“My coworker and I enjoy spending Wednesdays here for ayce ribs.
Though it’s usually busy during the 6PM dinner rush, the staff are very accommodating, even if you don’t have a reservation! Ang has been one of the most attentive staff we’ve been served by at this location, and improves our dining experience drastically.
Our top 2 favourite appetizers are the “Burnt ends” and the “Spinach dip”, both of which I recommend trying at least once.“

“Having worked in some of Victoria's premier top tier restaurants in the 80's in my previous career, I am able to recognise dining excellence. This is exactly what I experienced at Il Terrazzo a few days ago. Everything was excellent. The flavour in the dinners I experienced was truly next level, high end dining. Our waiter David was the consummate professional, offering excellent recommendations, paying attention to every detail, and never left us waiting for anything while simultaneously managing to be wholly unintrusive. Even the bus person who cleared our table knew all etiquette, had clearly been taught how to do the job with excellence. Moreover, I feel the need to comment on the portion sizes, they are truly generous. This is often not the case in high end restaurants. Despite being a very upscale restaurant, with a price point that is in line with this, the value proposition remains excellent due to the incredible flavours, texture, and food quality. Big shout out to the kitchen staff, we will be back to enjoy more of their amazing menu.“

“I shall have to come back and try it again, it was very good. I had the Takoyaki Appetizer, deep fried octopus balls and for the main course Black Arashi Tan Tan - Black sesame base with pork belly, egg, spinach, bamboo shoots, crushed peanuts, chili oil, garlic, green onion and nori seaweed.“
“Stopped here as part of a cruise excursion. Absolutely loved it. We experienced breweries up the coast from Seattle to Skagway, Alaska and this place stands out as the best. We'll definitely be back for our next vacation.

“We had a delicious dinner here and enjoyed the lovely view of the Saanich Inlet and surrounding areas. We ordered the Chateau Briand beef tenderloin for 2 and it was done to perfection served with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes with parmesan fries as well. Service was excellent.“

“I sat on the enclosed patio at this downtown pub. The wait staff were very polite and friendly. I dined on the chicken pot pie which was fantastic @ $25 washed it down with a grapefruit raddler - also delicious. Nice atmosphere, decor. Would recommend and return!“

“Stunningly beautiful restaurant perched overlooking the Inner Harbour. We had fresh oysters to start which were divine, then had the tuna tartare which was perfection personified. We both ordered steak, but two different cuts. Both steaks were inedible - they were cooked perfectly, but you couldn't chew them. The manager noticed that we both left our steaks and asked if he could have them remade or offer us a different main but we declined and told him not to worry about it, the rest of the meal was delicious. He came back and told us that he took $50 off our bill which was appreciated. He was very apologetic and accommodating. I will go back again, but this time I will order all seafood.“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a gem! Five and Dime Diner in Sidney is an absolute must. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest hostess (I sadly didn’t catch her name, but she was so welcoming), and the atmosphere instantly felt warm, nostalgic, and just happy. Our server Chelsea was the cutest vibe ever! She fit the place perfectly. Super friendly, personable, and made the whole experience feel really personal and relaxed. You can tell when someone genuinely enjoys what they do, and it shows. The food? Banging. Great prices and seriously delicious. I had a roasted chicken wrap with tzatziki and a bunch of fresh veggies, plus a side salad, and it was SO good. Fresh, flavourful, and filling without being heavy. And the little details?? Instead of the usual mint at the end, they give you a piece of retro bubble gum. Such a fun, nostalgic touch that totally fits the diner’s vibe. Overall, the food, the service, the atmosphere....everything was amazing. I can’t wait to come back. Five and Dime Diner is one of those places that just makes you feel good. 💕 Thanks everyone!“

“Fantastic!!!! The food was truly amazing and the prices are so reasonable! The bacon was thick and chewy and crispy- just perfect! Of course the biscuits were exceptional and perfectly cut and toasted. I had the egg and bacon Sammy and added tomatoes and avocado. Perfect!!! Group of 6 all raved! A diverse, spread on a theme, and I'm not a gravy fan and it too was delicious. The special steak had homemade dips and stuff, and the vege was it was incredibly complex and yummy looking. I WILL BE BACK!!! The baked goods looked fantastic, but I'm so full!“

“Drove up from Calgary last Saturday afternoon and stumbled upon Brasserie L'École after a morning of wandering around downtown Victoria, and I am so glad we did. We ordered the moules frites and the broth was so rich and garlicky that we ended up asking for extra bread just to soak it all up. The room has this warm, lived-in bistro feel with close-set tables and the hum of good conversation, which made the whole lunch feel like we were actually in France for an hour. Definitely putting this one on the list for every future trip to the island.“

“.🥲Normally have an ok experience. Today though had the Austin Benny andwas very disappointed. When they state porkbelly and you get shaved roast porkbelly that is not seasoned and because it is thinner than their bacon super chewy and distracts from the other flavours of the dish which are okay. If they rubbed it and braised the belly and cut proper thick slices for porkbelly it would do the oppisite and add to the dish 🥲.“

“Today was our first meal at Dosa Paragon - we will be back for the best Indian food in Victoria. We are glad the server recommended Chicken 65 as it was truly delicious alongside the flavourful chutneys. The chef owner chatted with us about the traditional ways and ingredients they use. Highly recommend the food and friendly service.“

“I visited this lovely place on my birthday and I wanted some small snack with my beer like peanuts but didn’t have so I ordered the dill pickle thinking it would be served on a plate like a small salad but they put it in a shut glass 🥒and handed it over to me 😭 and every table next to us had a good laugh!! I’m not mad I think it was funny and it made a memory for us so thank you for making us happy mr. pickle-man“

“Thought I’d try Chicken 649 as I heard they really good Korean chicken. I ordered the 5 piece daily special, original flavour. A good deal for awesome chicken, crunchy yummy seasoned batter on the outside and tender juicy chicken on the inside. The side potatoes wedges were big, battered & very tasty. The coleslaw was okay. It was a good sized portion and was more than enough for 2-3 people. Oh and they throw in a pop as well. I want to go back and try the other flavours. I highly recommend.“
