“The nettle and goat feta cestini may be my new favourite pasta dish - the balance of sweet, savory, and fresh played so well on the plate! A lot of the cocktails lean into bitter flavour profiles and their “savoury” cocktail (Pontiac ‘87) still leans more on the sweet and bitter side with a hint of salt, but they were still very interesting and well made! The staff were all lovely and attentive, a great solo dining experience for sure! Plates are made to share - bring some friends if you want to keep costs lower (but the price is worth it) :)“

“From the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave, the professional and attentive staff take care of every detail. Restaurant is large - it has great ambience, the layout provides a personal and intimate feeling despite there being many tables. The food is superb, we plan on returning to make our way through the great menu. It is the best place we have eaten at in Canada for food, service and ambience. We highly recommend the seafood tower as a way to taste through some of the menu. The grilled octopus rivalled what we have eaten in Italy. The pork belly was cooked to perfection. The wine list is extensive and expertly curated.“

“I eat Steve’s Pokes at least twice a week. I have not found a better Poke bowl out there. This includes my regular business trips to Honolulu. The blend of fish, vegetables, tobiko and Ginger are a delicious and filling meal all while being good for your health.“

“Oldie but goodie place that offers simple western food and chinese food. We went here for Chinese food and it didn't fail. We're asian and we're happy that they have the needed condiments on the table. I asked for the chili and she happily provided. We went at 11:45am and all tables were occupied for lunch. Servings were big at a lesser price. Worth the walk from Tillicum Centre.

“I am posting an amendment to my previous review because I continue to have such a great experience at the Keg and it seems that negative reviews always get posted over positive ones.
I ate a meal with my family on Sunday night and once again the experience was outstanding.
As I said below, I have eaten at The Keg a LOT and I don't review it every time because I take it for granted.
It is my favourite restaurant because they NEVER let me down.
I can't send multiple reviews for the same place, but I feel I need to.
It is not surprising that The Fort Street and Quadra Kegs have been in business for 40 years!

I Have eaten at the Fort Street Keg in Victoria often for the last 30years. I very rarely write reviews, however I felt compelled this time because how fantastic it consistently is. My family and I dined last Thursday and everything about the experience was excellent. My entire families meals were exceptional. The service was excellent (they made us feel so welcome and spoiled)! My steak was perfect, my sides were perfect, my desert was perfect! I NEVER have had a bad experience at the Keg and I have eaten there more than I'd like to admit!! I can not say enough good things about this restaurant and I look forward to my next meal!! Thank you to all the staff for making my experiences over the years consistently outstanding!!“
