“This place was amazing. The food was unique and delicious (we got the whole pescado- red snapper, adobo ribs, dumplings, ceviche). The drinks were on point. And the atmosphere/service was intimate and fast/knowledgeable without being pushy. It’s a little pricey but worth it, Definitely will be back“

“At Culinary Dropout in Gilbert, AZ, prepare to embrace your inner food rebel. With a menu that doesn't play by the rules, I found myself immersed in a culinary experience that was both indulgent and delightfully unexpected.
Starting with the Pigs in a Blanket--this wasn't your average kiddie fare. These puff pastry-wrapped sausages were flaky, savory bites of heaven, served alongside a tangy mustard dip that provided just the right kick. It's the perfect pub snack elevated for adults who still want to play.
Next up were the nachos: a generous pile of crispy chips smothered in cheese, black beans, and pulled chicken. Topped with fresh salsa and a dollop of sour cream, they brought all the guilty pleasure without any pretense. Every bite was a fiesta for the taste buds.
To add some balance to the decadence, I went for the house salad, a crisp mix of greens, cucumber, and parmesan, lightly tossed in a buttermilk ranch that was a creamy dream. It was simple, but a refreshing counterpoint to the rich starters.
Culinary Dropout feels like a place where food can be fun, casual, and a little bit rebellious. The vibe is laid-back, the menu playful, and every dish whispers (or shouts), "Forget the rules, and just enjoy." Whether you're grazing on pub favorites or diving into their larger plates, this place knows how to hit the sweet spot between indulgence and satisfaction.
Melissa Budder is an amazing server give that woman a raise“

“Ordered 7 live lobsters for pick up Christmas Eve. They weren't handled properly, thrown in a plastic bag, rough handled. Ice was provided. Luckily, we brought a cooler. They were swamped and under staffed. The lobster meat was tough. I know how to cook and dissect a lobster, so I didn't overcook it. I've been eating lobster 58 yrs of my life, and I'm the one who cooks it. $27 /lb, too high. I believe I was misquoted, but we cannot find the initial text that showed the price quoted. They take a deposit upfront. Ours was $100.00. The bill was a little over $300, way over what we were quoted. But the owner denied that. He was stressed out to the max.“

“I was passing by and thought I'd give it a shot, and I'm so glad I did! Really good prices for a delicious meal. Everything tasted fresh, and the portions were perfect. I was so full, I couldn't even try anything else on the menu, which is a shame!“

“The first and still the best! Everything was perfect: Gumbo, Soft shell crab, oysters, beans and rice, but give the crunchy chicken wings a try. Shout out to Lauren and the crew. Totally upbeat staff. We were celebrating so our bill was big, but the value was great! Normally we can do lunch around $20“

“Our waiter was like a school teacher. Very informative and educational. I think you Red lobster for having employees such as the waiter that I had this evening. I wish I would have got his name because he was absolutely awesome at his job. More companies need to have employees like him.“

“My 11 year old son and I stopped in for some sushi tonight and I must say. I've never been so mistreated by a place of business in my entire life. Food was just ok. Nothing special. I ordered 10 piece sashimi, 2 rolls, stuffed jalapeños, miso soup and a sculpin ipa. The girl didn't know what sculpin was and asked for me to point it out on the menu so I did. Our food started coming out and 4 of the 5 items were already on the table and my son and I were starting to get full. The waitress hadn't brought my beer yet and I stopped her and reminded her I hadn't gotten the beer I ordered and I no longer wanted it since we were already pretty far along into our dinner. After I mention this she quickly hurrys to the bar and brings the beer apologizing for the delay. I tell her like I said I no longer wanted it so she took it away. Later when she brings the check the beer that I didn't receive and said I no longer wanted was still on the check. I asked her to please remove it. The owner comes over and in an agitated and aggressive manner asks if there is a problem wirh the bill. I told him yes the beer needed to be removed. He says no he will not remove it since it was already poured. He walks over to bar and brings it back and says here is your beer you need to pay for it. I explained to him how I received it after I had gotten most of my food and no longer wanted it but he refused. He was beyond rude and unreasonable. Most restaurants would take back a beer even if you take a drink and don't like it, I didn't get my beer until I was done with 50% of my food and didn't want it anymore! I mentioned something about his poor customer service and how it's no surprise the place is empty with no customers. The guy gets really heated and demands j pay for the drink. I got up and told my son let's go and the owner begins to assault me pushing me in the shoulder to back me up. 3 of his staff and my son witnessed this. He then stood in front of the doors and would not let us exit until I signed the credit card slip. I went back to the table and signed it "F You" and he let us out but after he read the signature the owner ran outside the store threatening me and getting into my face while calling the cops. His staff even thought he was crazy and were begging me to sign it and they offered to reimburse me $5 cash for the beer. They said their boss was having a bad day. The staff even agreed that the beer came out late which should not have been problem to have it removed. I ended up scribbling something on another copy of the credit card receipt and he finally allowed us to walk away without harassing us. My son was so scared he was calling 911 himself because of how the owner was assaulting me and up in my face. All this mistreatment over a $5 draft beer. I will never step foot in this place again and I should press charges against the owner for putting his hands on me and assaulting me. He even mentioned he has it all on camera so he can validate himself everything that took place. I read over other reviews for this place and it seems this owner likes to argue and fight rather than take accountability for his and his staffs actions. It's unacceptable for anyone to EVER be treated this way, EVER.“

“I'm sitting at the house with the little woman and she says ' Sweetie, you seem to be getting on pretty good after the cataract surgery and I want to order food or cook something special for you! What woudl it be? I'm thinking how about catfish nuggets and dirty rice. She says she will go to the store and she's going to cook it. She had a bad day and I tell her no, we'll order it and the fun begins. Lucky for us, as I 'm checking the list of cajun food restaurants--A is for but my eyes are sucked in by BABY KAYS in bright red lettering. OK, short story it ain't--I have her call in the order 1. Catfish dinner, 2. BarBCue shrimp dinner, 3. a side of dirty rice and 4. a side of jumbalaya. I live in Sun Lakes and I drive over to pick up the meal and I need my tail whooped because I did not get the bar tenders name who made small talk as she took my money and gave me the order. The meal was so dad-gone good, that I started with the tartar sauce and the horse radish that was prevelent on my taste buds. On the 5 star restaurant scale an 9+. You can't get more than five on the other scale so I gave em a nine plus. WORTH THE DRIVE! WORTH THE COST! AND THE AMBIANCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE....I'M LIKE ARNOLD, 'I'LL BE BACK!' What a food experience...Rhonda and I will eventually go for a sit down...and that's all I got to say about that. Ken and Rhonda“

“Have you ever eaten Nacho's only to get down to the bottom and you only have chips left! Not here they layer the Chicken Nachos and we actually had chicken left when we were done. Go during Happy Hour only $9.00 a meal in themselves. Pair it with one of there beers and you've got dinner! Great food no matter what you order.“
