The woodworking craftsmanship of the booth seating, walls, and ceiling were awesome! Even the bathroom was stunning.
We did the build your own coffee drinks and had the bacon champagne deviled eggs, the farmhouse plate, and the caprese. All of it was delicious!

“I loved the vibe, very Portland-esque. Industrial brick with wood accents in the cozy front lead to a spacious back seating area with a variety of table sizes for solo sips or group meetups (I was there for a book club). Having vinyl for sale in the back adds to the experience. I came on a Case & Friends night, so it was busy and had awesome music provided by DJs (both local and visiting from out of state).
The staff was super welcoming — from the owner greeting me and showing me the menu, to the barista taking my order with friendly personal suggestions, to the chef walking my order to me with a flourish. I loved the Brown Sugar Sage Latte, and I’ll be back to try more of their espresso drinks for sure. They had a special offering of savory and sweet crepes, and they were amazing. The staff, food, ambiance, pricing, and space are all exactly what I’m looking for in a local, family-owned coffee shop.“

“Bright and cheery in the Dark Hall. If you’re in the Phoenix area and love coffee, it’s is a must visit! The esthetic alone is worth a stop, and the coffee is just as impressive! My grown kiddos enjoyed the tonic coffee and Arnold Palmer coffee. They were delighted to see both on the menu. I’m more traditional, but there’s something for everyone. The least ordered is the Chia, if you’re a chai lover this one might miss the mark. Overall awesome experience. Friendly staff, clean and unique atmosphere, impressive menu, and great flavor! We left with coffee, t-shirts, stickers, and a wish that we had a Dark Hall in Oklahoma. It’ll be a permanent spot for every future visit.“

“My wife heard about Mis Raices Café through family and facebook. We are always looking to try new places around town. My wife, one of our daughters, and I stopped in this morning. The atmosphere was very positive and relaxed with the baristas and other customers. We each had a different drink choice: Duvalin Iced Latte, Marzipan Iced Latte, and a Carmel Iced Latte. All three looked amazing just from the presentation when the baristas made them. They all tasted just as amazing. Once we left we realized we may have been sitting next to the owner and his daughter. If we realized it when we were there we would have told him how impressed we were and it is one of the few we would beyond highly recommend to everyone. “Big fan of Black Rifle! They sent me a large donation on my last deployment in 19-20. Their coffee shop did not disappoint! Many choices to pick from, something for everyone. My wife and I picked up swag for ourselves and my son. Coffee was delicious and decor was pretty cool! Wish I lived in Phoenix - I would hang out here.

“Luana’s is by far one of the coolest coffee shops I’ve ever been to! From the first day I stepped foot into this place, I felt like I was walking into a home away from home. They have the coziest furniture that makes you want to stay for hours. The barista’s have always been so welcoming which has played a big part in making every experience at Luana’s a 10/10. Not to mention their breakfast pizza is a 100/10. They have such unique specialty coffees and their matcha is one of the best I’ve had yet. Anyone would regret not stepping foot at least once in such a lovely place!“

We headed there at the perfect time. The weather was cozy and they have a really great shared patio with the other neighboring establishments.

I noticed traffic picked up around 11am so if you’re looking to snag a good spot and get some work done I suggest showing up prior to 11am

I realized I didn’t grab any pics of the inside but here’s what you need to know

For those who actually need work space upon entering they have a bar that looks out to the street. This spot holds about 4-6 people

When you first walk in if you turn slightly right they have 4 tabletops if you’re working with some friends

I order a coffee ☕️ flight which isn’t on their menu but I did see on IG they had a Halloween coffee flight line up

So happy I got it

Decent sizes for a flight as well
A lot of places give you a small sample so I really appreciated them topping it off

You can’t go wrong with the honeycomb latte

Several folks ordered it and raved about the flavor

They also have a pistachio latte which I absolutely fell in love with so if you love a nutty coffee flavor I recommend giving this a try

Only con is I did not see any spots to plug in your laptop so if you’re actually working bring a device to charge up so you don’t run out of juice“

“We are on vacation and this is one of the best places we’ve been. Heard it was a cool environment and it is! The grilled cheese? Super! The strawberry salad with CANDIED WALNUTS? Wow-so good. And we shared a cinnamon roll that was perfect (get it warmed up)! Fun and inviting. You should go!“

The iced blueberry tea with blueberry foam is light, refreshing, and out of this world. Steep is also a warm and inviting place to come hang out and work. I am usually disappointed with vegan food offerings in coffee shops, but their breakfast sandy is delicious! The slaw in the sandy takes it over the top.“
