“Conveyor belt sushi, happy hour plates are $2.50Decent selection of the usual suspects, delicious tea, nice music. I generally go here on casual outings, but it would be just fine for a date.Vegetarian options: They have tamago (sweet omlette) sushi, edamame, miso soup, vegetable tempura, and seaweed salad.“
“Best sushi in Portland hands down. Fish quality and selection is always 10/10. Chefs are the real deal and are so fun to watch (highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar).Dietary restrictions: They always ask you as soon as you walk in whether you have any restrictions.“
“Wu-Rons is the new best place for ramen in Portland. I almost don’t want to tell people because it was so easy and fast to get a bowl of their Nagahama Tonkotsu ramen. The menu is simple and authentic. The old Noraneko space it resides in has been simplified as well, making the space easier to be in while maintaining its dignity as a spot to get a solid bowl of ramen. It is cliche for someone like me, a 30 year old nerd, to say “I’ve had a lot of ramen” but it’s true. Across Japan and throughout Portland. Ramen restaurants stateside often struggle to present the real experience of one of Japan’s key foods. It doesn’t need to be elevated or exotic or chic to be special. Solid broth. Solid noodles. Solid chashu. Assembled cleanly. Something a truck driver traveling through Fukuoka could get on a rainy day. That’s Wu-Rons and I can’t wait to go back.“
“Ramen Ryoma in Portland, Oregon, is a haven for ramen enthusiasts and Japanese cuisine lovers alike. Their ramen is a flavorful delight, boasting rich broth and perfectly cooked noodles that satisfy even the most discerning palates. The addition of takoyaki and karaage adds a delightful twist to the dining experience, showcasing the chef's expertise in crafting authentic Japanese dishes. Conveniently located, Ramen Ryoma invites diners to indulge in a culinary journey without straying far from the city center. The friendly staff enhances the overall experience, ensuring each visit is met with warmth and hospitality, making it a must-visit destination for foodies in Portland.“
“Lots of seating options, fun vibe, staff was very friendly. We got a mango lemonade and the spicy chicken tan tan with no vegetables + soft boiled egg. Broth was very flavorful and noodles were perfect. So much flavor in the bowls and the lemonade was super flavorful! Definitely will be coming back!!“
“I got the yuzu miso ramen and my wife got the lime shio ramen. We also got chicken karaage with lemon sriracha aioli. Everything was fantastic. Such a good balance of flavors and just absolutely amazing. The workers were extremely friendly as well. I am 100% coming back here!“
“I come here often especially during racing season. It’s always the best ramen and Udon I can find. Fresh, hot, tasty, and friendly service. It’s not overly priced either for what you get. Small “hole in the wall” place with amazing food, you won’t regret it. I try and introduce as many friends as I can to this place“
“BEST VEGAN Ramen ANYWHERE!!I lived in Southern California where LA & San Diego is known for their superior ramen restaurants. (I mentioned this to the owner of this place and he agreed). I’ve been to the “best” ramen places around California and Oregon. This ramen is the BEST I’ve ever had. Hands-down.If you are a vegan, the Tan Tan is just amazing.“
“I started off my Saturday with a great meal with a good friend. We had a reservation for a distillery tour and we wanted to make sure we had a good base for the day ahead.Overall our experience was great. The staff was really nice and the food came out quickly. The ramen was pretty good, I’d say maybe a 7. The Fried Chx Rice bowl definitely hit the spot as well as the buns.“
“This place was amazing. We had their black garlic ramen and spicy garlic ramen. It was packed with flavors and on point. . Service was fast and friendly. It is located at Pine Street Market food hall. We would recommend this place to anyone that likes being in downtown. Amazing place!“
“One of the best ramen experiences I have had since living in Portland. Erica, behind the counter, could not have been more amazing. Extremely accommodating and helpful. This place offers the at home atmosphere with a Japanese twist. Large portions, offers a great bang for your buck and yet still delicious. I will be back for sure.“
“Hands down my favorite place to get ramen. I do not live in the area so when I visit, this is definitely one of my stops. In fact, when my people in this area come to visit me, they pick up an order before coming. Tonkotsu Red is my absolute favorite! Great and consistent food, friendly staff.“
“Live right around the corner and this is our go to sushi spot! Incredible staff, so pleasant and attentive! On top of the phenomenal service they have gluten free tempura which feels like such a treat. I also highly recommend chance of rain. If you’re on Mississippi you need to stop here!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free tempera!!!“
“We visited on a weekday evening for dinner. I would definitely look up pictures of street view for this place as it is not easy to spot especially if it’s your first time visiting. We got seated at the bar. It’s a small space but tasteful. We got the Kakuni Tonkotsu and shoyu ramen. Both were delicious with flavorful broth and tender meat.We were offered two spice levels mild or . We chose medium but it was a bit hot for our liking so will choose mild next time.“
“High recommend checking this place out!!!Got the SJ King and the Bulgogi don, both were delicious and definitely have us wanting to come back for more! The bulgogi was sweet and savory and definitely one of the best I've had, while the SJ king will satisfy your deep fried rolls need, staff was super nice and the food came out really quick :)“
“I come here at least once a week, and my go-to is their yakisoba (I get it spicy). Easily my favorite place to get food in town!Parking: Sometimes it’s busy in the area, and also the spaces are really cramped.Kid-friendliness: The pavilion has seating for more people than are usually there. Tables usually have 4 seats.Wheelchair accessibility: It may be difficult to maneuver larger wheelchairs up to the window, and it’s high up.“
“I've been here twice now and the food has been consistently good. First time I got the Cali burrito which was tasty, but I do wish the fries were just a little crispier. They seemed just a little undercooked. Second time I got the super nachos with chicken and they were good. A ton of food for a good price. Service is also consistently great and I love all their salsas. Definitely want to come back and try the ramen and queso taco next time.“
“Went here for the first time this week and it was AMAZING. We came in during a week day later in the night and we practically had the place to ourselves, our waiter Karra had superb service. The food was delicious to say the least and the menu had a good variety of options to choose from. The atmosphere was also great, very calm, dim, and somewhere you can get lost talking while eating for hours. We ordered veggie ramen, hello kitty (must try), and miso soup!“
“We just had an early dinner here and it may be my fav new ramen place! The food is delicious and the biggest bonus for me is that they have a gluten free option for noodles that is actually delish. They have great cocktails, a wide variety of Japanese spirits, and great non-alcoholic options. The only negative is that they were out of coloring sheets for my 4 year old, but they did have crayons and we made it work with some paper from our car. We ordered some take out for my husband and it was packaged neatly in very practical and reusable containers. The interior is well decorated and it’s a great atmosphere. We really enjoyed our experience!!Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free noodles and options, and all of their dishes are clearly labeled with other allergens.“

“A quaint little ramen shop. Got that hole in the wall vibe. The most incredible coconut miso ramen. Everything I've tried from their menu is first rate but that ramen is on a whole other level. 12 of 10. Try this ramen. Seriously one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth.“
“I come here for lunch pretty often and I love this place. One time I had an issue with an order and they went above and beyond to fix it (I didn't even ask for anything, just pointed out my issue). Love this place. The Chicken Karaage is GREAT!!“
“The mt fuji is some how better than the sum of it's parts... They're cooking the rice with some crazy recipe or something, cause it's so good. Better than will made sushi good. I usually think burritos are silly and worse than sushi.....This, this is good.“
“First time trying the yuzu miso ramen broth. It had a subtle yuzu flavor and was perfect for a cold afternoon. The staff was friendly. Overall anytime I'm in the area and crave a quick comforting bowl of ramen, this will be my goto place.“
“We've had Mikasa delivery a few times and finally got to go in person. It's a nice, small, restaurant with a few tables along 1 wall. The waitresses were friendly and helpful with our questions before ordering. We got the gyoza, edamame, miso ramen, laksa ramen (made gluten free), cali & avocado rolls, and a poke bowl. Everyone was very happy with their order and gobbled it. The laksa was nicely spicy and the soft boiled egg in the ramen was so good. We'll definitely be back!Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian options and they were really accommodating about food allergies so would probably also accommodate vegetarian requestsDietary restrictions: Server double checked with the kitchen for our dietary restrictions without us asking her to.Parking: Street parking on the side streetsKid-friendliness: Gyoza, edamame, and other kid friendly options. Our girls loved what they got.“

“This place is really fun! The vibes are great and they will not rush you out the door (defeating the point of an Izakaya) It's a bit pricey and while the food is good. Its not ground breaking, but if you want actual Izakaya vibes this is the only place I've found in all of Oregon let alone Portland that fits the bill.“
“Kenji's is the first real ramen I ever had (almost 3 years ago now) and it remains my favorite. They do a fantastic job with the style and atmosphere. It's clean and quick. The food is also just so deliciously put together. There hasn't been an item yet I haven't liked. For my start into ramen, I feel I was trained by the pros. If you're in the area, give it a try! (Also highly recommend the loaded fries, they are )“
