“I went to LuLu Cafe with my mom and our waiter, Joel, was outstanding! He was very friendly, accommodating, and provided exceptional customer service.

For lunch we shared the homemade chips with blue cheese dip (our favorite!) and we split the Roasted Vegetable Salad with chicken.

We love coming to Lulu Cafe and we've been coming here for years. The food is always amazing and the service is impeccable. They also have a nice bar and a large dining space. We enjoy sitting at a table by the outside window, when it's available.“

“We really loved our experience at Highlands Cafe today. We’ve never had a bad experience or food, but today was particularly exceptional as it was the first time we brought our boys (2 years and 11 months). We had promised our 2 year old ice cream with breakfast as where we were originally going to go, they have malts. Much to our surprise they were closed, cue the toddler meltdown 🫠 Highlands cafe to save the day! No wait, they made a “special ice cream drink” right away for our 2 year old (chocolate milk with whip cream and sprinkles) and he could not have been more happy. The food was excellent to boot! “We had a lunch function at work with a total of 6 attending. Everything was great with the exception of the food quality. The food was great, I guess what I was envisioning wasn't reality. The meatballs just tasted like regular meatballs. The Baked Penne I ordered was very greasy. Grease was floating in it when it was brought to the table. One of my coworkers ordered the Steak Frites which turner out great. Overall, I would recommend going. But I would suggest the restaurant work on their lunch menu options and broaden them some.“

“We had my birthday brunch at Oak Barrel and it couldn't have gone any smoother! They saved the day after another well-known MKE restaurant completely ghosted us just 2-weeks before the date. Communication with Mackenzie and booking could not have gone any better. We had the entire upstairs area to ourselves plus we were able to order off the actual brunch menu (which I LOVE). Our bartender, Danny, was amazing, attentive and provided excellent service to our guests. There were several other staff members helping out (I didn't get their names unfortunately) who were all amazing. This was the first time at Oak Barrel for a lot of our friends and family and they said they would definitely be back. Excellent food, great venue & spectacular service - they really made my birthday special.“

“Solid place, and the only game in town after midnight. After a night of partying, we were starving at around 2:30AM. Thankfully, this place was open, and we arrived in our white-tie attire to enjoy chilli.

Hotdogs were fine, had the Chicago style with all the fixings, and tried some of the chilli. I wish I got that, but alas, it's a recipe for disaster.

Service was fine, not rude or anything like some have described here. They were certainly ready to go home, but who wouldn't be when a group of weirdos comes in a half hour before closing?

I am curious if the food tastes as good when sober, though.“
