“Perry's is a highly recommended restaurant in Puyallup, offering a welcome alternative to the limited food options in the area. Known for its thoughtfully crafted cocktails and curated menu, Perry's attracts frequent visits from locals. The service is top-notch, with knowledgeable staff providing excellent timing and drink recommendations. The intimate atmosphere, with cozy and classy indoor decor, makes it an ideal location for date nights. However, smaller tables may feel cramped, especially when sharing flights of food and drinks. The menu offers a range of prices and a happy hour until 5:30pm. Standout dishes include the Arancini appetizer, crab/artichoke dip, and truffle burger. The steak, while pricey at $44, received mixed reviews. Dessert cocktails with chocolate and espresso provide a nice change from traditional sweets. The restaurant offers a variety of flights, although the Elijah Craig whiskey flight may not appeal to all tastes. Unfortunately, the highly sought-after Pappy Van Winkle was unavailable during one visit. Limited parking is available, so arriving early or utilizing street parking is recommended. Overall, Perry's is a cute and charming addition to Puyallup, offering delicious food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for returning visits.“

“I was craving great margaritas and wanted to do some exploring, and found this place on Maps. The reviews were good, so off we went on a mission of discovery. Maybe I should have been more concerned when the lady at the door asked me if I was carrying a gun but I was still into (she also asked my 53 year old self for ID and that always makes me happy. Not because I believe anyone mistakes me for under 21 but I enjoy the ritual of being asked - keeps me feeling young). Turns out Tuesday night is Marco’s Cantina’s busiest night and over the 90 minutes we were there it went from mild to wild. The service was slow because the two guys at the bar simply could not keep up with the people flowing into the joint. The food was tasty but it took ages to get to us, almost to the point where I was ready to just settle the bill and walk out without my food. The margaritas are made with a mixer. Nothing wrong with that but they are not scratch and not really remarkable. Too sweet to my taste but that’s a personal thing and the bar tender cut my second one with more lime juice to make it tarter. I appreciated the effort.
While I didn’t get frisked, every single guest arriving after us received a full pat-down, so they clearly weren’t joking about not being allowed in with a weapon. This crowd didn’t look like trouble but they weren’t taking any chances.
If you go, maybe pick any another night than Tuesday. Expect honest Mexican and dive-bar quality drinks. This was a family-run, friendly place on a crazy night with a cliental who were out for a night of fun. I wouldn’t see you bringing kids here, at least not in the evenings.
Parking: Lots of easy street parking around PLU in the evenings.“
