Treating fresh local ingredients so well and not over complicating the plate is a rare thing. Most chefs try to show you how "cheffy" they are. Get the Carolina Gold Rice with the Blue Crab. It's the perfect dish. Fresh Crab, the rice is perfection and would make southern food enthusiasts like Sean Brock ask for seconds. We'll done!”

“My granddaughter and I recently dined at Chuck’s Fish to celebrate her graduation. The food, drinks and atmosphere were excellent. We had kimchi Brussels, uptown shrimp, and a delicious sushi roll. Then we really did it up big with the white chocolate bread pudding. The staff went above and beyond. Very friendly and attentive. Can’t say enough about how delicious the meal was. One of the owners came to our table and checked on us to make sure we were being taken care of, which we were. I would highly, highly recommend this place!!!”

“In my opinion, today’s food was awful. My grill quarters that I purchased as a take home meal was still pink on the inside as if it was rushed on the grill. They were out of a few items on menu. Lastly, what makes the taste of the chicken is the sauce that wasn’t even placed in the bag. I have had better but it was something about today. However, my son’s ribs in his opinion were burnt and just wasn’t good. I will return in hopes that the food is better.”

We almost didn't go back but I'm glad we did.
They fully redeemed themselves this time.
It started with the greeting as we walked in and only got better as things went along. Showtime was one of the best servers we've seen in a long time anywhere we've eaten and Morris is a grill operator extraordinaire. They got our order right despite the fact that we had difficult special requests and are extremely exacting.
We will definitely be returning and probably sooner than later.

“Drive from Bay Springs MS to Mobile for supper last night. Found the restaurant through an internet sesrch, with no prior knowledge. Walked in, was seated immediately. The waitress was very pleasant and took our order and brought our drinks immediately. Bread and salad was out quickly, when that was finished, the main course was there. All very efficient and quick. The wife got a ribeye, medium well, it was grilled to perfection with a good smoky flavor I had fried shrimp, onion rings and sweet potato casserole. They came with cocktail, tartar and comeback sauces. Shrimp were fried to perfection and I think this may have been the best onion rings I’ve ever had. Generous portions. And when we got our bill, it did not break the bsnk. Very reasonable. Would not hesitate to go back or to recommend this place to anyone. Great experience.”

The 2 young guys working were friendly, outgoing and truly a joy to talk with. staff was awesome. We had made tried the sausage they used before and they gave us a sample, as well as the soups and oh my gosh, they were divine. If we had more room or lived locally, we would have taken a quart or two of either one of the soups: today there was a taco soup and a beef noodle one. I highly recommend either one. Everything was fresh, serving sizes were adequate and prices were fair. If you are in the area, check it out; you won't be disappointed.”

My coffee could have tasted like a dumpster fire and I would not have cared because of how happy and kind the employees were. Every human in that building was happy to be at work today or did a 10/10 job at faking it. What a blessing to be that happy at work. Shout out to the owners or managers. I know how hard it is to cohesively get a group of people that happy to be at work and you guys are doing something right. Full disclosure-my coffee was delicious and not a dumpster fire. “If you find yourself in The Living Room in Mobile, Alabama you owe it to yourself to try the burger. It is melt in your mouth amazing. I had planned to only eat half and take the rest back to my hotel fridge to have the next day for lunch. However, after one bite it was suddenly my cheat day! Ohmygoodness! My next thought as I savored this culinary masterpiece was to at least save the fries for another meal. Nope! They were decadent! I am diabetic, so I fought the urge to eat them all. I did however leave them at the bar for those having a drink because it’s blasphemous to leave anything that delicious to get refrigerated and reheated, much less thrown away.
I will say they could use more servers and bar tenders when it’s busy, because I did have to wait, but I kind of forgot all about that once I tasted the burger!”

I went with the King Conecuh Dog and a strawberry soda, and let me tell you—it hit the spot. The hot dog was 100% beef and packed with flavor. Mine was topped with perfectly grilled onions and bell peppers, and the combination was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect late-night snack. The service felt like good ole Southern family-style hospitality, the kind that makes you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time. “I wish I had gotten the name of the gentleman working the to-go orders tonight because he truly deserves recognition. It was extremely busy there was barely anywhere to park and it honestly seemed like he was the only one handling all of the to-go orders. He was constantly moving, coming in and out quickly, and never stopped, yet he still stayed positive and energetic the entire time.
Even though my issue was completely my mistake, he took time out of his night to patiently help me figure out how to register and use my gift card so I could pay for my meal. He never made me feel rushed or like I was a bother, even with everything he had going on.
He was professional, helpful, and genuinely kind. Great customer service like that does not go unnoticed. Thank you for having such a wonderful team member working your to-go orders tonight.”

I love all of the food but I have never had grits like theirs, and the lemon dry rub wings are the absolute best. Most wings place over season their lemon pepper wings, but this location nails it every time. I can't say enough about my experience; I have been a customer for the last 4 years.”

I did a curbside pickup and went straight home from the restaurant, and the food was cold so that makes me think it was sitting there for a while waiting to be picked up. I haven't tried them all, but the ones I have had are a 10 out of 10 every single time (roasted pork, grilled pork, grilled chicken, beef, and egg are the ones I've had so far). Everything about these sandwiches - the bread, the veggies, the meats, and condiments - are always so fresh and delicious. Pretty sure they make all the bread there which is a huge plus as well. You can tell they care a lot about what they do.
Also, they're very affordable and they're usually super quick! Way better for you and more convenient than a lot of fast food places.”

“If you find yourself in The Living Room in Mobile, Alabama you owe it to yourself to try the burger. It is melt in your mouth amazing. I had planned to only eat half and take the rest back to my hotel fridge to have the next day for lunch. However, after one bite it was suddenly my cheat day! Ohmygoodness! My next thought as I savored this culinary masterpiece was to at least save the fries for another meal. Nope! They were decadent! I am diabetic, so I fought the urge to eat them all. I did however leave them at the bar for those having a drink because it’s blasphemous to leave anything that delicious to get refrigerated and reheated, much less thrown away.
I will say they could use more servers and bar tenders when it’s busy, because I did have to wait, but I kind of forgot all about that once I tasted the burger!”
