“It’s always the small things that make a big difference! Big shoutout to Kirill for his attention to detail at the drive-thru window during the night shift. We all know it’s standard procedure to receive drinks first while waiting for fresh, hot food, but they never hand you a straw so you can actually drink it while you wait.

Kirill, you’re exceptional at your job—Westhills is lucky to have you. This should be a no-brainer, yet I can’t remember the last time someone had the forethought, care, and attention to provide straws with the drinks (it’s been years). I also can’t remember the last time I was able to enjoy a sip of my drink while waiting for my food— until now. Hats off to you. Your professionalism and customer service were top-tier, and the food was incredibly fresh and delicious.

I’ll definitely be returning to the Westhills (100 Stewart Green SW, Calgary) location. It’s been years since I’ve experienced customer service this good from this franchise.“

“Just like every other macdonalds you go to. Haven't had any mistakes with my food so far. Only problem I have is, the spot they are in. It is always extremely difficult to get any internet signal to use my app. I've probably been there a dozen times but have only been able to use my app 3 times. The rest of the visits, it never loads“

While waiting for my order I saw the floor manager staring at his phone, it took him 20 minutes to take payment for my order and 35 minutes to get my order that was cold. High-quality food, a spacious and comfortable atmosphere, and friendly staff.

The burger buns are so warm and soft, and the pies are absolutely amazing!

Parking: It can accommodate parking for over 20 vehicles.“

“We came for breakfast. The atmosphere is relaxing. We ordered our food through the self-help machines. The waiting time was reasonable. We had a much better experience than before. Would surely come back again.

Parking: Disable parking space is available.

Kid-friendliness: High chairs are available.“

“This is one of the nicer McDonald's in the city. Everything is kept pretty clean. I enjoy the table service that they offer. Everyone here is friendly and helpful. It's worth the drive to come to this location over other ones in the city.

“This McDonald's the staff is either too busy or purposely trying to avoid noticing that they have customers at the till needing service and want to order. I have waited up to 15 minutes or more before being helped and have my order taken. The food is generally pretty good from this location tho.“

“After ordering on the app, I proceeded to the drive-thru windows to pick it up. The app had not updated to provide an order identifier. Jas was very helpful in locating our breakfast order, and when he brought out our breakfast, he showed us how to refresh and update the app. Thank you for nurturing his service. “Gelene, you a real one! <3 I wish for all great things to come your way. I had a really bad night, and wanted to order in. I got on a delivery service, waited for my food, the time went from 7 minutes to suddenly showing delivered. There was nothing at my door step. I reached out to the customer support chat on this certain delivery service, and their customer service was so disappointing and not helpful at all. I’ll never know what happened to my order. But I do know that whatever happened tonight, Gelene (and her coworker) from this McDonald’s location, made my whole month. I really appreciate what they did for me, Thank you!“

“We’ve been hanging out in this McDs for an hour or so (entertaining the little one with a happy meal!). Joriel - the young worker who asked if we were enjoying “Family Day” (colouring activities for kids which was a nice treat) has literally not stopped working since we arrived. “Everytime I go the ketchup dispenser is out. With 3 kids this is a big deal for them. Food was good, but they should keep a close eye on the fryer oil. No one likes the brown old oil Nuggets, they want those Krispy golden dunkers. I'll return again amd hopefully those little things will be better the next time.

Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly, but I will always miss the late 80's and the 90's play area and fun train tables or fun tables with the mcdonalds characters. Mcdonalds has stream lined so much that they forget their young customers, love fun an color.“

“We are here for breakfast. We were asking our son if he wanted to try new Mac pops and the manager heard it. He gave us 3 different Mac pops just to try. Said it was for our son from his side. It’s not about the free stuff but the gesture. He got up from his table where he was working and asked the cashier to pack for us.

“This might just be the best McDonald’s in Calgary!

The service was excellent — the team here is truly professional. I ordered a cappuccino, but for some reason it came out cold. I politely asked if they could make a hot one, and the manager kindly smiled and made me a fresh, hot cappuccino without any hassle or attitude.

Honestly, I’m pretty tired of encountering rude or unmotivated staff at many McDonald’s locations around Calgary, but this one is a total exception. 10 out of 10!“

“The last few times I have visited here it seems the main emphasis is on the drive thru. It dies take longer in store than with the drive thru. The food is standard McDonald's and the store has been renovated but at times looks unkempt.“

Crossiron branch screwed up my order previously and I tried to contact via McDonald's website and never received any help or follow up. I went in this location to find out more information and lucky to have met this manager on site. He was showing sympathy and understanding to the situation, and he was willing to cover for crossiron's franchise's mistake even when it's none of this location's fault. “The Forest Lawn retail/fast food landscape is a challenging environment in which to work at the best of times. Working the night shift at one of only four businesses open all night in 'da hood' must at times be a complete nightmare.
The weekday overnight front of house staffer working drive-thru is wonderful. This lovely Kababayan always discharges her duties pleasantly and competently. Kudos to you my dear!

If you're looking for some fast food in the area, this will definitely be a restaurant you will want to know about.

Parking: Fairly large parking lot surrounds the building. It can get quite busy, though.“

“I can happily say that this Mcdonalds has made a complete turnaround since I last lived in this area a few years ago. So far, so good, so I happily changed my review from a one-star to a 4 star after 3 or 4 different weeks of separate times of getting very good quality consistent food. I hope they can keep it up because the 4 stars is purely on good quality as they still have some issues inside with cleanliness, and service can be very brusque in drive-through. “I just got back from vacation, and my kiddos wanted something quick to eat, so we stopped by at this McDonald's. We were greeted by the sweetest drive-thru attendant, who gave me and my kids a lovely, welcoming energy. We ordered, and she even went as far as recommending food to my kids since we don't eat out often. I was very satisfied with my food and the entire process. I didn't catch a name, but she's this sweet young black girl who wears a headscarf. I will be coming back again, and I hope that the service was just as good as the last time.“

“I was a little disappointed in the wait time the first time I went it was awful. I went back again and you have to wait longer than usual just for them to take your order. But this time it wasn't as busy to get my food. I did notice some consistency in that the people are genuinely polite & friendly and the food was well prepared both times that I have been there. It seems like they take longer to actually prepare the food the way it was meant to be, which in all honesty is severely lacking at most McDonald's locations I have been too.

“Easily the most friendly staff of any McDonald’s. They’re always really nice when you order, and oftentimes when I’m eating someone walks around asking people if everything is OK and even offering coffee. They have always been super friendly in this location, that’s why I always come to this one.“

“Went to this McDonald’s while passing through town. The girl at the counter was very friendly and welcomed us with a smile. She even wished us, which you usually don’t get at other places. The food came quick. Thank you Parvathi for your service!! Management should hire more people like her.“

“I had an early appointment at Cloudbreak (the opthalmology clinic) and needed a snack beforehand, so I decided to check out this McDonald's. The experience was actually pretty good, especially since they were SLAMMED with something like 20 construction workers almost all ordering coffee. Now, there was a problem, potentially a huge one: I order a "chicken mcmuffin" and was served a sausage one. I'm not Muslim, just wanted to try the chicken one, and though the sausage one was delicious- the best thing I've got from McDonald's in, well, years- it was in fact a pork sausage patty and this can be a disaster for a person who doesn't eat pork for religious reasons. Please be careful about this.“

“The Filipino gentlemen with a tattoo on right arm sleeve deserves a promotion. Has impeccable customer service in high stress environment. Cleaning tables and super kind to the customers (he was so polite with a senior) and should be a manager.“

“We consistently come to this location for years now when we shop at Walmart or in the mall, all the staff and management here is super friendly and go above and beyond. My family has never had a bad experience here and most days the food is super fresh and we can find a clean spot to chow down mid shop and/or grab a coffee on the way out too. We love mcdonalds and this is our fave local one for sure. Everyone who works here always make us feel welcome here even on days they are short staffed and busy busy. We always pop in when we can because it's my sons fave thing when we are in the area.

The drive through was quick and only messed up one item from the order. May this is common here, check out other reviews and maybe you'll know what to expect. “The girl who served me was on the ball. I could see she was concerned about my wait time, but it was normal. Sometimes things just seem longer when there is a customer right there waiting. But you were all good. She gave me some coupons, food was good. Still can't stand the soggy straws but that's no fault of theirs.“

“Ordering through the app is the way to go, because sometimes the self-serve kiosk have problems with either the printer or the interact machine.

It also saves you time lining up for both self-serve kiosk and cashier if you use the app.

I used to wait about 5-15 minutes for my order, and using the app eliminates half the waiting time / just 2 minutes wait.

Service is good. They seem to get flooded by online orders and that really slows down the service.

As for Atmosphere… it’s located on Stephen Avenue. One day, it’s a cozy McDonalds, and the next day, lots of drunk or weird people loitering around and in the McDonalds. I always do take-out so I can eat at my workplace, or the mall’s seating area nearby.

The staff can only do so much, and once in a while, Police patrol the site and that is really helpful in ensuring safety and atmosphere.“

“After finishing my construction work in Lewiston, I looked for. Nearby McDonald to try the new big arch. This place had 1.9 rating, you can’t screw up a big arch, right?

So I ordered. The service was friendly; on questioning something on price I got a free drink, though I did not drink it.
