“I’ve been coming here for a while and every single time, I’m treated with the same respect and friendliness that I look for in a business. Dani and Patti are two of my favorites, and they make me feel so at home when I’m here. The good food is just a plus, honestly.“

“Everything I’ve had here is so good! Feature items are always thoughtful and delicious. A regular menu go to is the twice baked potato, which is always so good. This weekend she featured a crab roll, which is one of the best I’ve ever had service is friendly and personal, and the environment is very cozy and welcoming.“

“An old fashioned hardware store turned into a modern day restaurant. The few remnants of the store are a handful of photos and cast iron stove.
Portions are generous and service is friendly. There were four of us and we had the brussel sprouts which were too salty, hippie black bean burger, Cesar salad with too much dressing and poke bowl.“

“Delicious food, came out hot and fresh in 7 minutes. Didn't once think I needed ketchup/hot sauce on the taters; they were full of flavor. Super friendly and welcoming staff.“

“We Love Ruby Brink! Burger night—say no more…! The beef dip sandwich on the lunch menu is another favorite. We love eating here for so many reasons though. This isn’t a “high staff turnover” type restaurant where you’ll be greeted by stressed out workers plastered with fake smiles fighting over tables like you might be used you. This is a grown-up establishment with grown-up food and grown-up and experienced, competent and empowered staff and I appreciate how this dynamic expressed itself in terms of guest experience. When I say that the food is grown-up I mean that it is carefully selected and prepared from scratch and this means it does not taste like what other restaurants are doing, which often is buying bags of frozen soup and sauces from the chef supply store to keep costs down and to keep everything tasting exactly the same, every time. You will taste different things here and that might surprise you. Ready yourself for that and enjoy!“

“stopped by on a whim as I drove down west valley highway and I was very pleased with the service and food! ordered lumpia, crispy pork belly combo and a brown sugar boba and I was blown away! the crispy pork was beyond good! came with a Mac salad some diced veggies and a wonderfully flavored rice with green onion. the lumpia was freshly made and the boba complimented everything. 10/10 would recommend“

“I got a burger, some fried, and a couple of Rainiers. I appreciated that even though it was a bar, and a sports bar at that, that the music wasn't too loud. The food was delicious though the burger was a tad smaller than id like, but it was juicy and cooked perfectly. My only real gripe is that I was meeting a large group and found that they only had one space setup to accommodate such a number, which was their square corner nook by the front door.“

“This restaurant is for the rebels, the rockers, the rule-breakers hankering to order illegal cheese. People who are aren’t afraid of BUTTER, FAT, RICH goodness. No white tablecloths or fussy service will be found here. You are here to eat. And the food is great.“

“Love having a local place to enjoy some good food and fun atmosphere. I've been coming here for years. Can still get food that was on menu years ago. Love Mom's mess for breakfast. Looking forward to spending many more days here and enjoying good food.“
“If you are in the mood for elegant, vintage drinks with a whimsical (truly whimsical) twist - look no further - thus is your stop, for a sip - or two, or... We had the Chai Old Fashioned and the Last Word... If the devil is in the details - so are the companions of Bacchus - the REAL maraschino cherry in the Last Word and the massive ice cube in the Old Fashioned confirm how serious thus place is about its drinks reputation. Also, the Cherry and Apricot Salad gave us that so very needed connection with the local farmers' produce, it being a delightfully crispy concoction of bitter radicchio and peppery greens, smoothed by a pungent goat cheese and vanilla balsamic vinaigrette. The bread and the sharp olive oil were especially appreciated with the salad. We love gelato, but ordered the blackberry sorbet and did not regret it since it came with a solid chunk of anise biscotti - an excellent pairing for the double espresso. Our waiter, Troy, made us feel well attended, but not even once did he overdo it.“

“We went to Copperleaf to celebrate my husband's birthday. Everything was perfect. He enjoyed the duck and I loved the sablefish. The sauce was amazing and the fish melted in my mouth. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back. A neighborhood gem.“

“This is not a typical Courtyard Bistro, they have a full restaurant. Staff was amazing, Savannah and Patrick. I ate here 3 times during my stay, everything was great. Calamari, Burger, Steak, Quesadilla. Great selection of local beers and spirits, overall a very nice bar selection for a Courtyard. Was not expecting that.
I also spoke with the manager to compliment him on the staff and food. I am hoping my job sends me back here in the future.
Oh and breakfast was also a good value and good food.“

“I recently had the chance to stop by RBG Bar & Grill, aka Bow Lake Provisions, and overall, it was a really enjoyable experience with a few small things that stood out.
From the moment you arrive, the place has a welcoming, laid-back vibe that feels both local and thoughtfully curated. It’s the kind of spot that seems to balance comfort food with a slightly elevated twist, and that definitely shows in the menu.
One of the highlights of my visit was the Homesteader’s Porridge. It was honestly done just right—warm, hearty, and comforting without being overly sweet or heavy. The flavors were well-balanced and subtle, which made it easy to enjoy every bite without feeling overwhelmed. It’s the kind of dish that feels nourishing and intentional rather than overly indulgent.
I also tried Mabel’s Famous Biscuit with ham, egg, and cheese, and this is where things got especially interesting. The combination itself was fantastic—the savory ham, fluffy egg, and melted cheese all came together beautifully. The biscuit, in particular, was incredibly buttery and soft, creating that classic, satisfying texture you’d expect. What really surprised me, though, was the addition of orange peel jam. It added a bright, slightly citrusy contrast that elevated the entire sandwich and made it more memorable than your typical breakfast biscuit.
That said, the biscuit did lean a bit too far on the buttery side. While that richness adds to the flavor, it also made the experience slightly messy—especially when opening the wrapping, where the grease was noticeably heavy. Toning that down just a touch would make an already great item even better.
Overall, Bow Lake Provisions delivers a solid and enjoyable dining experience. The food feels thoughtfully prepared, with creative touches that keep things interesting while still staying true to comforting, familiar flavors. Despite the slight issue with the overly buttery biscuit, everything else hit the mark, and it’s definitely a place worth visiting if you’re in the area.“

“We ate here recently and had mixed feelings after reading the reviews and it being a motel restaurant. My wife and I were greeted by our server and seated quickly. We had an entree, cocktail and dessert each. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent! I’m not sure about the reviews I read being accurate, but my experience was great. Thanks to the restaurant for starting our vacation out properly. I would absolutely recommend this place.“

“I always go to the smoke shop next door and I figured I'd stop in here and grab something to eat. I was not disappointed in the least bit. One of the best milkshakes that I've had in all of the Seattle area. I ordered the fish and chips and it was absolutely fire. Was served my food in under 5 minutes. Delicious, fast and worth the money. I would much rather eat here than at Dick's burgers to be honest.“

“Had an overnight stay at the Hotel for business. Didn’t want to go out just something simple but good. The classic burger did not disappoint. Cooked exactly as I asked. Super juicy and fresh toppings. Fries were the seasoned kind. Just crispy enough but not too much. The menu has lighter foods and more upscale if that is your craving. Service was friendly and food came out in a very reasonable amount of time.“

“This is the best new spot in town. Highly recommend. Their dishes are served as you asked, hot, fresh, and incredibly unique. Their reception is out of this world. I will definitely come back for an amazing time. No doubt. Try this new spot out and you will never regret the experience.“

“Solid lox sandwich, but not sure if it's $18 good. Maybe that's just the way of the world at this point. I'm originally from the Northeast (upper right) where good bagels are ubiquitous. I do have to say that these bagels are very good. Pricey, but good. The guy working the window seemed like he might be serving a community service sentence, or perhaps he was just hung over. But I was there for the product, not the service, so I won't ding them for the aloofness. (The person working the donut window next door was lovely and politely pointed me in the right direction, since the bagel window isn't as obvious.) Would I go back? Maybe. But at this price, these bagels seem more like a high end treat than a regular occurrence. Check it out for yourself. I didn't think you'll be disappointed.“

“In my opinion the best coffee around. It started with convenience and unlike Starbucks they made a standard delicious vanilla latte. But really it's all about the blended drinks. There are their specials which are all good but you can also get the coffee drinks blended & they use an ice cream base that takes it to a whole new level. Plus, you get a free bday drink which is a nice bonus. Highly recommend!“

“I LOVE Portage Bay Cafe!! The interior design and decor of this location is perfect for the West Seattle vibe . the atmosphere is intimate and inviting, and quietly fancy - you'll spend more money to eat there, but the emphasis is on the high quality of their locally sourced ingredients.
Speaking of ingredients - the food is always amazing! And their seasonal special items/dishes are always unique and appealing. Everything always tastes fresh, and I love that many ingredients are bought from small local/family-owned farms and businesses.“
