“We absolutely love eating at Donny's Glidden Lodge! The food is consistently fantastic, and the ambiance is beautiful. We make it a point to come here once or twice every summer when we're visiting Door County.
They do accept reservations, which I highly recommend, and every meal we've had has been delicious. One thing to note is that they typically have you wait in the bar area even if your table appears to be ready.
The only thing we miss is the salad bar. It was one of our favorite parts of dining here before it was removed during COVID, and we'd love to see it make a comeback. Bring back the salad bar!
Overall, this is one of our favorite Door County restaurants, and we'll definitely keep coming back.“

“Didn’t expect to find this spot, but our family went every night on our trip to door county!! The service was top notch, food was delicious, and atmosphere was hard to beat. Wait time was long but well worth it. The cheese curds are a must order, the Guinness was ice cold, and any cherry drink served is perfect!!!! Must try if you are in sturgeon bay.“

“I love Sunrise Food & Drinks! It needs a sign that says Mexican Food though! "Sunrise" doesn't get that across. Their Mexican food is incredible. Everything is great, but wow, what a treat to get a super Mexican breakfast in Sturgeon Bay.💛“

We told ourselves we didn’t need to stop. We were wrong.
The butter burgers? Flawless. The cheese curds? Crispy little gifts from Wisconsin heaven. The concrete mixer? So thick it could patch potholes on Highway 42. And somehow the staff is always cheerful, efficient, and moving like they’re training for the Dairy Olympics.
It’s the perfect “one last taste of chain food” before you fully commit to supper clubs and cherry everything. Honestly, it’s not just a stop — it’s a strategic refueling station. 10/10, would absolutely plan my bladder schedule around it again. 🚗🍦“

“I took myself a little me vacation and stayed here for two nights I'm very simple person and it was awesome stay I enjoyed myself very much enjoyed some good food at the bar and enjoyed going to Potawatomi state park for hiking the weather was beautiful and I was able to sit on the lawn chairs by the water thank you so much and I will see you in July“

“We stopped here on Saturday after spending the day in the upper peninsula with our family. The staff was extremely friendly, and the food was phenomenal!!!! The burgers were the best ever!!!! This will be our new destination stop for food when we visit Door county!!!“
