“Came here with my fiancé this evening and was greeted by the owner. We got ice cold modelo on draft and shared a steak quesadilla! EVERYTHING was amazing! The salsa for the chips was great! The chips were HUGE and warm. So fresh! The quesadilla was big but a glorious portion. If you haven’t checked this place out yet, you really should!“

“The “vegan” tacos were absolutely incredible! Generously filled, excellent flavor and double tortillas. The mozzarella doesn’t seem vegan, though, so you may want to leave it off if you’re fully vegan. There are no tables or chairs. A place to sit would have been nice. But, the food was absolutely worth it and reasonably priced!!Vegetarian options: Awesome vegetarian tacos! They are labeled vegan, but the mozzarella did not seem vegan.“

“Love Little Donkey! Definitely a great happy hour spot! Friendly bar and waitstaff. Dinner service is a little expensive, but the atmosphere is definitely more upscale than your typical family-owned Tex Mex place.Dietary restrictions: Celiac: I've always had great experiences here. Waitstaff was accommodating and double checked with kitchen staff to guarantee that a specific dish was gluten free when asked.“

“This place is fantastic. The decor is tasteful and there is ample seating. Great authentic Mexican food as well as Tex-Mex and American cuisine. My go-to are the al-pastor street tacos. They are perfection and come with a side of chips. Their red and green salsas are great but my favorite is their hot sauce which you have to special request. It comes in a tiny container and is extremely spicy and delicious. Their queso and guacamole are also fantastic and come in 3 sizes depending on how hungry you are. They even had horchata and hibiscus tea (aka sorrel for Caribbean folks)! My friends have tried their burgers, fries, burritos, quesadillas, salads and apparently they are excellent. They often have long lines during lunch but they take your order and bring your food to your table extremely quickly. I cannot recommend this place enough. I have been a customer for many many years, since back in the day when their restaurant was less than half the size it is today. It is wonderful to see how they have grown and flourished while maintaining their exceptional standards.“

“Service was excellent. Great family place with fun decor. But the food was mediocre, and the margaritas were super weak. The mole chicken was just flavorless cooked chicken with mole sauce poured over just before serving. The fajitas had almost no vegetables, just meats. Lots of people like it, but it's not for me.“

“Nice place, atmosphere. Service was great they had good suggestions if you're not sure what to order. The guacamole was so good, they mix cilantro and maybe a couple of other things in it, delish! If you like spicy salsa, they have a green salsa that's great. It's not crazy spicy , just enough. The street corn is off the cob and comes as a side , the flavor was sooo good. Although it seemed overcooked which took away from the flavor of the corn .“

“We stopped in for lunch,while visiting Trussville, Alabama. The establishment was clean and quite tidy even with the high volume of customers. We did enjoyed a delicious meal. My hubby ordered the Fat boy burrito and I two tacos(cheezy beef and redneck) both are served with chips and salsa. We each enjoyed a refreshingly tasty margarita, a perfect compliment to the meal. The staff was friendly, polite, and attentive to customers. We much appreciated the delicious and relaxing lunch, after our travels.“

As of March 2024, it's situated near Maya, the Mexican restaurant on Oxmoor Rd, off Green Springs, in a lot that gets pretty crowded quick. An hour or less till closing and they're packed, so try to come a little earlier if you want to find parking.They're lightning fast in that truck! I had my burrito in less than 10 minutes, and some of that time was us ordering. Incredible food, very friendly staff, and a mostly convenient location. You're making a terrible mistake if you don't come get you some. ¡Buen provecho!Parking: Parking lot, but it's got a building that's being worked on, so it might look sketchy at first. Trust, it's fine. They are super worth the tight right turn.Kid-friendliness: There's no dining in, so kids are fine if they don't run into the road or something.Wheelchair accessibility: Fairly flat ground, no need for a ramp. The exits from the lot are doable, but they are quite a dip.“

“Favorite spot for Carnitas and Spinach Fajitas (so good that we seldom venture beyond our favorite dishes). Friendly family atmosphere although usually have some sports events on the screens. Food is delivered to table hot and in record time (seriously, you won't find a quicker time from order to eating). Also, very thankful for ability to substitute black bean frijoles. Portions and prices are both very reasonable; usually leave full and with a take-away box.“

“Tacos El Guero is a food truck that sits in a Shell gas station. The service is a bit slow and a bit impersonal, but the food more than makes up for it.I chose three tacos and the total was just a bit over nine dollars after these and all. I went with a campechano taco, an asada taco and a carnitas taco. The campechano taco was by far my favorite. The carnitas taco would probably get my second choice and then the asada taco. But do not misunderstand, they all were excellent tacos.They also had a few tables under a tent of you want to dine there. Not the biggest ambiance, but it works. Since it was a chilly night in December, I ended up eating my feast in my car.This is a solid choice if you are craving some good Mexican food.I would definitely recommend this Mexican food truck and they definitely earned my recommendation. I will give here five stars overall.“

“My Attorney boss and I tried this location for the first time. Sat-out on the patio, fantastic weather! Atmosphere great, bartender made the best skinny margarita!!We both ordered Taco baskets- boss got rednecker basket with refried beans and I ordered one chessybeef and one rednecker with queso.Be sure to park on the side by Edgar’s if you go at lunch! The parking lot is not the best but if you have to it’s worth the walk. lol“

“My husband and I have dined here many times and love the place, so we decided to invite my brother and sister-in-law to celebrate her birthday. It was just excellent!!First, the restaurant is beyond beautiful with the murals, decor, tiny ceiling lights, etc. We started with cocktails - Paloma (I always order this and it's the best in town), Ranch Water and a tequila neat. We shared the Sol y Luna Sampler, which is guacamole & pico de gallo w/ interesting assortment of chips - so fresh and delicious!For dinner, I ordered the grilled salmon w/ garlic mashed potatoes while my brother got the cantina house salad topped w/ grilled salmon. Both were excellent. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a wonderful sear on the outside and so moist inside. My husband and SIL shared the Gambas al Ajillo (the cooked garlic in olive oil w/ red pepper is outstanding!), Shrimp Diabla on a bed of mashed sweet potatoes w/ crispy potatoes, and Red Snapper al Mojo de Ajo w/ shrimp and an amazing tomato & onion sauce and all this came with baskets of bread to soak up all those flavors. As you can see from the pictures, each dish was just beautiful. And, each of them tasted amazing (I was lucky enough to get to sample their dishes). The seafood was not overcooked and each tapa was so unique and flavorful. In addition to the delicious drinks and food, the service was excellent. The hostess made her rounds throughout the night to check on customers and our server took great care of us. The owner, Jorge, was also very attentive, periodically checking on us and helping to make my SIL's birthday very special.So, based on this as well as our previous visits, I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed. We will be returning soon!!“

This Taco Mama is so close to us, has such a cute atmosphere with the outdoor sitting area, and is always delivering the best quality food! I'm a sucker for any kind of rice bowl and Taco Mama hits the spot each time. This location never skimps on the portions or sides which is for sure a plus. I usually get tofu since it's cheaper than the shrimp, but the shrimp is by far superior!! Always cooked and seasoned perfectly. “Grand Cantina hits the marks. It's a nice sized restaurant with more seating than you might expect It offers two dining areas, a full bar and can certainly accommodate large parties. Ambiance is fine. Not a traditional style for a Mexican restaurant but is bright and clean. Service here was friendly and staff were willing to accommodate the requests that we had without any issue. The menu is large with a lot of traditional entrees to choose from. For an appetizer we had queso with beef - really good. Much bigger than expected, I would definitely order this again. The staff brought a big basket of chips which was great as we didn't run out while enjoying our appetizer. Each person at our table was brought their own bowl of salsa and they provided a bowl for each person for the queso. Little differences like this made the dining experience better - I appreciated it. Entrees were very good. Served with rice and beans which were "typical" but the entrees themselves were loaded with meat and had great flavor. Prices here are very reasonable and I thought a great value for the quantity provided. Overall a satisfying dining experience on all fronts and I would not hesitate to recommended to anyone looking for American-Mexican food.“

I usually get there Mexican side speedy Gonzales , but this is also a Peruvian restaurant and in that that means that they have Pisco, which is a type of liquor that is very good in a margarita or a pisco sour, I always ask for Ishmyel, a very large open space not quite so intimate if you don’t like a lot of noise, but I go there for the food because the price is excellent for what you get you get a very good value for your money on lunch“
