“We are really happy that we chose Capital for our wedding reception. Dawn and colleagues were very accommodating and helpful, and the bartenders on the night were fantastic. We had the two indoors rooms and access to the biergarten, and (despite my best efforts with a killer wedding playlist) by the end of the night everyone was out in the biergarten listening to the great live band. “Friendly locally owned place. One of the oldest buildings in Middleton. Ambience is a bit like drinking in your crazy uncle's basement (i.e. the furnace is in the middle of the room) with strong drinks and good food.“

“They had a glitch with their online order; let me order Prime Rib on a day that they did not serve; when I arrived to pickup, they had no online order for me, even though I received a confirmation. “I have been here multiple times, and every visit is nothing short from amazing! Wait staff are always unbelievably friendly and attentive, the food is always made fresh to order and comes out looking beautiful every time. There isn’t a single item on the menu that I haven’t liked. Prices are more than fair, and competitive with most State St restaurant prices. The owner is very sweet and is always happy to see you! Every time I’ve come alone she makes sure I have a stuffed furry friend to keep me company.

If you’re ever in the downtown area, I highly recommend stopping by for lunch, dinner, or a snack, and have it accompanied by a beautiful cocktail!

“One of my favorite foods is pastys, I was excited to learn about this place, otherwise you would find them normal in the u.p area of Wisconsin. All of the varieties are great! Had the chicken tikka masala one today, was awesome! I do like they wrap it in foil, because my 40min drive home it's still warm!“

“I really like the food and ambiance. I got some matcha, a burrito, and a granola bowl. They were able to make my burrito bacon free. They make the food to order, it’s not premade. The girl who helped me was super nice too.

They have like a mini store with items you might need like personal hygiene items, but also items for your pup like dog treats and dog care items. They also have cute handmade earrings. It’s a very cool concept, and I appreciate that they have like a “mini convenience store” given that there’s not many places around the area to get these items. Perfect for emergency or a quick buy if you don’t wanna drive 20 min to the nearest convenience store.

I had been here before and I loved it. I don’t live in the area, I actually live like a 25 ish min drive from this place but I wanted good food and remembered visiting this place after a yoga session at perennial. I drove here and couldn’t find the place initially, and thought they had closed and it made me really sad. Then I called the number on maps, and they’re still open, GPS is just weird.

Walking around this coffee shop/mini convenience store made me think “wow this is such a cool concept, and I hope they stay in business” which is what compelled me to write a review :)“

“The food is simple (sandwich, salads, burger and a few other options) but tasty. The staff is friendly and makes sure yi ur experience is good, and the decor is nice. Bonus point for the nice selection of whisky and spirits, great for a restaurant. Also, during happy hour a few items are very fairly priced. Went twice, loved it both times, and will come back again. Thank you for the hard work!“

Food is so fresh and good but the kicker was their Choc Espresso Caramel Cake! 💚 in fact we came back 2 weeks later, today, to have brunch again and buy a whole cake to bring home! Very friendly staff as well! Definitely recommend. I want to try everything on their menu!“
