“I wish I could have posted my Philly Cheesesteak with mushrooms, but I was so hungry I ate it so fast. Yummy! The owner is from Philly and knows what a Philly cheesesteak should look like, taste like, and the bread, soft and perfect. It is somewhat about the bread! So if you want to get a real Philly Cheesesteak, this is the first place I've found, and I'm from South of Tuscaloosa! Thank you for giving me back the taste of Philly Cheesesteaks it was wonderful.Parking: Metered parking but got pretty close.“
“Went in to grab a quick lunch and chose the Italian sub. Everything on it was fresh and the meat used was of good quality as well. It's nice to be able to get a sub and actually taste the individual ingredients instead of the usual bland mess thrown at us by most chains.“
“I can be a little hard to please, but that was an amazing sandwich! Made fresh and heated up right in front of me. The taste was a perfect blend of toppings and spices. At first, I was worried that the price was too high, but after eating one of these sandwiches, I think I got a pretty good deal. “This was a wonderful surprise for lunch, as we just thought it a cute name when driving by.We came in to a counter full of people, who absolutely welcomed us and made us feel that they loved working there. One guy (manager/owner?) gave us a rundown on the general concept (chicken salads) and how to order. Other team members joined in, saying "...and you can get these on bread or lettuce." Great way to start the visit!We ordered and waited only a short time before being brought our food. We had a question / issue, and it was not only solved, but the team went beyond to help us feel like valued customers.The restaurant was clean and bright, making for a perfect mid-day meal after a long and busy wedding the night before. Perfect for us visitors needing something refreshing and recharging.“
“To anyone having to visit UAB Hospital or Kirkland Clinic-do yourself a favor and plan to eat here. Not only is the food far better than you would expect, the service is 5 star! The ladies behind the counter are friendly, courteous, and willing to make your meal just how you like it.Discovering Cora Lee’s breakfast potatoes is life changing, well, meal changing at least. Her smile will make you glad you came even if you don’t like potatoes.Do yourself a favor, skip the hospital cafeteria and take the elevator down to street level instead.If you can and wish to, show the team here some love by leaving a tip. These days good help is hard to find but awesome help is a real pleasure.“
“I hope this is a one time thing but I was so disappointed in my meal today. I love JJ, and I never thought I’d have anything negative to say but my sandwich left so much to be desired. No lettuce was on it and it was mostly bread with very little avocado. I’ve had the veggie many times before mostly at other locations and it’s never looked like this. Pic attached.“
“The food was fine. I decided to go because I hadn't been in a while. The only issue was that I ordered a melt, and it wasn't melted. Wasn't anything to rave about, I warmed it when I got home and was ready to eat it.Parking: The parking was adequate in an open multi-use area.Kid-friendliness: Meals are available for the kidsWheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs in the area which is easy for someone to roll a wheelchair right to the door“
“THE TWO WOMEN EMPLOYEES THAT HAVE WAITED ON ME WERE PLIGHT AND KIND AND ALWAYS GOT MY ORDER RIGHT AND ALWAYS GOT ME IN AND OUT OF THERE IN NO TIME THAT I MADE IT TO WORK ON TIME AND MY STEAK AND CHEESE SUB WAS WONDERFUL THAT I HAD HALF FOR DINNER AND THE OTHER HALF FOR BREAKFAST SENSE I WORK 13 HOUR SHIFTS FROM 7:00 AT NIGHT TILL 8:30 IN THE MORNING THANKS TO THE LADIES FOR FIXING A GOOD SUB FOR ME TO ENJOY AND STAY SAFE AND WELL OUT THERE AND GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF THEM ALWAYS AND FOREVER!??????♀️“
“My go to place for a good fast meal. The subs I get are just the way I want. The service is great. However, I am perplexed that the establishment is void of customers when I visit after work hours. Good for me on my way to an event at the BJCC or the not to far away high school.Parking: Parking is in rear of building away from the front entrance.“
“Both ordered Hook & Ladder sandwiches with no mayo. As good as any sandwich you get anywhere else. I don't like anywhere that ask you to round up your check for whatever their cause is...There is a box sitting at the register for donations and if I choose to give, my business. Don't like being "prodded"...Anyway, my gripe/my opinion.“
“This Subway was absolutely amazing! We ordered almost 10 different sandwiches and the employee who took our order moved quickly and was sooo kind to us! We visit this Subway quite frequently and they are always quick and treat us and their other customers kindly.“
“Not sure about why the previous r a c i s t woman was complaining about but for me this Subway is one of the best with the most friendliest and cleanest staff. Just check their health score. Maybe she confused it for another Subway she has beef with, since no one wears aprons at this location. But for me the best Subway so far! Food is fresh and portions are great! I’ve been coming here for months!“
“Great service had a mobile order got there checked in and it was incredibly busy but they team worked the lobby and the gentleman at the register made both my sandwiches stat and directly handed to me for the exit and was a BOGO 1/2 off mobile coupon!!!!“
“The food is alright but they are always stingy with the veggies and whenever I get the chicken and bacon ranch melt it always come with the pre scooped meat and always only have like 5 in each tray. They only give you 2 trays per foot long.“
“The service could definitely be friendlier but the food was good,fresh veggies and meat though the condiments are a bit bland but you get in and out and there is indoor and outdoor dining areas as most of the restaurants in the area have and the sandwiches go down easily but the drinks tasted a little funny ,other than that this a good place to eat and cheap as well“
“Sammy’s is a True Old School Burger Joint! Sidney Bajjalieh and his mom and dad own and run this joint. His mom and dad are still at the flattop griddle flipping high quality hamburger meat with a line out of the door sometimes. When you approach the building and walk in it’s like watching an episode of That 70’s Show or any thing circa 1965 to 1985. It’s an incredible Birmingham MUST SEE & EXPERIENCE!Family Owned and Operated since the mid to late 1960’s.The BEST BURGER IN TOWN!!!“
