“I just ate here and had the General Tao’s Chicken—absolutely delicious! One of the best teriyaki places I’ve been to. The chicken was perfectly crispy with a great balance of sweet and spicy in the sauce. Even the side salad stood out—fresh, crisp, and flavorful, which is rare for a quick teriyaki spot. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. Highly recommend if you're in the area and craving something tasty!“

“This review only reflects quality at soft opening. Garlic ramen and creamy scallop was the highlight. Broth was hot and flavorful. Noodle was too soft. Probably about 30-40 seconds overcooked. Char-Siu was tender and have balanced fat. Soft boil egg was close to perfect. Regarding onigiri, rice was cooked right but about 20% too much in volume. Scallop was sweet. Softshell crab was so-so. Beer was priced fairly. Would be back in a couple months.“

“These place is legit. We got the teriyaki chicken and chicken yakisoba. We paid $28 total and the potion is very generous. It’s enough food for 4 people to split. The chicken is well seasoned and charred, the rice is perfectly cooked.my only feedback is the yakisoba noodles is a bit sticky this time. Overall all I highly recommend this place.“

on my most recent visit i got the salmon skin hand roll (10/10) , squid salad (10/10) , seared salmon nigiri (10/10)

the salmon skin is the best ive tried , the roll has a good amount of the salmon skin , also i love that it was separated enough so i could try it on its own , if you've never tried it , i highly reccommened it

squid salad is DELICIOUS, this is the first time trying it and my expectations have been set so high , its so full of flavor , every ingredient compliments its self ! def give it a try !

the seared salmon nigiri literally melted in my mouth , it had a perfect toasty taste , and with a little bit of soy sauce , absolutely incredible !

ive been here a couple of times ( i come alone , it feels safe and no judgement ) , so yummy ! the environment is pleasent , really cute . today i tried the eel and octopus nigiri for the first time , yum , im definitely getting them again ! Asahi beer is also delicious, it has a honey after taste . i also had the sweet potato roll , definitely a must try if you like your sweet potatoes ! the potatoes are fried with a crispy outside and theres a chili sauce , i think , it compliments the dish well :)“

“My mom and I came for Fujiya Ramen but found it closed permanently. But like a hero, Wagaya appeared from across the parking lot with an absolutely delicious tonkotsu ramen! It had a broth so good, my mom said it was some of the best she ever had! A cozy atmosphere and friendly staff is a nice plus too!“

“This is our favorite Ichi location in Vancouver. We usually call in a to-go order, which is convenient, and the service is prompt. The portions are worth the price and taste authentic.Pictured below is my favorite, spicy chicken breast teriyaki with onions, red bell peppers, mushrooms, and green onions. The entree is also served with plenty of steamed white rice, a side of teriyaki sauce, and a salad with signature dressing. You can request chili sauce on the side as well. This location is part of the Heritage shopping center, always has parking, and helpful staff.“

“Don’t listen to the bad reviews. I’ve been going to eat there At least once or twice a month for years. My suggestion is as you go in and eat there. It’s small, but it’s worth it. They are known for their chicken teriyaki and beef teriyaki, which is very good. I don’t know if they’re known for the ribs because I’m not silly enough to Order ribs because I am smart enough to know I need to go to A place that specializes in barbecue ribs. I’m going there for teriyaki chicken and teriyaki beef. They hit that out of the park and bring you a nice large Plate with a good amount of chicken or beef with fresh salad with that really good tasting Asian dressing, and two balls Of rice and a Free egg drop soup which is very good.
All I can say is, don’t listen to the negative reviews. I have never been disappointed there and I always walk out very full and satisfied. Everyone there is intensely nice and no one’s trying to take you a ride for what you pay. I’ve never ordered takeout, but I’m sure the quality of the beef and chicken is still the same, but I can’t address the takeout because I never done that. I like eating in the restaurant because the atmosphere is relaxed even though it is very small.“

“The best bang for your buck when it comes to Japanese food. All you can eat for a decent price. Tons of sushi options (yep! All-you-can-eat sushi), fresh grill-style options, and plenty of other Japanese options, including noodles, rice, gyozas, Kung Pao, beef, chicken skewers, string beans, hot and cold beverages, and of course soups and deserts. Staff are friendly and clear tables quickly to keep the wait time to none most of the time. The noise level is like most restaurants, it depends on how many people are in there. Our go-to for sushi and Japanese. My family loves sushi, but I don't like it and there are still plenty of options for me. Well worth it. You'll love it if you try it.“

“Getting so expensive. 17.37 for a chicken soba with double chicken. I don't go to very often. But I remember when it use to be 2 bucks for double chicken. And now they also charge for a side of hot sauce.Food is good though.Staff can be more friendlier, act like they care at least.“

“This was our second time at Shin Sen. The first time, we ate at a table in the restaurant area. This time, we sat at the bar. The bar area is small but has a great ambience. They were very busy which is probably why it took a few minutes to get us water and our first drink. After that, everything was wonderful. Our bartender/server was the same as we had at our first time and she was very friendly and talkative - something we really like in a bartender. Husband had the spicy chicken teriyaki (add veggies) and he loved it. I had the Geisha Roll which was good but not as good as the Vancouver Roll I had the first time. Also, had the seaweed salad which was one of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend this place!“

“Definitely a place to visit 🤎 The gyoza were nice, full and juicy. The Spicy Pork and Kung Pao Chicken were savory and the sauce was delicious!! The yakisoba and rice were both fantastic! 😋 While we were dining, Sam, the manager came out to greet us.. very friendly and was very kind and appreciative. Another awesome thing about this place is the excellent service and clean tables!! Reasonable prices as well! The menu has so many options, I look forward to going back and trying other menu items. “These folks are not messing around. This is seriously some of the best Hawai’i food I’ve found on mainland. All staff are islanders and food is authentic. Staff are friendly and helpful. All around 5/5 can’t wait to come back and try more menu items. The Kailua pork was incredible.“

Food protions are BIG! I you get full so quickly and they pricing is good.

They put out multiple of the same sushi out to make sure theirs enough to go around.

Customer service is great, they always ask if you need anything even though there is a language barrier.

Would highly recommend for couples and those who are sushi lovers as much as I do ^w^“

“Everytime my wife and I eat here the food has been phenomenal. I've only dealt with the lady and she's always been easy to deal with. The serving size is pretty decent also plus you get a salad, which I never eat simply cause I'm full but the ingredients are fresh every time.“

“This has been my husband’s and mines go to for years, since around 2017. It used to be amazing and honestly can be when you go during non busy hours.
Still love it, still cheaper than most sushi places and we will still come back.“
