“We come through Mobile once a year or so and always try to have at least one meal here. Everything is amazing. Today, we left San Antonio Texas at 430am to head for Atlanta Ga to attend the funeral of my uncle who passed away on Saturday. we needed something comforting so here we are, enjoying the sunset, the amazing filet and shrimp, and the friendliness and good southern hospitality of our server, Lauren. Dad and I thank you for continuing to have amazing and consistently perfect food, atmosphere, and staff. Something very much needed today.“

“On our way back from Florida we stopped at this location as we saw the billboard on the Hwy. The food was truly delicious and our waitress Lisa was funny, quick and polite. Had scrambled eggs, bacon, brunch, potatoes, French toast, and chicken and biscuit and all were magnificent. Generous portions And cooked to perfection. “I have visited Fresh Seafood Distributors many times for their fresh fish, but we ordered some boiled crawfish this weekend for the first time. It was some of the best tasting crawfish I've had in a long time. They were good sized and perfectly seasoned. I highly recommend visiting these folks for your seafood and crawfish needs. They also have a great selection of spices and gumbo mixes.“

“I'm so disappointed in my new favorite restaurant. Took my family there two Sundays ago for lunch after.church. This was my third visit and first disappointment. Not sure what's .going on. To me they were good because of the different food they offered.. They have eliminated several side items and only offered broccoli and rice which I can get anywhere! Noticed they weren't packed either for a Sunday. Hope whoever made the decision to drop these items and others will put them back before its too late.“

Restaurant itself is quite bright, almost sterile.
Has a fishy odor, but understandable as I would think the fish is very fresh being by the bay.

“My wife and I had an impromptu date night last night at Southwood. It had to be one of the top 5 meals I've ever had! Murder Point Oysters followed by the Tomato & Mozzarella salad, leading into the Scallops and Cobia topped with Jumbo Lump Crab for entrees. Mind-blowing flavors and expression in each dish with impeccable presentation, topped off with precision table service. I can't say enough good things about Southwood! ♥️😎“

“I recommend them for their drinks! The drinks are really good and worth the price you pay! The food on the other hand is usually good, but this specific visit I asked for no onions on my sandwich and they still put onions on it. I told the waiter that I said no onions and showed him where they had onions on it and he said oh OK and didn't come back to the table until 10 minutes later with some sauce I ordered. So I guess that just meant that my sandwich wasn't gonna get remade or anything, so I just picked out the onions, but it still smells like onions. Total bummer and waste of money at that point but I didn't wanna cause a scene. I'll say if you get your food check to make sure it's right because nothing was done for mine“

“We waited over TWO hours for our food and drinks. When we got to speak to the manager he was brash and rude!!!! I will NEVER eat at this restaurant again. We did have a lovely waitress. She was treated poorly by the manager as well. If I were you, I would replace my manager!!!!“

“I had an amazing experience. I had the fish with rice and veggies with a margarita. the food was delicious! Christy, the bartender, was the sweetest, she ensured my drinks were well and she took really good care of me as a customer. The GM Chris was really respectful and nice! “We have been looking for a good Chinese buffet for a long time and just haven’t found one until now. The food was delicious, hot and lots to choose from. The crab Rangoon which is my favorite was actually crispy and hot not the typical soggy kind at most buffets. There was lots of sushi rolls to choose from and all were delicious. They also have a large dessert table and ice cream. The staff was super busy but still incredibly polite. Definitely coming back and I was already recommended the place to friends while I was still eating.

Vegetarian options: There was plenty of dishes that were vegetables but I’m not a vegetarian so I can’t say for sure if it would be your thing or not

Parking: We came at lunch hour they were super busy but we still found parking easy.

Kid-friendliness: They have pizza and chicken for kids who don’t like traditional Chinese food. They also have a huge dessert table any kid would love. There were lots of families while we were there with kids and they seemed to be enjoying it.“
