“We have been here several times. The staff were very friendly and efficient, and the service has been excellent. The food is delectable, tasty, and nicely presented with just the right balance of spices and heat. We just couldn't stop nibbling on the garlic naan bread and tamarind sauce. “My wife and I had our wedding reception at The Lake House and it truly was beautiful! The scenery and the elegance of the restaurant itself are incomparable for a wedding venue. From there we go to the food. The food was absolutely delicious and all of of our guests praised the restaurant for the amazing options they were presented along with how absolutely tasty every single bite was. From the appetizers, to the main course, to the dessert and the late night snack, every single bite was spectacular. As we continue on the accommodating and excellence of service go beyond compare. Every step of the way the team at The Lake House catered to what our wants were and offered great advice and options to make sure we landed on the right decision. When spending so much money on everything to do with a wedding it can add up and you want to make sure the value is there and that you’re not over spending on one thing vs. another. They made sure that as costs added up for us elsewhere we really saw the value while still getting an elite, exceptional, beyond compare venue that just took care of nearly everything. My wife and I live busy lives and had a baby shortly after our wedding and have repeatedly told each other since the wedding we truly owe it to the restaurant to make sure we sit down, take time and praise how truly happy we were with our experience in a review so that everyone knows and we can hopefully give them some extra business and help others have as spectacular an experience as us. Since our time there many of our guests have shared how much they loved the experience there and said that they could not think of a better place to have a wedding venue. We do live out of town so we do t get to go back as often as we’d like but our anniversary is just around the corner and we’re very excited to go back to The Lake House to enjoy this day as well. Every time I come here, I’m greeted with warm smiles and genuine kindness from the staff, and their service always makes me feel welcome. The food is absolutely amazing. Everything from the burgers to the sides is cooked perfectly and full of flavour. I got a Mushroom Swiss Burger, and you can really taste the quality and care in every bite. The place itself has such a great vibe, clean, cozy, and perfect for grabbing a meal with friends or family. It’s a place that combines great food, great service, and sincerity all in one. “Wish I could give this place more than 5 stars! I rarely eat out because, with Celiacs, I usually can only find a few things I can eat and have to pay extra for GF substitutes, or I need to eat at some pretentious hippy place that only serves quinoa and avocados (no offense to those who enjoy such things). It is so nice to be able to go to a classic diner with gluten free everything with no extra charges! Even the waffles and perogies are gluten free and oh-so-good! There was only one item on the menu that I could eat! If you know the Celiac struggle, you know why this place made me so happy.“

“Dairy Lane is an elevated cafe that does not disappoint on flavour and hospitality.

We quickly were led to a table inside, where after a short perusal of the breakfast menu we ordered.

I had the Mushroom Benny, with a side of chicken sausage. As you can see from the photo is was very well presented, and it also tasted great. The only difficulty I had was the knife I was given would not cut the English Muffin the Benny was severed on (I don't know if it was the knife or the Muffin, but the knife made quick work of the sausage so I'm leaning towards the Muffin) so it was way messier to eat than it had to be.

“Was gifted 2 dozen mini cupcakes from here as a gift for a birthday. Oh my, it was delicious.

They were meant to be shared, and I regret it greatly. The cupcakes were TOO delicious, especially the buttercream. It's not too sweet and the buttercream is SO smooth. I would highly recommend the cookies and cream, they were amazing.

Quite frankly it was a mistake for them to be gifted to me, and even greater mistake to share them. I am going to be placing an order just for myself.

Patience for the students learning is required when visiting The Highwood as not every visit will be top notch but I did appreciate the effort the student server put in. The temporary location poses some challenges as we were guided to the dining room, it is clear the entire building is under renovation but having the nice lady down in the hallway on the main floor greeting you was a nice service touch. Cant wait to see the original location re open again.“

“Every time I visit TD core , one of my must-do stops is New York Fries. The poutine is top-tier: rich, flavorful, and always consistent. The fries are crispy, the gravy is savory and satisfying, and the cheese curds are delicious.
