“This was our first visit to Jubilee Joe's, but it won't be our last. The food we ordered was amazing. The Etouffè was the best I have ever eaten, wonderful flavor and a nice kick of heat. “Masa is our absolute FAVORITE place to eat! Our kids LOVE it and the owners treat us like family with warm smiles and big hugs when we come! The food is always excellent with a HUGE sushi menu, we still haven’t tried it all yet but we have loved everything we have tried! Our 6 year olds ask for it all the time! “So I visited Carters Hooka bar & Grill for the first time. I had seen so many good reviews on another site so I decided to give it a try. To say I was underwhelmed wouldn't suffice. The atmosphere was nice, chill little vibe. Good music, good vibes, bad food & Drinks were disgusting. We ordered shrimp & grits, steak & shrimp, 2 blue MF (drinks) & Cajun ranch cheese fries. The grits were under cooked, no seasoning, and tasted like water. We added salt and that didn't help at all. The sausage was burnt and it was a little too done. The shrimp was seasoned but it didn't balance the grits. The steak and shrimp tasted like each other. They didn't have a distinct flavor, it's like they cooked it together. The steak was waaayyy overcooked and the heat wasn't hot enough because the steak didn't have a char on the outside. It was spicy along with the shrimp. It did come with 2 potatoes covered in cheese and a side salad that was mostly tomatoes & cucumbers minimal lettuce. The drinks were not good but not bad. Too much alcohol, the end that's all. I would come back but definitely not for the food.“

I don’t understand why you can’t sub the sausage for something as simple as an egg or potato. I can’t consume pork. Either offer an alternative sausage meat or a substitute. Bar was also subpar and not many options to choose from.

I bought a family-pack of fish for guests that I did not know were coming over. I needed a quick solution. The guests loved the food so much, one of them called me weeks later wanting info on the restaurant because she started craving the food.

“We are staying across the street at Best Western. We are in town for Alabama Football.
We walked across the street to try it.
The shrimp was terrific, Calamari was terrific. Huge portions, I could not eat it all.

I’d recommend this place and will be back for next time I’m in town for Roll Tide Football.“

“Just know that you have to be ready to start ordering before you even get to the steam table. They will point at you and ask what meat you want. Be prepared to decide quickly as you go down the line. DO NOT BE ON YOUR PHONE! I know this sounds harsh but this is how they are able get a lot of people fed. I wish I remembered our servers name, she was quick and very kind (she had on a David Yurman cross pendant, young and light brown hair). I do recommend making a reservation if you’re going on a Friday/Saturday night. As we were leaving, we heard the hostess say it would be a 3 hour wait for the party that just arrived. Will be back!“

“Went to 2 different locations before visiting Prive/Palace. You get entry to the restaurant for free and the club in back for $10. Security will check you before entering and parking spaces were nice.

The bartender was very nice and the people eating were also very nice. We ate wings, fries, catfish nuggets and had some drinks in between visits to the back club“

“Excellent food! The chicken strips is what everybody seemed to be after. I had grouper and fries and coleslaw and my wife had 10 shrimp along with fries and coleslaw. Hush puppies were actually very very good. Was not expecting that out of this place. Just a small restaurant looks like maybe it was an old Hardee’s restaurant.“

“We weren’t quite sure what to expect, especially since there isn’t an updated menu available online—but that only made the experience more exciting. We were pleasantly surprised to discover Chef Mark Addison, just 25 years old and incredibly talented.

We had the opportunity to sit at the chef’s table, where each dish was presented with thoughtful detail and genuine enthusiasm by Chef Mark. Drawing from his Italian and Irish heritage, he brings a unique perspective to his cooking. He even spent a month studying cuisine in northern Italy, where his grandmother is from—a connection that clearly influences his work.

As for the food: the beet and goat cheese salad with kumquats was fresh and beautifully balanced. The prawns and mussels were an absolute 10. The trout was fantastic—perfectly cooked with a crisp skin and a delicious, well-executed sauce. The lamb chops were, without question, the best I’ve ever had—sourced from Colorado, incredibly tender, and paired with a standout mint-pomegranate sauce.

It was also a pleasure to watch the young kitchen team in action. Their passion was evident—you could truly tell they love what they do.
