Reservations open 30 days in advance, and you better believe I was poised like an Olympic athlete at 4:00 pm sharp when they dropped. The only slot left? 5:00 pm. The early bird special. Listen — we will dine at 4:37 pm if that’s what it takes. Book it. First of all, the vibe? Chef’s kiss. Mellow, classy, a little dark, lounge-y in that “you feel cooler just sitting there” kind of way. The velvety, cushy seating made me want to cancel all my plans and just live there indefinitely. And then… Carli enters the chat. Mad. Props. To. Carli. My boyfriend and I live in Madison and we both agreed we will absolutely be making the drive down just to eat here again. We came for our anniversary. We left planning our next visit. And Carli? I had an incredible experience at Ginza Japanese Restaurant, and this picture says it all. The sushi was not only beautifully presented but also unbelievably fresh — every bite tasted clean, vibrant, and full of flavor.

The service was impressively fast, yet never felt rushed. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always checking in to make sure everything was perfect without hovering. It’s rare to find a place that balances speed with genuine care, but Ginza nails it.

We also ordered the gyoza, and they were amazing — perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and absolutely delicious. A must-try appetizer!

The prices are very competitive compared to other sushi spots in the area, especially considering the quality. You’re getting top-tier freshness and amazing presentation without overpaying, which makes this place an easy favorite.

From the delicate mango-topped roll to the crunchy tempura and the spicy rolls packed with flavor, every single piece on the plate was outstanding.

“They have the best ramen that I have ever had. I don't eat pork, so it can be hard to find pork-free ramen that's flavorful. This bowl is so tasty on its own that you do not need to add any meat (or tofu) to it. I've ordered other things, but usually wish I had just stuck with the ramen cuz it's that good. Unless you can stand a lot of heat, go with the mild which is still pretty spicy. And I grew up eating Indian food, so heat is something I'm used to. The old Buffet area has been converted to a RuYi and Fire Pit combo to-go service or pick-up and dine-in this large area. While the long lines were worth the wait, you no longer have to stand around in the lobby.
