“Rations Cafe simply roasts the tastiest coffee in America. I visited Rations Cafe in summer 2019 and was blown away, not just by the coffee, but also by the friendly service and delicious food. I don't see myself as a coffee connoisseur, but their coffee is complex and perfectly roasted. Some coffee might say that it should be a dark roast. But should it? Rations finds the perfect roast for each bean. I enjoy Rations' coffee so much that I ordered some online to help get me through the COVID quarantine (though I would suggest adding a less expensive shipping option, if possible). My favorite is the P-40 Warhawk, a Honduran medium roast. I can't wait to return to Harpers Ferry and visit Rations Cafe in person.“

“We go hiking in Harper’s Ferry about ten times a year, and we always end our hikes with a late lunch at Cannonball Deli. That lunch is almost as much of a draw as the hike itself. The restaurant is modest and simple, with basic seating indoors or outside on the back patio. But the food is delicious and inexpensive, and the staff are cheerful and friendly. I love their falafel wraps, served hot and packed with tasty falafel, veggies, feta, and tzatziki sauce; my husband loves their lamb gyros sandwiches. The sandwiches are accompanied by fresh Greek-style small salads and potato chips. The portions are generous, and we are always happy with our meal. Highly recommended!“

“We live a few miles away and we've enjoyed several French restaurants in this building for almost two decades. The current owners have truly outdone all the prior owners. This is not the first time we've been here under current management, but last night was the best experience ever!My husband and I enjoyed (a split portion of) the soup of the day, chicken soup with lots of vegetables, followed by the Norwegian salmon. Every component was beautifully cooked - my husband's medium and my medium-rare were perfect with skin so crunchy my husband didn't even remove it; the asparagus was cooked al dente as it should be, the mashed potatoes were tasty, and the ravigote sauce provided the perfect acidic counterpoint. Last but not least, our espresso martinis were great - perfect choice of cinnamon variety and amount.Our server, Taylor, was personable and professional, and made sure that food and drinks were served promptly and as ordered.As someone with a gluten intolerance, I was grateful that Taylor gave me choices and placed the GF bread order early enough that it arrived together with the regular bread. For the first time ever in this restaurant, my husband and I were able to share the three different kinds of butters without my having to beg him to save some for me! (Note: he rarely eats butter.) “I can’t speak to the Vineyard yet, but Joan (the owner) is a wonderful person. My friends and I were tubing Antietam Creek yesterday and ended up having to cut our route short due to low current and the sun setting. Joan spotted us getting out of the creek and gave us a ride in her truck back to our car. She saved us 6+ miles of walking through the night with wet clothes and tubes. We are so grateful for her generosity and can’t wait to repay her by visiting her Vineyard! We’re planning on buying a bottle for every mile we would have walked. Thanks again Joan!“

“Went in during the week and had a wonderful experience. We did a tasting and enjoyed all 4 wines very much. Each was unique and described perfectly. Since it was a week day we were allowed to bring in food, although the food they have to offer on the weekends looks great! They have a nice display of chocolates from Conche in Leesburg. There is plenty of space inside and out but we chose the seats by the indoor fireplace and it was perfect!“

“I don’t make a habit of reviewing breweries because people experience them differently, but felt compelled with this one. Harvest Gap Brewery has consistently good beer on tap - recommend Heavy D for the sour lovers and the toasted lager for the stout lovers (not an IPA drinker, so can’t provide a recommendation there). Also, don’t be fooled by the seemingly small gathering space when you first walk through the front door - there is a large beer hall just past the bar & bathrooms, with an additional overflow gathering space just past that. The outdoor space is expansive, offering fire pits, picnic tables, and plenty of running around space for kids. Lastly, the mountain views, especially in the early evening, are gorgeous! Highly recommend this great LC brewery!“

“I stumbled upon their truck in Martinsburg at the Weis on Queen Street and I was so happy I did. The ice cream was phenomenal (try the dulce de leche) and they were so nice as well. Their daughter is adorable and we will definitely be visiting the shop in the near future.“

“I loved this vineyard. The service was amazing. The manager was so sweet. The ambiance is cute. I also actually really enjoyed the wine flights. At first glance I thought the truffle flight was expensive for a small box of chocolate BUT I really enjoyed the chocolate and the wine so I would recommend. I also tried the sweet flight which was equally as good for a great price.“

“Yesterday was my first time at this brewery and I must say the vibes were on point. Most breweries I don’t feel welcome but old 690 staff and customers were very welcoming. I enjoy meeting with the customers and their families.The food was delicious and cooked to perfection.They great live music, the beers are top notch. Their merch is fire and a must buy….. period!!!! They also have an open field and play area for the kids to play and run around. You will NOT be disappointed coming to this brewery. My bartender had nothing but good vibes, just down to earth. “if you're visiting the historic town of Brunswick, then the Potomac Street Grill should be on your list. They have a robust menu that will suit anyone from vegetarians to carnivores. They have a great bar and friendly staff. If I'm ever visiting again, I will surely return.“
