“We visited for the first time. It took quite a long time until the food came, but it was worth the wait!! The broasted chicken was hot, juicy, and deliciously breaded; the double cheeseburger was huge, cooked perfectly, and delicious; the perch, baked haddock, and breaded cod were hot, fresh, and tasty! They also only take cash, so be prepared. The server and bartenders were friendly.“
“Amazing food! The seating area is a little small, but the food is always delicious and well done. The pho is perfect, the crying tiger steak lives up to the name, the Asian wings are huge and tender. I've yet to have a dish I didn't love! Highly recommend, reasonable prices.“
“Always a great experience. The food is excellent. Pete and Terry are the best! They will always serve the person. If you get something that you do not like, they will gladly replace it with something you do.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available.“
“A truly wonderful "blast from the past"! The hands on, on premise making, of most of the offerings, makes this a rare gem find. The ice cream shop is almost entirely original from the early 1900's. The candies, ice cream, toppings...are what will keep you returning to living museum. All treats, no tricks:)“
“Everything about this place is top notch. I've paid more money in fancy restaurants for a lesser quality product. Service was phenomenal, food was delicious and it arrived extremely fast! We had a party of 9 and were out of there in less than an hour (with a full bar)! If you are in the area you'd be silly to go anywhere else!“
“Our first time at this restaurant. We were very impressed with our meals. My husband had liver and onions. He said it was sooo tender. I had a generous portion of mashed potatoes with meatloaf smothered in gravy. Yummy good! Our meals ended with dessert! He had butterscotch pudding and I had Tapioca. Next time we need to come for pie and coffee. No room for it this time.“
“This bar is a definite stop just for the decor which is all navy and mostly submarines! I loved it I spend a lot of time there just taking pictures and looking at the memorabilia! I did not eat here but the food looked okay to me from what I seen everyone seemed happy about the food!“
“Always good food and awesome service. Did order a bloody mary this time and that left a lot to be desired. Prices are still very reasonable and portions are good. Eaten here many times and can't say I've ever had a bad experience. They are kid friendly and parking is sufficient.“
“Stopped here for fish (based on reviews) and it did not disappoint! That was some of the best “Friday Night Wisco Fish” that we’ve had in a long time…and we travel a decent amount. As of today, this will be the new place to beat. What a pleasant surprise. The establishment was also fine, traditional sports bar vibes and the service was good as well.“
“i got the hot veggie wrap, chips and salsa, a late, and took a vegan muffin to go. veggie wrap was super good. veggies cooked perfectly not mushy etc, hearty without being greasy. could use a tad more seasoning. salsa was interesting, maybe a little too much vinegar. (base was pretty solid). but went really good on the burrito (i added it on). late was also super good and perfect temp. waitress was perfect, cute cafe atmosphere. very comfy. tried muffin in the car and was also pretty good(: not dry and nicely sweet. VEGAN FRIENDLY“
“Susie Kay's is an interesting delicious experience every time. Got the PB&J bacon burger. This is not my new favorite but it was amazing and weird in a good way. I'm so glad I tried it. Service was friendly and quick. Fries were super fresh crispy awesomeness. Twinkie explosion desert was the bomb.“
“Can’t tell you how many times I’ve driven by this joint without stopping in. I was told their burgers rivaled those of Late’s, my favorite place in town. They are close, very close. It’s just a happening place with a lively bar scene, with plenty of TV’s to watch your favorite team. I never checked out back, but it seemed to be a great place for an outdoor patio overlooking the river. I won’t drive by as often as I have.“
“A fun bar near the heart of Manitowoc. All the appetizers I've tried are great, and when the popcorn machine is running, it's some of the tastiest I've had. The fish fry on Fridays is a must-try, and I highly recommend the bluegill basket!“
“Drove from Oshkosh to eat here again. Food and drinks were great. But what we really enjoyed was meeting Jacqueline at the bar, who was able to describe and recommend the food and drinks that we had. I loved the Spicy Guava Margarita. Best lunch ever!“
“Service was prompt and friendly. Food was great! I had the firehouse Mushroom Swiss. I added fried onions and it came with fries. I must say it was fantastic. my son had the curds which were on point. Plus I had some tenders too. All were amazing. worth the stop for local business support.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid friendly options. they even have kid toys and a play area.“
“Food was creative, delicious, fresh, and very reasonably priced. Ponzu melt, tofu bites, and Korean tacos were all perfect! Great beer selection, menu, and music too!!Vegetarian options: There were several vegetarian appetizers and main dish options. Tofu bites were delightful.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Lots of families here, we played a family card game while we waited for our food. Burgers and fries were perfect for our kids.“
“I'd like to complain about the long wait to be seated but after telling us it was going to be 45 minutes to an hour I hopped in my time machine and they came over and sat us immediately! Was a little disappointed they didn't have their fish specials displayed but, I'm going to hell anyways so I orders a delicious juicy burger... I like the place for sure! Seeing as I'm new to the area I plan on visiting many more times!“
“Decided to go here for lunch because I happen to see the special on their Facebook page and it looked really good. And it did not disappoint, was delicious. I had the tenderloin sandwich with butterfly shrimp. I'm so glad we decided to go there for lunch and will definitely be back.“
“I’m here almost EVERY weekend. The service is always amazing. Tonight I had the corned beef and cabbage. It was absolutely delicious. The corned beef was so tender and the potatoes, cabbage, and veggies were seasoned very well! Always an excellent dinner “
“Think of American icons, baseball, mom, hot dogs, apple pie and the Friday night fish fry in Wisconsin. Going to the Eagles' Club is not just a dining adventure; but a participation of an iconic event. First of all the place is old school, kind of dark with stately wood trim and decor. First we walked into the bar on the first floor. No, the fish fries are in the basement, down the narrow, wooden stairway. We took the advice to get there before 1700 hrs. It gets real busy after that. There is a ritual to follow here. Belly up to the bar and have a couple of drinks before eating. Drinks were only three bucks apiece. Just before the fish fry starts you go into the restaurant area and get a number. By the time we caught on, we got number 20. That meant one more gin and tonic and some more conversation (my wife and I are pretty outgoing). Finally at our table a cheerful lass took our order. I ordered pan fried perch and my wife ordered spicy catfish. My perch was really good. Better than her catfish (one thing they do better in the south is catfish). The fries were copious and good, as was the cole slaw. The whole evening was an experience that is unique to this area. You have to try it to believe it.“
“My husband and I stopped by on our road trip to pick up a truck. The menu was full of options! Maybe if I picked something else, it would have been better. The food was kind of bland, and everything was separate prices. So the drink (purchase each can separately), the side was a separate price from the sandwich.. Honestly, the price of the food wasn't bad, though.I ordered the steak sandwich (which came plain, so I added cheese, sautéed onions, and sautéed mushrooms). It didn't taste like the meat was seasoned, and it was very chewy. The bun was too big for the meat. However, the bun was soft delicious.I ordered fried mushrooms. They were luke warm on the outside, and the mushrooms were cold on the inside.I ordered onion rings. They were doughy on the inside. My husband ordered a beer gut burger. He said that the sausage patty overpowered the taste of the burger, but it was ok.He ordered the loaded mashed potatoes. He said they needed salt and pepper but were delicious. And he ordered the curly fries. Other than getting the tiny pieces at the bottom of the bag, they were delicious! This place looks like it is probably a pretty fun place to go to on a weekend or during an event like karaoke night. I would definitely go back to try out some of their other dishes, like Blue Gill on Fish Friday or .50 wing night on Thursday nights. Just keep in mind those items are on specific nights ONLY!They also sell farm fresh chicken and duck eggs as well as local raw honey! (I bought a quart of that..love me some honey!)The parking is a little tricky here.. I couldn't quite figure out where I was supposed to park.. But it looks like there are 3 areas. One of those areas does pull through. So as long as cars aren't parked there an RV or semi could pull in and park.“
