“We had an amazing time at Joey Burnaby. We came to celebrate my parents anniversary with our out of town grandparents. Arjun was such an attentive and entertaining server. He does his job very well. Sierra the manager was so an absolute doll!! She came to check on us throughout our evening and made sure we were taken care of. We will be returning!!“

“I came here for Japanese food and it's really good , I don't really have any complaints at all.
-The mango Tango roll was like so amazing they had more than enough toppings and the flavor was like nothing I have had before
-the takoyaki was pretty good , I loved how the outside had a crispy shell , encasing the gooey inside. It was a tad pricy for how much we got though.
-the cherry blossoms roll was pretty good I loved how tangy and sweet it was.
-The veggie udon was solid , noodles had good texture , soup could use more flavor.
- the wasabi mayo prawn was alright , the sauce only tasted sweet and there wasent enough flavor so I had trouble finishing it.

Service was good , I will probably come back especially for that mango Tango roll.“

“No. 1 Beef Noodle is a bold name to live up to, but you can’t say they are not in the running. The menu is absolutely massive. The kind that makes you pause and wonder how any kitchen can keep up. Still, the popular dishes we tried delivered. A2 with sliced noodles is a perfect way to break in your first visit, and while this isn’t the place you would expect to go for laksa, theirs turned out surprisingly good. A bonus worth mentioning is the shop next door, where they sell pre-made versions of the restaurant’s dishes for you to finish at home. Honestly, more places should be doing this. With a name like that you expect them to compete and they do.“

“This was a nice place. I realize they're sort of a chain but i find this and the sister location on Main St. to be pretty consistent and at-times fantastic. This has a similar(-ish) menu, some great options. I wish i had ordered a little more food bc the salmon was good, but a little underwhelming portion-wise. I could have almost eaten a second (maybe i was just that hungry). Service was decently-good. Two small notes i wish the diet coke i ordered had more bubbles 🫧 and also (so random, sorry) but the same few sports commercials on a monday afternoon became a bit distracting. I feel like it would be nicer without the sensory overload.“

“The ramen here is comparable to Ichiran Ramen. They use the thin noodles and it is cooked aldente. The broth is perfectly flavored, not too sweet. Everything about my Tonkotsu Ramen was perfectly harmonious. The charshui was the best I have ever had. No stinky pork smell and well marinated. The charshui was better than Ichiran Ramen for sure. I guess the only thing that was lacking was the atmosphere but when the food is so good it really doesn’t matter.“

The one caution I have is that for their noodle dishes like vermicelli and noodle soup, is that they fill the bottom of the bowl with bean sprouts so you get less noodles and make it look like it's bigger than it is.“

“Made significant improvements since I first started coming here. Honoured the birthday deal stacked with the student deal. Food was fresh and service was prompt. Restaurant is generally clean. An excellent choice for hot pot and a great late night option. Ideally suited for parties of 4-6 but can accommodate for larger parties. “This place is QUITE!! The wait staff is exceptional and the food is to die for. If as higher rating had been available they would be higher.
We sat outside, the weather was nice. Reservations were for 7pm and we were seated immediately.
It was our 30th anniversary, I made the reservation using the “Open Table” app and when EVERYONE greeted us, they wished us “Happy Anniversary”“

“Wow, we are so happy to finally find a quality sushi place in Burnaby! Everything was wonderful. The food was fresh, delicious and well presented.
The agadashi tofu, on particular, was unique (very lightly battered with awesome sauce).

All their pastries and sandwiches are freshly made every single day and they have beautiful personalities as sometimes they will go over the top to accommodate you. “We ate here after a hike, and I got to say this sushi place is outstanding! We had Dynamite roll, Salmon nigiri, Unagi nigiri, Kilala House roll, Salmon maki and Tamago nigiri. The dynamite roll and the salmon nigiri was alright, but the unagi nigiri and Tamago nigiri were the best. Unagi nigiri melted in my mouth and the Tamago nigiri was so sweet and tasty. “Reading these reviews make me so confused! Maybe it’s because I tried it after they put up the “under new management” sign.

Last week I went to Aroma which is on the opposite side of Crystal mall, and has a much higher rating, and was very disappointed with their popcorn chicken and beef noodle soup.

This week I decided to give Hanju a try, and it was far far better. The chicken is perfectly seasoned with the deep fried basil leaves, and the beef in the beef noodle soup just melts in your mouth. No carrot or radish fillers (the taste is there, it’s just not served as chunks) you actually get green veggies. They have some imported Taiwanese drinks as well.

The price is not cheap, but we would come back for our next Taiwanese food craving, especially with baby in tow. They have some children’s books and the seats are a lot more comfortable and clean than its competitor on the other side of the mall.“
