“Went here with a group of 7 for happy hour. Service was excellent, waiter was responsive. Happy hour drinks were good. Prices are fair for happy hour food but wish it had more variety. One of the people in my group mentioned the fish tacos were a bit dry and the waiter brought over some sauce for her. Ambiance is very chic. Good place to hang out w/ friends and catch up.“

“We went last week for my sisters birthday and even though it was crazy busy our server kylie was super friendly,patient and quick!! Genuinely such a great server we didn’t even need to ask for refills or anything she would notice every little thing her self and bring it-she was absolutely great-the food itself didn’t disappoint either it was really good and the atmosphere was super nice even though we were a pretty large group all staff members were super patient and helpful!“

“We tried their $45 three-course set. The appetizer and dessert couldn’t be chosen, but the flavors were okay. For the mains, my steak was too salty, and my partner’s salmon was overcooked, so overall the taste was just average. What made the meal special, though, was spotting a bear outside, which turned it into a more memorable experience.“

“Really had a great time celebrating my friend's birthday! We tired many of the antipasti, I cannot rave more about the brussel spouts (I'm not a big brussel sprouts fan either!). I ordered the Salmone and was very happy i did, the salmon was cooked to perfection, the broccolini were so flavorful, and i got to more of those fabulous brussel sprouts. I definitely recommend making a reservation to ensure you get a table, it's well worth it!“

“We stopped in after a hike at Bunsen Lake for a drink or two and were greeted with the most incredible staff. This place has a great atmosphere and great drinks. “I had a small party of 30 hosted on the mezzanine at the Watson. Service was 10/10, food was great, drinks were great as usual, and everyone had an amazing time. Mike and Sean were easy to work with to coordinate the event, and the price was very reasonable. I strongly recommend the Watson for any future events.“

“Wandered into the chickadee room while waiting for our table at a nearby restaurant. The bartender made me the most delicious Pisco sour, and his Stoke for cocktails was so high. He proudly showed me the official bitters for a Pisco sour and talked abt the banana notes.

He also made sure a male seated at the bar left my friend and I alone to our own conversation. Much appreciated.

“A great find, once you find it ! Somewhat like a 'Speak Easy' of old. Even after you find the front door, you have to persevere a bit to go in and down the a very unique venue. Was too early for live music, so will have to go back and check it out.“

“I love the creative drinks they have- regular menu and their monthly themed concoctions. I’ve never had a drink there that I didn’t love. I really enjoy the new food menu…. Pizza and charcuterie…yum.“

“One of my favorite things to explore are fun speakeasies. It feels that Vancouver is limited in that.
So when I entered into Bagheera and was expected to produce a secret code to enter then I was pretty excited for how my time spent there would be.
Bagheera is a pretty fun space with stories for each of their beverages and also their ambience. The drinks were fairly delicious and extremely reasonable during the happy hour (10 dollar cocktails).
The food was quite good but don't expect to be filled up as the portions are more snack size.
Altogether I plan to come back especially as I learnt at the end of our experience they have bottles of gin marinating in various levels of salt water.“

The one thing lacking is a brunch menu that includes espresso coffee, drink specials ie; mimosa and Caesar specials etc.
We used to come to Toby's every Sunday for their brunch and their is currently no one within walking distance that offers a good brunch.

“We came for a good bye dinner with our team. Our company closed and Glowbal was selected by numerous recommendations from our other colleagues. It was an amazing atmosphere and definitely super-tasty food. When the time for dessert came, our beautiful waitresses came with our ordered sweet cake with “Happy Unemployment “ writing on the plate. It was a bittersweet moment for all of us but our mood instantly switched to laughter and we almost forgot the cause of our gathering“

“The first thing that hit me was how clean the venue was. The staff was very friendly. We chose the prix fixe. The steak was one of the best I’ve tasted because there were no tough bits at all and the sauce was SO good. The side salad was well balanced. I am GF so I asked for veggies on the side and they gave me these grilled mushrooms that were very addictive. The cocktails were delicious and my husband’s wine was so good.“

After a little tour and tasting experience, I left with some spirits that will be making a debut in home cocktails this holiday season. Including: 1. Port barrel Wallflower gin. Very unique 2. Strawberry gin, (using real local strawberries for flavouring) 3. Creme de Cassis perfect in champagne or on ice cream (this will be fun to experiment with) 4. Smoke & Oak whisky (nice depth, no mix required) I discovered it's under new ownership and management, their impact is already beginning to shine through, I know I'll be returning to see even more of the "upgrades." Sit and sip cocktails inside where you can see the stills while being served by knowledgeable (and creative) staff.“

“I really want to give this a 4 or 4.5 but I’m giving them a 5 because the potential is definitely there - and I would like to encourage them in that journey!
The service was attentive, friendly and polite, but when asked direct questions, the answers were cryptic possibly cheeky but nonetheless unclear. It is already a bit awkward to grab the attention of a busy server, and to be left with non-answers was a bit frustrating.
The food was tasty and inventive. We had their tasting menu and each dish had a balance of so many flavours. But I guess that’s sort of my complaint, it was like some dishes trying to accomplish too much that each dish sort of tasting the same. All dynamic in flavour but it was one pow after another. Possibly not a bad thing for many people!
Interior was very cool!!! Even the outside patio was very nice. We sat a the bar and fridge door would open and close in bright cool color that strained my eyes after being in a dark room.
Broadly speaking what a fun place for a date night, but the restaurant has a few details it could iron out at its price point.“
