50 Best Mexican Restaurants in Scottsdale

“I got the combo shredded beef burrito rice beans w.added side of guacamole
TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT I RECEIVED IN MY OPINION
I've had this before (I thought, I really enjoyed it, I thought) Rice and Beans good, not much flavor in my shredded beef and seemed like more tortilla than meat on each end just be sure to start your burrito in the middle to get your beef or your filled with soggy tortilla..... sad ? Needed some cheese ?? Salsa ?? FLAVOR ?? Maybe just not my day I really did enjoy it in the past.....

Parking: Alot of parking available I have ♿️ plates which makes it nice but that didn't give me the only upfront parking because nobody else was there at 11 am PARKING WAS ABUNDANT“

Parking: Huge parking lot“

“Very sad to say that we had a very bad experience at your restaurant after so many great meals there. There was one server a very young guy, who was taking his time with everything but the customers on the patio. The place was not packed. There were just certain people he was clearly ignoring. At 30 minutes of sitting he approached and said I'll get to you when I can. At the 45 minute point we had ordered and still had not gotten drinks or appetizers. I asked one of the waitresses who had just arrived and she brought two drinks out. She was very nice. But we then waited until an hour and a half before our server brought the food, cold, like really cold. Clearly it had been sitting around a while. There were only four tables in the restaurant. I think this was probably payback for us asking about our drinks. The entire time he was had been waiting diligently on a table with a single young female, refilling her water, returning again and again. Great food but lately, really terrible service and this waiter really sent the message that he could care less.“

“This place is tucked away off Scottsdale road. We always try places new to us. If you are in the mood for fast food style and casual Mexican food then this is a great place to go. The pastor taco is very good. We also had the chips and salsa. The salsa is very thick almost like a tomato paste with a roasted tomato flavor to it (not my choice in salsa but it was good). The portions are not huge, which is also good. The place is very clean as well. It is worth a try if you were in the area. They do not serve beer or alcohol FYI..“

“Best ceviche I’ve ever had! The guacamole was incredible. Handmade tortillas. The frozen Paloma’s are to die for. The food is amazing but what really made me write this review was the cozy hospitality that you feel when you walk inside.

The owner, David, was so kind to us and proudly told us the amazing story behind the name of the restaurant. His father is a famous guitar maker in Mexico! He even let us play one of his guitars. The staff were wonderful, everything was offered on time and food came out quickly and fresh.

Love the ambiance and the feeling of familiarity when you eat here. Definitely a must try restaurant !“

Tocaya was a total surprise with lots of options for each of us.

Taco Tuesday was a great day to visit... $2 tacos and discounted appetizers.

“I ordered the carne as Ada plate #18. It is really good. The beans while plain are cooked through the proper methods and their rice is delicate. Where they lack is the salsa packets, I really do not care for salsa in what looks like ketchup packets.“

“I absolutely love the food here, but they messed up pretty good when I was here the other day. I placed my order online, and waited about 10 minutes before going to the restaurant so that I wouldn’t have to wait. A pet peeve of mine is waiting when I’ve ordered ahead, because the whole point is to be able to walk in, grab my food, and walk out. I will warm up my food at home again, just to avoid the waiting. But, when I got here, they hadn’t started my food. I was the only person in the place, the only name on the board. I appeared that someone started my food when I got there…but 20 minutes of waiting later, while watching two other people walking in and ordering at the counter, getting their food and leaving…I still didn’t have my food…and no one working there seemed to find that weird.

After thinking about it, thoroughly confused as to why this happened, I do think that first person made my food when I got there…and then someone else handed it to someone in the drive-thru. Sorry, drive-thru person, you probably really disliked my order, since I’m a really picky eater. What I don’t get is this…when I came up and wanted my money back, steam coming out of my ears at this point, why didn’t you just tell me what happened? Instead, you made it seem like you just hadn’t done it yet, and just didn’t care at all that I’d been sitting there for 30 minutes for food that is pre-made and just has to be put in the box and handed to me.

I ultimately decided to still get the food, since after I went up it was ready like a minute later. The only reason I still got it was because the thought of waiting another 20 minutes somewhere else was daunting. And, the food ended up being excellent, as always, and my order was done perfectly as I ordered it. I just wish it would have been done when I got there…or even 10 minutes after I got there. Because really, what’s the point of ordering ahead if you’re still not going to start it until I get there?“
