“Spring break week, terribly busy at prime time brunch time, but we got seated quickly despite the crowd, great service, delicious food, and super value. Do yourself a favor and eat here; this from people who have visited all 50 states (AK was the last!) and have tried breakfast pretty much everywhere.“
“Atmosphere is like a good ‘ol American diner with a trucker vibe to it. Very friendly staff, and great meals. The Boo-boo burger was delicious with its jalapeños, mushrooms, teriyaki sauce, and everything else that comes with a usual burger. They also sell merchandise as well. Would recommend!“
“Very good bar food - the waffle fries were crispy and hot. I had their steak tips and they were beyond amazing - it's in the appetizer menu but I ended up taking leftovers back to the hotel because it's a good portion of food.My friend got the Pepper Jam burger and polished off the whole thing only stopping to tell us it was good.Nice, warm spot to get a meal on a -40F day! ?“
“Dined in , staff are amazing and refill your drinks as fast as you drink, favorite food is even the kids meals filling if you are not that hungry , they make amazing soup daily …portions are large , expect left over fir next day! A few Wait staff have been there for several years !“
“What a gem! We were so excited to go back to Fairbanks and see the northern lights but a close second was going to mom’s again. We went three times during our 5 day stay this time and it never disappoints. All of the Asian selections are amazing, as are the burgers. I love the jalapeño poppers too, best I have ever had. It is inside a little sports bar but don’t let that fool you. This is some of the best food you will have, in any city. By the way mom’s staff… you should really consider selling that homemade soy sauce. Sooooooo amazing. God bless you guys and thank you.“
“Perfect stop for us as we transitioned from traveling to the start of our stay in Fairbanks.I had a French dip sandwich with a really good green salad. I regretted not ordering a bigger salad and just skipping the heavy sandwich. My husband had a burger and very average fries (frozen, not fresh potatoes). The burger was good and hefty. The service was fine--it wasn't busy, and our food came out quickly. The atmosphere was average bar interior design--nothing stood out as exceptional or as glaring. I doubt we will return when in the area but our lunch was pleasant.“
“OMG! How did it take us so long to finally go here? This is the best cocktail bar in FBX for sure! They actually know how to make a proper sazarac ? and the bites are delicious! Larry and Robert were the best. And yes those books on the shelf are “
“The very last stop for a good while & the last stop if you are heading further north to see the Aurora Borealis. Not as big as the stores back home, but everyone is friendly & the pies are famous. A cashier asked me where I was from cause I sounded different from most up there. Turns out she was from Pass Christian, MS & tan into another Mississippian way up here!“
“Ivory jacks is our go to, even though it's a short drive from town by car, and a beautiful ride by snogo. The service is quick, the wait times are short, the drinks are always flowing, the snow machines trails are great on the way! Thank you ivory jacks for being consistent ??“
“Ate dinner at Mom's Kitchen which is inside Tony's. Grabbed a few drinks at the bar. Everyone was awesome, even the regulars. We didn't feel like the outsiders we were, lol. Will definitely go back if we make our way up there again!“
“This place is above and beyond!!! The green burger is the ultimate burger expirence!! And the staff are friendly and not overwhelming!!!I would definitely go again..did I mention the prices are unbeatable for the quality of food and service .this is by far the best resteraunt I've been to in fairbanksKid-friendliness: They have a kids menu and it is nice to know I can take my daughter to a more upscale resteraunt for a decent meal!“
“The waitresses were great, funny and on the ball, the steaks were perfectly seasoned and cooked, but the chef Ky spoiled us with the amazing cheesecake that he decorated with strawberries even though it wasn't on the list. We will for sure be back!!!“
“Wow. This restaurant is amazing. Such delicious food, each meal incredible with layers of flavor and thoughtfulness. The chef cooks with so much love and it shows. He truly has a gift with soup, and for making the Alaskan ingredients stars on each plate. We stayed at Borealis Basecamp for three nights and the food at Latitude 65 was an absolute highlight. Scallops with candied mustard seeds and pickled grapes, Alaskan halibut with a morel cream sauces from mushrooms the chef harvested himself, short ribs wow, and a really really good burger. Every dish we had was so special. And all with a spectacular view and wonderful service. Really grateful I got the chance to enjoy this.“
“Salty is one of the most well-known dinner spots in Fairbanks, Alaska, and after trying their breakfast, it's easy to see why!The chicken waffles were a highlight – fluffy waffles perfectly paired with crispy chicken strips. A delightful combination! And of course there are many more dishes which are recommended on the menu you can try on.The coffee served here is exceptional – honestly, some of the best we've had during our time dining out in Alaska. A real treat for coffee lovers! In terms of service, it wasn't too bad. It may just be reflective of the local culture, maybe a little smile and a little more warm and welcoming will be awesome, especially on morning. But overall, it contributed to a pleasant breakfast experience. If you're in Fairbanks and craving a delicious breakfast, Salty is definitely worth a visit! ?☕“
“What a fun and delicious experience! Nothing fancy but very comfortable environment with super-friendly staff. Had to have their Alaskan Cheesesteak and wow, how good was that! But the onion rings were exceptional - best I've ever had! Made me propose to the cook!!“
“I went to check out this place because it had a great reviews. This place is right over the river. It gives you a nice view of the river. We went during the winter so the river was frozen. The place was little pricey but I guess this is Alaska. We got fish and chips and soup. Nice food. I would suggest to go for the ambience and river.“
“Great buffet breakfast, plenty of choices. Reindeer sausage is on the menu, really tasty. They seat you. Located inside the Westmark hotel. We had super good service. The waitress(SHOUT OUT) was very informative, a wealth of info. She was glad to see us when said we were from Maryland. She was born in Maryland.“
“This review is purely on the Bar/Lounge side, not the restaurant side. Visited on a Saturday evening, most visitors I would assume are hotel guests most of whom are labor hands driving to/from the north, so that gives you an idea of the crowd. This is probably the better lounges in town, open and plenty of seating. The bar is tiny but packs a punch. It may not have have a big barside but they can make just about any cocktail you want... thus, no physical menu. That's may bit annoying for someone who isn't a usual drinker and needs a list to choose from. Also, had no clue how they charge for drinks. Food was surprisingly good, not sure why I had low expectations. The food came out at a reasonable rate. We had pulled pork nachos, foccacia bread and calamari. All were great. Service was relatively good. We weren't waited on very much, I'm guessing just typical evening traffic and chaos, but the ladies who did serve were very friendly and nice.Get the peanut butter pie. You won't regret it.“
“*Edit*Back again in 2023 and Steve is the best bartender/server! We’re going to miss you! Thanks for the laughs and stiff drinks!2021 - We stayed at the Westmark for a over a week and had lunch and dinner at the Red Lantern many times. Our favorites were the Ribeye, prime rib sandwich, fettuccine, burgers, and dinner salads. The bartenders and servers were friendly and well versed in menu items. Would definitely recommend.“
“After all the pricey restaurants in the area, meaning Alaska, we just more normal pricing and food. Took a chance on this restaurant and the food was great, the prices probably 30% less than fancy restaurants. Would highly recommend this one!“
“The food was really good and the atmosphere is pretty much always the same, people enjoying tasty food ? just 4 stars In service because they are short of servers that is the only reason that you have to make signs to get more coffee sometimes ?Vegetarian options: The veggie burger with fresh avocado makes the waiting absolutely worthy ? ??“
“The restaurant is a part of Springhill Suites Hotel. I was thrilled by a vast number of menu choices.Halibut fish and chips is good choice. They cut in small pieces. Many good desserts, too.and as usual in Alaska, dishes are in huge portion“
“During my visit, I had the privilege of witnessing an extraordinary act of kindness that restored my faith in humanity. As I enjoyed my meal, a stranger approached our table and informed us that our entire bill had been paid for by a generous individual who wished to remain anonymous. This random act of kindness not only left me speechless but also reminded me of the inherent goodness that exists in the world. As I left the restaurant with a full stomach and a heart overflowing with gratitude, I couldn't help but reflect on the power of simple acts of kindness to brighten someone's day. In a world that can often feel cold and indifferent, this breakfast spot serves as a shining example of the warmth and compassion that still exists within our communities. Whether you're craving a delicious meal or a dose of positivity, a visit to this restaurant is sure to leave you feeling nourished in more ways than one.“
“When we are shopping in Fairbanks, this is usually our family's go-to restaurant. I have tried almost everything on their menu, and I can honestly say everything I've tried has been good. The service has also been good as well. If you haven't tried their Cuban sandwich, you're missing out. Great Job Food Factory.“
“Super cute place. I had the Union Chez Burger with fries. The fried leeks on the burger were a great touch. The reviews are right, get the ketchup and the ranch! There were so many delicious looking desserts that it was hard to choose. We ended up going with the strawberry cream cheese roll. It was angel food cake rolled up with cream cheese and strawberries and topped with either turbinado or cane sugar. So good! The food came up very fast after placing our order.“
