I ordered the egg and cheese sandwich on sourdough bread, together with a self service coffe ( with delicious french vanilla coffee mate ?) The sandwich was lovely and crispy and extremely tasty. Indoor seating is available and there's a nice relaxed vibe inside. Great value prices for the US. Also available were yoghurt pots, fruit pots, cold drinks, crisps etc.... “One of the best Sandwich Shop’s in Phoenix! Sacks is a great place to be able to grab a quick healthy lunch in the Downtown area!

My go-to is The Improve, which is basically an entire Thanksgiving meal wrapped up into a sandwich, with turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce on a baguette! I also really enjoy their potato salad, and you can’t skip on their treats! They have an amazing lemon bars and their cookies are top notch!“

“Amazingly Fresh. I work in the area over at Shamrock Farms and was looking for a good lunch spot. Saw King's Subs a few times and decided to drop in one day. I think I have been back about 5 or 6 times now! Fresh warm breads and top notch ingredients and the owners are terrific! :)“

“First time visiting J P Mc Gurkee's Sandwich Shop. Food was great and I think the prices were comparable to other more national chains.

Inside is pretty dated but it's been around awhile and that's part of the charm.

Will for sure be coming back for lunch again!

Quality ingredients, delicious breads (they do have GF and a low-carb wrap option which are both good), friendly staff and they’re quick with your order. “First time eating here and let me tell you I was blown away! BEST SAMMICH IN A LOOOOONG TIME! I had the Paul Reuben, PERFECT! It really hit the spot. These guys have quite a menu, lots to choose from, even chips and drinks have great selection.

“I usually don’t review more casual restaurants, but I felt it to be worthwhile to note that the staff has always been excellent here in the little over 2 years that this location has been open.The last time I went there on Friday, I had placed a mobile order rather late (like a minute before I pulled up). Once I got to the window, the level of customer service I received baffled me. I was told in the absolute nicest way that the order was just printed up on their side and it would be a little bit before it would be done. Lol. It took like 30 seconds. I was thanked, and sent on my way.Honestly, the guys there were so nice that I felt like I had something in my teeth or something, but I didn’t! Maybe I can't explain how genuine and nice these guys were, but I drove off a little and said to my wife, no, I need to go in and say something, so I got my lazy self out of the car, walked in, and gave the gentleman a tip because I was just so impressed. “I had never heard of this sandwich shop, and on a recent Business trip here to Arizona, I found this place twice for lunch.

Had the Reggie Jackson (Ham, Bacon, Extra Dirty Sauce, and American) and the Paul Ruben (Pastrami, Purple Slaw, French Dressing, Swiss) and loved both sandwiches! Tasty and on good bread with high quality fillings and plenty of meat.

Both meals were accompanied by Zapp’s Chips, some of my favorites, and a complimentary lollipop!

Avery, the GM was helpful and made excellent suggestions.
