“I’m not a coffee drinker. But a local chef(shout out to Whitney Simone!) I follow and patronize raved about Rochelle’s grit bowl, so I decided to try breakfast here. I wished that it was advertised that breakfast was sold here because I always thought this place was just a coffee spot. Anyway, I was sooooo impressed with the cuteness of the decor inside. It felt very cozy and intimate. Soft music played in the background. I love the branding on the cups and other merchandise for purchase. Upon entering, my friend and I were greeted warmly. We placed our orders and found a place to sit. The seats were comfy and a bright red that matched the theme of it also being a lounge. There was a little free library where you could take home a free book. There were several small tvs available to watch. Our food came out after a short wait. Yall….my grit bowl was absolutely splendid! The grits were creamy and perfect- not too thick, not too thin. The meats were delicious as were the eggs. My friend enjoyed his pancakes but also wanted to try the grit bowl after hearing me rave about mine. After he devoured his, he agreed that it was just as good as I told him it was. My peach smoothie came in this cute little sealed cup with the branding on it. I love a business that doesn’t skip on the branding! I enjoyed my experience here 100% and I’m even thinking of returning tomorrow morning for breakfast! One thing I would improve: I hope the owners consider advertising that they sell breakfast as well. Folks like me that may not be coffee drinkers but who love breakfast will gladly patronize the business…if we know they sell more than coffee. Overall, this place earned my 5 stars.“

This is easily in the top 5 coffee shops I’ve ever visited. Tim is a barista’s barista, pleasant to talk to, knows his craft and ready to share his excitement about coffee. The espresso was delicious, smooth, fragrant, sweet, not overly acidic or bitter. The other drinks celebrate the coffee without distracting from it, something I don’t see nearly as often as I’d like.

The shop itself is a welcoming space, lots of natural light, comfortable environment. Great vibe all the way around.

Prices are absolutely fair considering the quality of service and product I received. I’m absolutely coming back ASAP.“

“This place is adorable and has a great atmosphere. It has amazing coffee drinks and the staff is always very friendly. I live in Nashville but visit family in the area once a month. Makers is ALWAYS my first stop for an iced latte or a frappe. The baristas take great care with everything they make. “Lively! I am not from Birmingham but I am a coffee lover. From Orlando but, I wanted to see something new for a change from the normal city life. Noticed there were allot of coffee shops here than in any city I’ve been to which made it hard to decide on which one I liked to visit more but something about the atmosphere caught my attention. It was quite which made it easier to work. The environment even though it was quiet it felt inviting. The glass made allot of natural light come in and I loved being able to enjoy a good view while working. I definitely would come again even if it’s to relax. Unfortunate I’m not from here. Anyone who enjoys coffee I highly recommend to come here.“

“It’s a neat concept but I think the staff may still be working out some operational issues that’s not their fault. We went during a busy time and it came across a bit chaotic.

The staff was friendly trying to navigate the crowd, but the music was very loud (not chill and relaxing as expected) the tables are super close together and you have to order at the counter then try to find a seat, and then they wait on you at the table anyways. I understand it’s supposed to be a lounge but it’s really coming off as more of a busy restaurant but that could just be the new buzz of it. We’ll give it another go hopefully when it’s less crowded.

The food was excellent and we enjoyed our cappuccinos, they’re traditional cappuccinos which we appreciate. It’s very pretty inside and has a nice outdoor patio. I do recommend giving it a shot but try to lookout for less busy times. We want to come back for the live music as well. I definitely see the vision and appreciate the space in bham!“

“Lee’s is a fantastic addition to the downtown coffee scene! Their menu offers a variety of options, but the classics are good too. I like that you can customize a latte with tons of flavor and add on options. their secret menu is worth checking out too! This will be added to my regular list of places to go and get some work done because they have plenty of space and are open late which I really appreciate!“

“In the mere month and some change Me Gusta has been open, they have saved me many times from quitting my job because I know I can always look forward to coffee and delicious pastries. I go almost every other day and they’re always friendly, they brew fresh real espresso for their drinks, and their pastries are made in house and fresh every day. “I recently had gastric sleeve surgery and have had a terrible time trying to find stuff to drink that is calorie free and no artificial sweeteners. A friend suggested that I try the tropical tea. I did and I was hooked!! Their customer service is amazing and when my order was put on back order, they were so friendly and did everything they could to get my order pushed through.“

Croissant Quality:
The croissants here are perfectly flaky, buttery, and freshly baked. The plain croissant had a crisp exterior with soft, airy layers inside, while the almond croissant (my free treat!) was rich, slightly sweet, and packed with crunchy almond goodness. Absolutely delicious!

“My first time to order a coffee at the "new" Starbucks inside the remodeled Target. Starbucks was moved over to what was once the small in-store snack/cafeteria and it also got a nice remodel,. I ordered a regular coffee and the server asked if I wanted a flavor with it so I asked for vanilla and the drink was great - I really liked it as I have found most "regular" coffees in Starbucks are too bitter for my taste and required me to add much cream. “Quiet,small,intimate setting. We were initially sat in the middle of dining room, close to lobby, but was told we could move if we didn't like the area. We did ask to move and it was no trouble at all to the staff. Hosted by James, and waited by Olivia, they couldn't have been more accommodating. We had the Valentines Day meal, filet and duck breast, and it was wonderful. Chimmichurri meatballs for a starter was the suprise of the meal! Afterwards we visited the rooftop bar for a awesome view! Will definitely be back. A++“

“the people work hard at Dunkin donuts and it's in a tough area to work being so close to a hospital..I think the manager is a really cool guy ..He shared with me what he studied about ancient Egypt so he's educated and he seems to take care of himself physically as well and always is neat in appearance...also I LOVE DONUTS and am something of consuer of bakeries and while some people may turn they're nose up at a Dunkin Donuts because of how they are manufactured...I say relax , were eating junk food anyway... if it taste good...it is good..
