“I wish I had a sky full of stars to give for Josephine's review. They are surely deserving. 5 stars to represent the 5 senses will have to do. Visually it is absolutely beautiful. A lovely, rustic old home converted to a cozy intimate restaurant. The wafting smells of the food being prepared drew us as we wandered in. The warm, friendly greeting and attentive staff made us feel at home. The gentle bustle and buzz of the restaurant offset by a phenomenal soundtrack of eclectic music. My wife and I commented song after song about how special the ambiance was. Now to the food, although simply referring it as food is an extreme injustice. The meal was literally a work of art. Not the bougie, overly small (see what I did there?), portions with a drizzle of color to distract you from the fact that you about to "feast" on two bites of food. The portions were just the right size, completely satisfying without being grossly over or under sized. The ingredients were all extremely fresh and top quality. This makes total sense... with chefs creating such wonderful fare, why would you not use the best? Simply put, every single thing about Josephine's is absolutely perfect in my opinion. We wanted a special night for my wife's birthday and Josephine's delivered in spades. It could not have been any more perfect. Thank you SO much! If you are EVER in Flagstaff, you HAVE to make sure and try (try isn't accurate... let's say experience) Josephine's. Life is too short NOT to experience Josephine's!“

“Food was great, happy hour offerings are solid and the ambiance and patio with an amazing view closed the deal. We were 8 people with 4 kids and we had an amazing time while the children played in the grass. If you are looking for a place with amazing food and a place to hang out with the family you need to come here. The cherry on top was the service! Briggs took care of us like he was hosting a dinner party, he was kind, attentive, professional and warm. If you live in Flag, or are just having a holiday weekend don’t miss this place !“

“Really enjoyed all the pizza we got. Tried 2.of their creations and a pepperoni for 2 teens and 2 adults. Ended up with about a pie worth to take home too. Old school style service that reminds me of NJ/NY. Order at counter get number, find a table, they bring it out. Plenty of tables when I went but if very busy that could be an issue like anywhere else with that setup. Enjoyed my beer and slices though, highly recommend!“

While the food was amazing, the service experience was disappointing due to this interaction. Tipping should be appreciated, not expected at a specific percentage. We hope management addresses this, as customers should never be made to feel judged or pressured over a tip.“

“I finally had the chance to visit this restaurant after wanting to do so during my last trip to the area. It was absolutely worth the wait! The onion pakora was a perfect appetizer, as it was crisp without being greasy. The chana masala at “medium-plus” spice level packed more heat than the “hot” spice level at many other Indian spots I have tried in Florida. Bravo! Both the basmati rice and papadum were subtly seasoned with cumin seeds, adding just the right depth of flavor to round out the meal. Every bite of my dinner reflected care and quality. Pizza would have been excellent but crust was too doughy / under cooked. Great sauce, cheese and toppings but the lackluster, limp crust kind of ruined it. Maybe order yours crispy.“
