“I had a great experience at this establishment. The owner greeted me at the door with a smile. The server also greeted me with a smile. They sat me down and explained the special menu and the regular menu. I figured out what I wanted. I love that they have wheat pancakes. I got blueberry. The eggs were perfectly scrambled soft and that cheese pull was amazing. Everything about that breakfast was great. Gave me the itis. It was sooooo good. 1000/10!“

We’ve never had a bad experience or food, but today was particularly exceptional as it was the first time we brought our boys (2 years and 11 months). We had promised our 2 year old ice cream with breakfast as where we were originally going to go, they have malts. Much to our surprise they were closed, cue the toddler meltdown 🫠 Highlands cafe to save the day! No wait, they made a “special ice cream drink” right away for our 2 year old (chocolate milk with whip cream and sprinkles) and he could not have been more happy. The food was excellent to boot! Great experience till we moved in side. the waitress was more concerned about her getting tips and wasnt polite when I asked to turn up a game that was on. she spent more time changing our check then getting two beers. we got the check before the beer and was forced out by her racism and anger towrds a white couple. if the roles where reversed she would be up and arms. so we got forced to leave not by words by actions. we got disappointed i wouldn't recommend going there for an event like a parade at least not in side the out side tables where hard to sit in and the benches where if not loose then broken. dont expect out side service you hve to go inside to order and pick up everything. the bartender was spot of if you want a shot and a beer. the inside service sucked“

Onion rings were hot with a firm dense crust. My friend and I were almost in disbelief. Staff was incredibly polite. Clientele, (place was packed), were well-mannered. “Solid place, and the only game in town after midnight. After a night of partying, we were starving at around 2:30AM. Thankfully, this place was open, and we arrived in our white-tie attire to enjoy chilli.

Hotdogs were fine, had the Chicago style with all the fixings, and tried some of the chilli. I wish I got that, but alas, it's a recipe for disaster.

Service was fine, not rude or anything like some have described here. They were certainly ready to go home, but who wouldn't be when a group of weirdos comes in a half hour before closing?

“Just tried this place today. An all I can say it such a wonderful breakfast. My wife has a gluten allergy. They are very knowledgeable, know what there doing. An make your experience the best it can be. Gluten free French toast with in house made gluten free bread. It was delicious. Made the wife cry happy tears knowing she could feel normal.
