“The food here has always been delicious. Came here one day cause my usual place was closed. Each experience has been on point no disappointment. Couldn’t believe how good a bean burrito is from here, been going and ordering different places and non measure to the taste of the bean burrito, always delicious no matter what I decide to order here. Whether I go dine in or thru drive-thru the atmosphere nice and welcoming from the staff here they have been very good. CHRIS stands out his customer service is exceptional, he is all that goes in to an exceptional customer service when working with customers. I’m 30 or so minutes now from here but stop when I get the chance.“

We found it....Cocina Madrigal was exactly what we were looking for...We actually sat at the bar since there was a short wait for a table. I was here with a college friend who lived out of the state also. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had the combination Taco/Burros/Tamales/Enchiladas...Our gracious bartend/waitress suggested the perfect way they should be prepared. All the employees were very friendly and make you feel incredibly welcomed. Highly recommend and we will return when we are traveling through Phoenix..“

“Without a doubt one of the best Mexican Restaurants in Phoenix. A very different style from typical Sonoran Mexican food. Great Monday drink specials and very friendly attentive staff. Food came out hot with a lovely presentation. Definitely a higher end style of Mexican food!!

“The Tamale Store is a true gem and officially one of my favorite eateries now. I first visited its Phoenix location in person last July and have placed two FedEx orders since then, with each one just as delicious as the last. The gluten-free, vegan tamales are generously portioned and bursting with flavor. Shipping is expeditious and everything arrives fresh and ready to enjoy. If you haven’t tried them yet, do it. You won’t be disappointed! :)“

“This place is new to me. Found on google. The price was good actually I was impressed. However cash only at this place which sucks but they do offer an atm on site if u need one. I ordered the red chile burrito it was delicious if I had to make a comment I think something went slightly wrong I could taste a bit of like a steam flavor not sure if it came from when they boiled the meat or the water they used? Anyway it wasn’t enough to ruin it in anyway foood was awesome. I need to let em know before the cashier was rude as hell young lady was mumbling and rolling her eyes and using her cell phone the whole time this Kinda ruined our 1st time experience. We were greeted by a nice lady at first but the younger lady helped us cash out was rude idk if I’ll go back. Rather take my business elsewhere.“

“Dropped in and ordered 2 tacos. One Carne asada and one carnitas. Both were very tasty. Highly recommend both. Added a large drink and paid pennies over $10.00. Pretty inexpensive I thought. Came with chips and salsa, too. Again, both were fresh and also tasty. Fernando, the young man who helped me, was courteous, polite and helpful. So obvious the result of good parenting. Congrats to mom & dad!“

“I started eating lunches at Don Jose in 1966 while I was pregnant with my daughter. I ate there often because I worked nearby. As the years went by we ate there so many times the “original” staff knew us by name. When they closed down we were saddened, but were so happy when they sold the business (and recipes) and reopened. My daughter and family and almost every close friend I have continue to enjoy the great food, the family atmosphere, friendly staff and owners. I highly recommend Don Jose’. Best find of 1966 through today!!“
