“One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the Seattle area. Come at an off peak meal time to get seats easily.Food wise, I always get a clay pot rice, with spareribs and Chinese sausages. It takes 15 minutes but you get that crispy rice with delicious saucey meat. Pour the soy sauce they provide all over the rice! The XO carrot cake is very good as well.“
“I moved to ID just to be within walking distance of this amazing place. This is my favorite food in all of ID!!! There’s not a single bad dish on this entire menu. No matter what time you order or who’s working, it’s always fantastic. The meats are always cooked perfectly, the noodles exquisite and the quality of their veggies are S+ They’re very accommodating to food requests and the ladies up front are always so kind!“
“The service here was incredible. I honestly couldn’t believe it. My wife and I each ordered a bowl of wonton soup. The server was nice enough to tell us one bowl was enough for two. Also when the guy came out with the wonton soup he was nice enough to spoon some out into a separate bowl for each one of us. I love the people there!“
“We bought a live red king ? crab, a live finish and live swamp eels from the seafood market next to it. They helped cook all the seafood in whatever way you want, they even could cook the king crab in three ways, very tasty ? the fried noodles and veggies are delicious ?. Highly recommended!“
“Busy, bustling atmosphere. EXCELLENT food, service was good. Really cool artwork on the walls, food is as authentic as I've ever had, the BBQ pork is their signature item.Only criticism would be that this area of Seattle is pretty sketchy. That's obviously not the restaraunts fault, though.“
“Casual (and busy!) American Chinese restaurant across from the marina. Absolutely delicious and large, shareable portions. We came in about 8pm and didn’t realize they close at 830 and the staff was attentive and very friendly despite that. I will be back to try more of the menu!“
“Poetic chaos. When you walk in during peak lunch time it is the exact vibe in HK where the server is running around and hosting, while bussing tables at the same time. They are somehow still very friendly and attentive. We ordered the pork belly and the French toast and both were just amazing. The braised pork belly was super tender and melted in my mouth. Each bite with the sauce and rice was just so satisfying. The French toast was nice and crispy but not soaked in oil. Can't wait to try their other signature HK dishes.“
“Hong Kong Bistro has become a fast favorite of mine for incredibly tasty dim sum.I am not Cantonese, but after traveling to Hong Kong several years ago and trying proper dim sum for the first time, I’ve been searching for something comparable ever since!A Cantonese friend of mine recommended HK Bistro as a very legitimate place to get my dim sum fix.HK Bistro provides all of the classics (char siu bao, shumai, salted egg yolk bao, pork ribs and chicken feet) and more! They serve most of their dim sum during the entirety of their open hours.I highly recommend their char siu bao, the youtiao rice roll (served before noon), congee, and pea greens. The radish cake, shrimp and pea vine dumplings, and the salt and pepper squid are also highly recommended! The service is great- don’t let the full lobby scare you off. They are very efficient at getting people seated in a timely manner. Make sure to go to the front desk to receive a number for you and your party.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian dishes- just make sure to ask about fish sauce, oyster sauce or stock in some of their vegetable dishes.“
“Adorable mom & pop place with classic tea house balcony and solid food. Staff was extremely friendly and food was tasty and freshly prepared. Good mix of dim sum staples and classic Hong Kong and Macau dishes like the baked casserole and coffee/tea mixed (if you really know HK diner food then you know this iconic beverage). Quiet and no wait so give them a try next time you're huddled outside next door!“
“Food was delicious and service attentive (dropped a chopstick due to clumsiness, immediately replaced by server). I always order eggplant in claypot when available, and this definitely hit the spot! The steamed egg was silky smooth and balanced out the savory flavours of the eggplant. Would recommend!“
“Great selection of desserts, staff are friendly, and nice place to sit. It's also one of the few places where the dessert reminds my mom of Hong Kong. We love their coconut puddings topped with sago, mango and chewy large tapioca balls and the mango purée with sago and mango pieces. My only complaints are 1) that they wait to serve the bubble waffles with the rest of the order, so they're only warm instead of hot if u have something else in the order, and 2) it's expensive. The desserts average $10 or more and they're just average size. Despite that, it's a great treat and we love going there.“
“My friend took me here because she swore it was her favorite noodle place in Seattle. And boy, it did not disappoint. I ordered, the pork and vegetable dumplings which were alright. And the beef Sichuan noodles (spicy).I normally enjoy a medium spice level but sheesh was this spicy (in the best way!). The broth was rich and spicy. So good that I ignored the spice and had to finish the bowl. I'm not a very big eater and I'd suggest sharing if you have the option.I did enjoy the fact that you can select a few toppings to customize your soup. Will be back again!“
“Simple food made well. Stopped in for some take out (that's the only option here), and found a diversmenu on the wall. Seems not everything is available, but my choice of chicken and duck on rice made the cut. I also had a choice of coke or sprite. That's it. They prepare the food right in front of you - don't get picky about boneless meat! They chop up your bird with hefty swings of a cleaver and ina few minutes, you're out the door. Aside from spitting rib bones once in a while, the food was great. Simple seasonings, simple presentation....and not screwed up in any way whatsoever. They even price things so that - after tax - your final prices are rounded to 00. I'll be back“
“The place is unassuming and the menu is diverse and has lots of specials that can be ordered days in advance. Everything was tasty but the bone in chicken I ordered wasn’t typical bone in it was chopped into chunks roughly through the bones so there were a lot of small bone fragments which made it difficult to eat and I wouldn’t recommend for small children or those with orthodontics at all for this reason. The chestnuts were slightly underdone as well. The green beans and rice were excellent and I appreciated the tea served with the meal“
“i usually do not review places on google. but this had the best congee i ever had in my life. Please try the century egg clam meat congee! it is amazing! i love this place. If i ever visit Seattle in the future i will definitely come back again!- sending appreciation from singapore!?“
“Great place for a quick Dim Sum treat. The items are not as abundant as you can get in a normal restaurant that serves dim sum, but there are still a lot to choose from. And you can find most of the signature dim sum dishes like shrimp dumplings, shumai, steam rice noodle rolls, sesame balls, etc. And the best thing about this place is you can order any quantity you'd like.“
“I got the spicy fried chicken and fried rice for takeout. Omg it was so good reminding me of home back on the East Coast. The price I paid was worth it because I actually have leftovers for tomorrow as well. Nice place to lunch in if you want.“
“We ordered Yellow Eel Rice Stone Pot wiz Soup, Chicken wiz Scallion and Soy Sauce, Chicken Wing wiz Salted Egg Yolk and Pea Vine in Broth. All are of good taste !If only discussing the taste of food, I will say it's the best Cantonese restaurant in Seattle area!!!“
“My first time having Dim Sum, so take my review with a grain of soy sauce. I thought it was really great and I think the mobile ordering is a great idea too. It was incredibly affordable for how much food we got. I recommend ordering a few dishes and splitting them.“
“This is a good Chinese Food restaurant. They have a very large menu to include an extensive seafood menu. You can order live fish and seafood, and have it cooked to order. This is a great place to get late night eats, they’re open till 3:30am on the weekends.“
“The rice rolls are pretty good, rather glutinous and not authentic rice noodles. The leek dumplings are meaty and a bit greasy, so it’s okay to eat them with some vinegar. The black sesame paste is not very delicate, almost the same as making it at home. The soup was just average, I won’t order it again.“
“Yummy food and generous portions! We came to this place around noon on a Sunday. We ordered claypot spicy beef rice noodle, wonton Sui-Kau Noodle soup, and Salt Pepper fried chicken. All tatses pretty good and homey! I'd recommend trying the claypot noodle if you want to try something more flavorful beyond the general canton dishes. It comes in different soup options: spicy, tomato, golden hot and sour etc. and it has loads of toppings including fish balls, beef balls, corns, ham, greens, etc. The service is very nice.“
“One of the last traditional Cantonese casual restaurants left around Seattle. Roast duck, sweet and sour pork, salt & pepper chicken wings. Can get busy on weekend evening. They do live seafood such as crabs, fish, lobster but they overcharge by doubling the weight claimed. Had a lobster and was charged for 5 pounds lobster ($175 !) while what I saw was about a 2 lbs lobster. I was charged 4 lbs for a dungenese crab which I have never seen a 4 lbs dungenese crab ever. The largest I have seen is slightly over 2 lbs and the one we had should be around 2 lbs. They are really dishonest in their seafood by the pound so beware.“
