“Awesome, I been kinda down so we decided BBQ, my daughter brought me up here. I really enjoyed my food, the server was great! The screw on my glasses fell out an he offered to fix them , so I could read the menu, very nice an polite young man! Food was great, I suggest the 💚 greens!“

“Visit more for breakfast than lunch. Absolutely the best sausage egg & cheese sandwich in BHM. Note it states sandwich. Served with a hamburger bun. Will have a wait when you order whether you choose to wait inside or take drive-in. Either way you will not be disappointed.“

After ordering my kiddo’s chicken fingers, I asked for the potato only to be told they had run out of them for the night. 😞 when I pulled up to pick up our food,  the chef (Matt) had found out that I had really wanted a potato and so he gave me one for free. That makes potato might’ve been part of his employee meal he was taking home. I don’t know but that gentleman made my night.  by the way, the potato is very good, but the service was even better!“

“I hadn't been here in years because of a custimer service issue. We tried it again and the food was great. The ribs were cooked and flavored to perfection, so was the chicken. The sides were tasty as well. There are several big name rib joints here in Birmingham that i find average at best. In My opinion they have the best Barbeque in Town!“

“If you like down to earth BBQ in a bar like setting this is the place to try probably. Atmosphere is not much but if you want a quick BBQ for lunch it is worth the try. I have been here a few times and stick with the BBQ Beef Tips and Chips, they make their own chips by the way, and the tips are a good portion and all meat. I personally skip the bread as it is just a couple slices of regular white loaf bread, nothing spectacular but if you like to dip your bread into the BBQ side sauce I guess it works for the locals. Not my thing. I have had the Brisket sandwich but still personally prefer the Tips and Chips basket. Give it a try and make your own decision you probably won't regret it for lunch. Servers have always been very friendly and accommodating so that is a plus!!“

KJ and Travis are really the only 2 Black Own Food Businesses that keep me coming back. It's not just about the food it's also about the spirit of the cooks and customer service!!!! I'm tryna diet but I'm craving that shrimp and okra right now oh and catfish and ribs and baked beans!!!!!! ?? I will truly order it all. KJ gone head and do a menu item and call it A Little Bit for this and that for $25 or $30 shrimp, chicken and fish or shrimp, chicken and a few bones ? I come in there being greedy sometimes. It be hard to choose that why I take forever ?.“
