“Just found this Glendale gem hidden in a plaza and I am so glad I tried it! I ordered a number 4 I think, the gin blossoms and it was so yummy and creamy!!! The cranberry gave the perfect amount of sweetness, too! And it was even better reheated the next day! The owners are super friendly and down to earth! They made me feel like I was a local regular already! And they have cool free stickers! Just give this place a try once and you’ll come back for the great customer service, food, and over all experience!“

“I visited again when in the area. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. I ordered the egg and cheese sandwich on sourdough bread, together with a self service coffe ( with delicious french vanilla coffee mate ?) The sandwich was lovely and crispy and extremely tasty. Indoor seating is available and there's a nice relaxed vibe inside. Great value prices for the US. Also available were yoghurt pots, fruit pots, cold drinks, crisps etc.... “I've gotten delivery from sacks multiple times now .. this place is delicious. I get their Tuna on Sourdough with sprouts, tomato, onion and banana peppers with deli mustard, horseradish sauce --- ABSOLUTE FIRE. I love this sandwich. I also get a chocolate chip cookie -- a small once comes with the sandwhich which is what got me hooked on ordering the big one. Today it came .. and it was warm .. they put in the back with the hot sandwhich we also got .. how thoughtful! the cookie arrived warmed for me. Delicious. Love this place.

For vegetarians: They have a ton of veggie options that you can load on a sandwich and different mustards and spreads you can try out. It's good .. but not a ton of options as far as vegetarian deli meats, tofu or anything like that. But it's doable. And A LOT fresher than some of the other vegan vegetarian options for sandwhiches available.“

Atmosphere, well it's a sandwich shop, but atmosphere was great because it was clean, restrooms were locked but very well kept and atmosphere was great because I was with my 9 year old son after his allergy injections and he wanted to go to another "monster chain" sandwich shop. I convinced him to try this place with the deal I'll take him for a steak next week if he doesn't like Port of Subs. I'll still get him a steak for his birthday dinner coming up but he already asked if we could bring his brother next week and eat here again. Port of Subs rocks! Tucked into a modest shopping center right off the expressway, this small, no-frills spot instantly brings back memories of home.

Though the neighborhood has a mixed reputation, I’ve always felt completely safe visiting Luke’s. The cozy interior is lined with classic Chicago street signs, pictures of the Lakefront, and that familiar, comforting aroma of sizzling beef and onions.

Luke’s menu is packed with Chicago staples: juicy burgers with grilled onions, Chicago-style hot dogs with that signature bright green relish, hearty pizza puffs, and of course, the iconic Italian beef sandwich—my personal favorite. Everything is made fresh to order, and you can watch your food being prepared right in front of you.

Be warned, prices have risen with the times. My recent burger and fries (extra onions, of course) ran me about $20—but it was worth every bite. There are no combo meals or discounts, everything is à la carte, but the flavors and authenticity are unmatched.

“Luana’s is by far one of the coolest coffee shops I’ve ever been to! From the first day I stepped foot into this place, I felt like I was walking into a home away from home. They have the coziest furniture that makes you want to stay for hours. The barista’s have always been so welcoming which has played a big part in making every experience at Luana’s a 10/10. Not to mention their breakfast pizza is a 100/10. They have such unique specialty coffees and their matcha is one of the best I’ve had yet. Anyone would regret not stepping foot at least once in such a lovely place!“

“I went for a sandwich and couldn't really eat because I just had dental work done. I was greeted immediately and even though they were busy they didn't take long to get to my order. They offered alternative suggestions that would be easy on my teeth without suggesting soup. They made me feel at home and I wasn't embarrassed to not have any teeth (currently waiting on my dentures). I had the meatballs and also ordered a pasta. I have driven by this location 2x a day for as long as I can remember and now I have a reason to come in. Sky and Vanessa were great and I highly recommend the food!!! “I had a great experience at Sacks Sandwiches! I ordered the sacks symphony turkey bacon avocado sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious — fresh ingredients and great flavor. The complementary cookie was a nice touch and really tasty. I’d skip the potato salad, lemon bar, and caramel apple bar though — they didn’t quite hit the mark for me.

I was really hoping to try one of their soups, but the only option that day was a cabbage-based one that didn’t appeal to me. I would’ve loved to see something more classic like a decadent potato leek, broccoli cheddar, or even a tomato bisque. Hopefully next time!“

Once I got to the window, the level of customer service I received baffled me. I was told in the absolute nicest way that the order was just printed up on their side and it would be a little bit before it would be done. Lol. It took like 30 seconds. “Not all Subways are alike. I usually order on the app and pick up these days. They almost always have my order ready ahead of me arriving. I don't know the guy's name that was making my sandwiches last time but he seemed to be in charge there and he was really pleasant and made a great sandwich. I was dreading a big line and got lucky nobody was there until I was leaving. He had a nice demeanor and made everything perfectly. He said enjoy the sandwiches and I really did. My orders usually vacillate between the Hot Pastrami and the Number One. Today was Hot Pastrami. I ordered ahead online and it was ready when I arrived 15 mins later, still piping hot. They’ve always offered white, wheat and sourdough bread. For the past few years they’ve offered a specialty bread, like Parmesan Swiss.
