The owner is from Philly and knows what a Philly cheesesteak should look like, taste like, and the bread, soft and perfect. It is somewhat about the bread! So if you want to get a real Philly Cheesesteak, this is the first place I've found, and I'm from South of Tuscaloosa! “My friend and I had lunch here for the first time, and we both ordered the Reuben sandwich with a salad. I wish there would have been more meat in my sandwich (which cost $16 with an iced tea), but it was still delicious. My biggest complaint was with the staffing. There were three servers, and they all worked our table. No sooner had one left than another would arrive to ask if we needed anything. It was intrusive!“
“I had Kool Korner sandwiches bookmarked for a while now. I regret so much that I didn't get the opportunity to support this wonderful establishment prior to the owner passing away recently. My mom and I came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. There was a decent crowd dining inside and outside. The ordering process is straightforward. I ordered a regular classic cuban with chips and a drink. My mom had a regular pastrami with chips and a drink. We spent roughly $23; not bad for what we ordered. This is definitely the best Cuban I've had locally! The bread is absolutely amazing!!! This is what makes the sandwich. In the future , I will add more pickles as well as mustard. I really enjoyed my first time here and will be back to try more menu items. Got my eye on the beef empanada!!!“

“Brought my mom for lunch. I ordered The Chick with Fancy Nancy and mac-n-cheese. I like the apples, nuts, and grapes in Fancy Nancy. I did not enjoy the mac-n-cheese. It wasn’t very flavorful and seemed over cooked to me. It seemed like a weird color. That’s what made me think it was overcooked. I wish I had gotten the spinach salad instead of the mac-n-cheese. The spinach salad was great last time. I just thought I would try something different. My mom said her was ok.“

“I ordered from this JJ for delivery tonight and let me tell you, I was impressed. Initially when I ordered, the receipt said delivery for “tomorrow”, panicked, I call the store to make sure I didn’t mess up my order. The guy that answered the phone was so polite and assured me I did it correctly. From the time I ordered to delivery was 10 minutes, talk about freaky fast. You could call 911 and this JJ delivery driver would beat them to your house. Also, my wrap was 10/10.“

The staff are friendly, prompt and they are always hustling between an enormous amount of online orders and in-store orders. The food is as good as any other Jersey Mikes and always hot, fresh and stocked.What I HAVE witnessed on numerous occasions is what I would call a complete cross-section of humanity, all Gods children, some more special than others, some unfocused on the moment they are in, some in the process of what is obviously their first restaurant experience, some carrying in baggage, come to the counter and order and be handled patiently and gracefully by the staff.
