5 Best Seafood Restaurants near Bowen Island

“Did not know what to expect for lunch on Bowen Island but am I so glad we came to Doc Morgan's. We were able to get outdoor seating and it was so nice out. Ordered the Doc Burger which was pretty average but still really good. The cup of chowder is probably the best chowder I've ever had which is so unfortunate because I'm from the US. The oysters were also super fresh and tasty. Overall, if I lived in the area I would come to eat here multiple times but since I don't, I'll need to figure out a trip just to eat their chowder. The staff was very nice and friendly. The food was a bit of a wait but it was so nice out I didn't mind. If possible I would recommend sitting outside if it's not to hot because it was very peaceful.“

The food is very flavourful and the portions are modest. The staff make an extra effort to engage with their clients and make them feel at home.We had a platter, made up of three menu choices served on a wood board for sharing. I'm a real fan of ahi tuna, it was perfectly seared on the outside with a lovely fresh soft centre, served with a lemony risotto. The fish and chips didn't disappoint, the fish was moist and flavourful with a light fried batter. Our third choice was the prawn cocktail, six large prawns took the plunge into a fresh cocktail sauce.
