On a weekend morning, there weren’t many servers, and although the restaurant wasn’t crowded, it still felt quite busy. I ordered brunch and a Margherita pizza. The food was delicious, but there were a few flaws, like the eggs Benedict being overcooked, with no runny yolk at all.”

Got to meet a super nice bartender (thanks Diane), who made us feel at home, made us the BEST frozen pizza that we have had a in a very long time. Then we ordered the Bruchetta appetizer and that balsamic glaze was just so good! “The hot pot was so good! Our server was Leon, he took great care of us. He suggested the chicken broth and the miso broth. For the meats we had lamb, beef and chicken. The flavors were super tasty! Leon even made us a fresh dipping sauce that elevated the experience and boosted the flavors. We can’t wait to visit again when we are in town!

“Growler Guys is an Eau Claire fixture. When I lived in Eau Claire, this was my regular hang out and I met the love of my life here (no guarantees - but give it a try!) The owner is a stand up guy and the staff really cares about customer experience. It’s a true community spot and even on days off as a busy resident physician, I found myself volunteering for the community events (Mother’s day, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc.) If you are young/new parents, you and your children are so welcome! If you’re single or childless and just want to meet new friends, don’t think twice. For those who limit or don’t drink alcohol, there are plenty of alternatives. This was the first place I ever visited when I moved to Eau Claire (peri-pandemic) and the last place I bid farewell to when I moved. It will always have a special place in my heart. Run, don’t walk folks!”

Despite the large crowd they were attentive, fast and so welcoming. It seemed like they all genuinely enjoyed it all when it would have been easy to feel overwhelmed. The room had the perfect setup allowing for ease at getting food and drinks. Our bartender Hannah was great!!”

“WOW, was this good! I'm a Chicago girl, and grew up with gyros running through my veins, and this was just right! I requested grilled onions, which were perfect atop a blanket of gyros atop a bed of rice. There was a side of a bean puree (maybe chickpeas/garbanzos?) that was so good I could have eaten a bowl of that, alone! The falafel was perhaps a bit dense in texture (personal preference, not a criticism!), but the flavor was terrific, and the sauce was so good you could bathe in it! The owner's wife was flying solo this Sunday but, despite that, food was done in a completely reasonably amount of time, especially given the falafel was fried fresh to order, as were my requested onions. She couldn't have been sweeter, confirmed to me that the rice is Basmati, falafel mix was made that day, kept apologizing for the delay (truly, a 6-8 minute wait for fresh-to-order food is nothing; I've waited 20-25 minutes at Burger King in Black River Falls! Yikes!). The prices were super-reasonable, and the quality of everything was excellent. Consider me the newest fan, and I encourage visitors to Oakwood Mall or folks who live nearby to visit; we need another good Mediterranean option in Wisconsin, and these guys are terrific! I make chicken shawarma all the time; looking forward to my next visit to Eau Claire to try theirs, as well as those Mediterranean fries I keep hearing so much about!!! Mainly because of parking, there are many places. I would love to go to on water st and Barstow area But I am not gonna waste my time trying to find a place to park. “It was our first time at Sammy’s. Hubby and I wanted something quick and simple and affordable. I had always wanted to stop for the salad buffet. We ordered the lunch special which is the personal pizza and salad bar. The salad bar was good but if I had my way, I wish it had greens and not shredded iceberg. I’d pay a dollar or two more for that. 😂 But it was still good and fresh. The waitress was SUUUUPPPEERR friendly. I asked her recommendation for pizza and she said the primo which is what I ordered. It did not disappoint! What I noticed immediately that it was REAL sausage chunks. Not the cheap pellets you sometimes see. Also I saw that there was sausage evenly distributed to ensure you get a piece of meat at every bite. Most places don’t do that and it drives me nuts. The crust was thin and crunchy which I loved. There was a good sauce to cheese ratio. If you want something affordable, stop at this great mom n pop restaurant. They even have take home frozen pizzas. No cardboard pizzas here. We will be regular customers when we crave pizza. Yumm!”

“Upon my recent visit to Mueang Thai, I found myself grappling with a blend of highs and lows. While the food was undeniably impressive, the overall service left much to be desired.

The wait time for our meals was noticeably prolonged, which can be frustrating, particularly when hunger is building. Additionally, the lack of drink refills during our dinner only compounded this feeling of neglect.

However, the food itself was a standout. Each laab dish we ordered was well-crafted and bursting with flavor. It was evident that great care had gone into the preparation and presentation, making the culinary experience quite enjoyable.

In conclusion, while the quality of the food was exceptional, the slow service overshadowed the evening. I hope that Mueang Thai can improve on its service side to complement its culinary strengths in the future.”

“The staff behind the counter at the Eau Claire location are the best team in the city. I’ve ran into issues with the app, and they were more than happy to help me. There are countless sub-sandwich places, but this location is the only one with heart. The way you’re greeted walking in/out the door, is like you’re an old friend or family. They go above and beyond every chance that I’ve seen. They do an excellent job of listening to their guests, and making sure they get exactly what they want, in a timely fashion. I’ve never left a sub-shop with a bigger smile or satisfied stomach. All of these folks work very hard, and it’s noticed by every customer that gets to enjoy the FHS culture they so perfectly convey.”

At 1:10 the couple behind me got their order(S) I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and was solo. I had other oligations going on I had to get to, I figured it wouldn't take that long for a chicken salad. Once you submit and pay for the order they will get started on your order. The QR code also is linked to the table you are sitting at. I only got the pho, the flavor tasted very OG but overall decent with decent portions. Didnt get any toppings like bean sprouts, basil, or lime not sure if that normal but I am ok with or without always just a plus.”

“This is more of a college hang out but my friends and I found it fun to stop for a beer, and it’s on a very bar saturated street- Water Street. We shared some incredible Wisconsin cheese curds. Compared to other places we went the prices here are much more reasonable. More than likely to keep the younger crowd happy. There are dartboards and pool tables, and it’s a fairly large place. Lots of fun was being had by all by looking around!”

“Awesome bar that has completely outlived its longtime reputation as a trouble spot. I started hanging out there about 10 years ago because I could always find a good pool game. Before I actually went there, I had always heard about Bullpen's rough reputation. Much better bar and crowd than I anticipated. Still, it was a little rough for my taste. Especially on Friday & Saturday nights. Over the past 6 or 7 years, Bullpen has completely transformed that image from olden days. This is now the only bar that I frequent. Ping & Michelle; the owners; are fantastic people who care about their customers & employees like family. I am proud to say that they are now close personal friends of mine. Drinks are the best value in town. The crowd that hangs out there is diverse and some of the best friends I have ever known. Always a diverse selection of sports on the multiple big screens. Always great music being played by a customer base that knows their music. Finally, my main motivation for going there. hands down the best pool tables in Eau Claire. Well maintained tables and a variety of pool tournaments throughout every week. If you avoid the Bullpen because of an oudated reputation for being a trouble spot, it's your loss. Personally, I can't imagine a better place to hang out, listen to good tunes and shoot some pool. Hats off to Ping & Michelle for being awesome owners and great friends.”

On a Friday evening a few weeks ago, my children and I were about to leave a nearby restaurant on our bikes when my 8-year-old daughter fell, hurting her leg. I was trying to comfort her as she sat on the concrete crying when I noticed a Starbucks employee approaching us from across the parking lot. We weren't even customers, but she had spotted us through the drive-thru window and wanted to help. The employee (whose name, unfortunately, I don't remember) guided us back to the store and offered my daughter some Band-Aids and a cake pop, which rapidly turned her tears to smiles. It is these little acts of kindness that make the world a better place, and I want to make sure this employee and her co-workers get the credit they deserve!😄”

“A spacious and comfortable stay. This Sleep Inn Suites & Conference Center is the full package deal, including a lounge area open till 2am on the weekends and a 24/7 travel and gas station onsite. A short drive into downtown Eau Claire, this location is convenient and also totally quiet and relaxed. Everything you need for a comfortable stop on your trip. I travel regularly for work, and arriving at a hotel and not having to drive around more for food, drinks or snacks makes all the difference to me. The breakfast is great. Good standard options, coffee, and juice. There’s a ton of space in the general area to spread out and work. WIFI is fast and easy to connect. I was traveling for work, but there was a wedding party happening on the premises that night as well. That made for a fun setting, and there’s enough space that it never felt crowded or noisy. The suite was large! Plenty of room for an additional roll-away bed if needed. The room was exceptionally clean, and all usable items refilled. Comfortable bed, a nice TV. Ample closet and storage space. Everything I needed. I played a music festival earlier in the day, and the photos are from after arriving and immediately taking a nap. Very comfortable and we got much-needed rest. Check in was fast and convenient. The covered entry is nice on a hot, sunny day. The pool area is large! There’s a hot tub as well. Everything was in good condition and working. The exercise facility was also in great shape, clean, and had all the essentials. This was an easy and convenient stay. I would gladly return next time I'm in the area.”
