“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Forefathers in Tempe, Arizona, and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience. The food was simply amazing, earning a solid 10 out of 10 from me. I opted for the Philly cheesesteak, which was incredibly fulfilling and allowed for customization to suit my taste. The portion size was just right, not too much for a single person. The sweet potato fries were absolutely great, though I wish they could've been a little warmer. Despite this, they were so tasty that I could enjoy them even without any ranch or additional toppings. The drink selection was also impressive; I particularly appreciated that the Sprite and lemonade had the perfect carbonation levels, which is often hard to find. The packaging was also noteworthy, with separate compartments for jalapeños and sauces, all conveniently stored in a cooler next to the refrigerated items. The staff were exceptional, with everyone wearing a smile and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Even the other customers seemed to be in a great mood, adding to the positive vibe of the place. The service was top-notch, and I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly my food was ready. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, which was impressive for a busy day. Overall, I highly recommend Forefathers, especially if you're a fan of Philly cheesesteaks. I don’t know of any other place that offers jalapeño cilantro ranch, making it a unique and enjoyable dining experience in Tempe, Arizona.SecurityinFriends“
“My favorite sandwich shop for 5+ years! Only place that has my favorite Zapp's VooDoo chips as well. I recommend the Dutch Crunch bread for the sandwiches. Thank you Robin for the little treat in the bag and making me my usual order: Chris Jericho.“
“Stickers everywhere and giving off a real 70s-80s vibe. The best selection of sandwiches that I've seen in a long time. So many choices that all looked really good! The food came quickly and the price was excellent. We had the Orange Widow, KGB, and Apollo 13 sandwiches and each of us agreed they were good. Apparently the Black Widow and Kali are some of their most popular. The bread is fresh, and they toast it nicely yet not too much to kill your mouth with the crunch. Drinks were on the house when we came, a great bonus. Though it's a little over the top on the cannabis-drugs-and-grunge riff, it pretty tasty and we would definitely come again!“
“We had a great breakfast and would love to come back and try the sandwiches. By the time we left, it was busy, so It's obvious this place is well-liked and busy for lunch. Everything was fresh, the coffee and juice were good, and the service was friendly. Great value and great food!“
“Loved this place! It small and quaint and the food is really good! The bacon, egg, & cheese croissant was bigger than normal places. The seasoned potato chunks were really good too. Loved the people working there too! Not sure if it was the owner but he personally came outside to tell us thank you and to come back when we’re in town again“
“This is truly a Gem in the cut. The sandwiches are fresh, huge and taste like your in Chicago eating. Your met with a smile and attention when you come in the restaurant. They listen to get the order perfect. I ordered the cheese steak and a turkey hoagie. Both were so fresh and hot. They can definitely cook !!! See ya soon.“
“Outstanding hole-in-the-wall gem that I’m super happy I stumbled into by accident! Egg drop sandwich was stuffed to the brim and delicious. Mango Yogurt smoothie was fantastic too. The staff was super friends and even the interior decor is super cozy too. Highly recommended if you’re looking for boba / a snack in Tempe!“
“One of my favorite lunch spots! I usually always get the McAllisters Club with potato salad but decided to try the half sandwich and baked spud. I didn’t care for the baked potato only because of the full size bacon in it. I love the potato salad so next time I’ll just stick to my usual! But other than that the service is great.“
“Absolutely the best Firehouse I have ever had. Been to 4 different locations. But never like this location. Absolutely worth the drive if you want a great sub. And the Manager Coury I believe, was very much a great help. Thank you guys for great service and great food!“
“The flavor was intense. It wasn't until after I ordered the steakhouse beef that I noticed it had blue cheese. My fault completely missed it, but honestly...this sandwich made me kinda like blue cheese. The favor like I said was intense and rich. I would for sure pick this place over Subway. Next time I'll try a blue cheese less sandwich“
“First time in 18 years to eat at a Schlotzsky’s Deli because we are now gluten free. Came into the Tempe, AZ location on Sunday afternoon. Seth was working the order counter and greeted us promptly and friendly. He assured us that we were safe with our gluten free needs. We had a great turkey bacon sandwich. Looking forward to coming back soon. Great job Seth, keep up the positive spirit snd thank you Schlotzsky’s for providing gluten free options.“
“I enjoyed the sandwich very much. It would have been 5 stars but when I placed my order for a large sandwich, I got home and daw that I had been charged for a medium and given a medium sandwich. I was really hungry that day and that medium did not fill me up. Wish the cashier had placed my order like I had asked. Over all she was sweet and helpful.“
“This is my favorite place to grab a quick lunch near my workplace. I come here about once a week. I'm giving service only 1 star today for the following reason: a new employee working at the sandwich assembly counter has very long braided hair (down to waist level). As she was leaning over the sandwiches she was preparing, the ends of her braids were dragging across the food. This is gross and unsanitary. Get all your employees to tie their hair back behind their head, wear hairnets, or similar to comply with approved safe food handling practices and I'll change my rating.Updated review - I returned for lunch about a week after I posted the review above. Was pleased to see that all employees with long hair had it tied back behind their heads. Thanks for listening and taking action.“
“Staff was extremely helpful with menu and adjustments to my order. VERY clean establishment. No frills. Very laid-back atmosphere.Only improvement would be to add a reasonable amount of meat to the sandwiches. In my opinion it was the bare minimum or less with the bread being 85% of the sandwich.Prices were also reasonable.“
“Overall very clean and didn't feel cramped or congested in the lobby, staff was very polite and orderly and the food was made to perfection. They even give you a free cookie or chips if you add something *EXTRA* WHICH which I was very happy about and didn't know.“
“Best Jersey Mikes I been to in a while. Never write reviews on here but wanted to after this place. As someone who used to work at a JM, I know what to look for. They made my sandwich perfect (which is very rare) and quickly and keep the place clean. They're very friendly and helpful. Shoutout to this place“
“This owner/chef is amazing. Followed her from her last restaurant, Thai Time Kitchen. So glad she started another restaurant! Her food is spectacular with a large variety of dishes as well as her signature Thai dishes. Something for everyone! Too much to list!“
