“This place is a hidden gem in Pleasant Grove. 15-20 minutes from Birmingham and with the drive. The owner is so friendly and welcoming. The food is very fresh and delicious, you can tell there's a lot of love put into it. There are American choices for the less adventurous eaters and children's menu, also vegetarian options! My personal favorites are the falafel plate, Greek salad, tahini sauce, hummus and baklava. All homemade! Go try it, you won't be disappointed!“

“I had such a beautiful birthday dining experience at Brock’s, and I absolutely had to leave a review. From the atmosphere to the service to the food, everything felt warm, elevated, and intentional.

The lamb chops were cooked to perfection — medium, exactly the way I requested them — tender, flavorful, and beautifully seasoned. The au gratin potatoes (white & sweet)were rich and comforting and were absolutely divine. Every bite felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor.

I also enjoyed the roasted red pepper soup and ended the evening with the berry trifle dessert, which was the perfect sweet finish to a wonderful meal. You can tell care goes into both the presentation and the quality of the food.

What made the evening even more special was the exceptional service from Kat. She was attentive, kind, professional, and helped make my birthday dinner feel genuinely celebrated. I truly appreciated the signed birthday card and the extra touches that made the experience feel personal instead of rushed or routine.

In a time when great customer service can sometimes feel rare, Brock’s delivered both outstanding food and hospitality. I left feeling full, celebrated, and grateful for such a memorable evening.

“My friends and I had the best time being served by Dominique at Cracker Barrel in Bessemer. Servers are hit and miss these days in giving good service, so we were so delighted to have such a wonderful and attentive waitress who gave us excellent service. Dominique was so friendly and outright charming and made us laugh so hard. I haven't had such a good time out in a long time. She was knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations. “We will eat at this Applebees every time we come up for a track meet at the CrossPlex. We had a party of 11 and arrived at 7:20 pm. The hostess had us wait 15 minutes and we agreed to split up to 3 four person tables. We were blessed with Kevon as our server who patiently got the drink orders then the meal orders and never wrote down any notes. 15 minutes later all 11 meals arrived and he had everything exactly right. From the manager to the hostess this place is fantastic. The manager stopped by to chat as they were down a server and he wanted to let us know that was the delay. Now that’s a class act. Best Applebees I have I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place.“

If you used to getting those homemade omelets made when you go on a Island resort well guess what you can get that here where they make them fresh all the food was prepared fantastically and I enjoyed every bit of it and I suggest you stop in there for breakfast and enjoy a wonderful meal I'm not sure about lunch or dinner but I could definitely speak that the breakfast was off the chain.“

“JT’s is fairly basic as far as hotel bars go, though I’d think the renaissance would hold a higher standard. The food was excellent; fresh and delicious, just limited in variety. The drink menu was elevated but felt extremely short for a cocktail lounge. The staff did a great job, but were clearly struggling to keep up with the crowd.
