“We had a wonderful meal last night. Not a big place (cozy feel) and we had to wait 30 minutes for a table. Our server was wonderful and when we said we were sharing everything she actually plated all our dishes separately which was so nice. We sampled the ciders and had drink specials. We had the beet salad, cup of crab bisque and mushroom burger. Everything was delicious! I would definitely recommend and we will be going back. The new wine bar next door looks fantastic and we will be trying it out next.“

“I have to prelude this review by saying I am a breakfast snob. I have rarely (maybe one other time) thought to myself after having breakfast at a restaurant "wow that was amazing, I couldn't have done it better" but I make some pretty amazing breakfasts. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! There was a huge line when we got there but it was so worth the wait. We had the blueberry pancakes which come with 2 eggs and bacon and the chicken fried steak which comes with your choice of sausage or chorizo gravy, 2 eggs, hashbrowns and toast. The food was so good we could stop eating and the waitress and host were so so nice. “Today was our first time in. Great inviting atmosphere and delicious food. we live about an hour and a half away but this will be the food stop any time we come to town.“

“We had a date night here and were absolutely impressed. The Beecher’s grilled cheese and butternut squash soup was a stand out. Both of our pasta entrees were phenomenal as well. The star of the show, though, was our dessert, which was a deconstructed PB&J. I don’t think I’ve ever had something that had such a wide variety of complementary textures. It was amazing and flavorful.“

“They were pretty busy when we went, but you can check into the waiting list online ahead of time so that helps. I had the Cornbeef Hash and my wife had the pancakes. It was absolutely an amazing breakfast. The coffee is really great, nice and strong, not watered down like a lot of places. We got our food pretty quick and our waitress didnt forget about us after it arrived. I had a side of French toast with my breakfast and it was REALLY good. HIGHLY recommend this for breakfast.“

“my husband and I will go there about few times a year. this was my father in laws favorite place to eat every Wednesday with his brother for many yrs. Yesterday(July 21st) we ate there at approximately 7pm. very nice waiter we had. my husband ordered a Chicken Fried Steak breakfast. he indicated that that meat was very tough and rubbery. I tasted it and totally agreed with him. but that won't stop us from going there again. we did show up on July 16th(Sunday). had no idea you closed up so early(it was about 6pm)“

“My husband and I moved to Lakewood last year from Ocean Shores where we owned a wine bar/shoppe and decided to try and find a place that we could enjoy being “on the other side of the bar.” This is the first place that we truly enjoyed ourselves in. The owners, Cosette and John are wonderfully welcoming and provide a warm atmosphere with a nice wine list and tasty offerings to nibble on. Their house made crackers and cheese board are wonderful!“

I called about an hour before our arrival and said we didn’t need to be seated together, just grouped closely. They had one table set up and ready to go. “Doing a short road to from Portland to Seattle and needed lunch- the best answer is not to get off the freeway and drive into Olympia - nope, stop here- quick on and off the freeway- the food is really good, the portions are large and well priced. It's Friday so, while the steamer clams looked great I went for the fish and chip special. Comes with a couple of pieces of fish, fries, slaw and a cup of clam chowder- all pretty great. Partner, also had a cup of chowder but, attempting to set a good example had a half salad and it was also good and a very ample portion. However he was casting an envious eye at my, probably less healthy but yummy plate. Being a more than amply serving I did share everything but the fish- nope all mine. With a good tip as yelpers always do- under $40.00- and, since it's a road trip enjoy the super clean bathrooms. An added benefit is the very short drive down the road to the Nisqually delta bird reserve. Even if you just drive in and take a short walk around the headquarters building it's a great way to get out of the car and stretch. So, a great meal and a visit to the bird reserve. Do yourself a solid, give these nice people your money - and say hello to the birds.“
