“Have been here a dozen times or so over the last few years. Generally excellent but the odd drop in service… disappearing waitress syndrome so staring at empty beer glass for half of my meal. Great layout and atmosphere. Regularly get standard hot wings and fries, occasional calamari; consistently good with occasional smaller portion issue. Better luck on weekends it seems.“

“we love this place, food is good, friendly staff but one thing I think they could improve on, they advertise it as a pub and restaurant, we went a month go with a family with small kids from out of town. we asked for a high chair as one of the kiddies was under one but they didn't have any, and they didn't have kids menus. We always see lots of kids in there so I think it is a good idea to cater to families with kids.“

“This place was a great surprise as I have not been to a Browns in years and I had previously been very disappointed with their prices and menu. However, after stopping at Cactus Club and seeing their selections and prices ($42 for a bottle of house wine!!!! that was not really very good at all), my bestie and I grabbed our coats and drove 4 min farther to Browns Social House. We were looking for a hostess to see if we were to seat ourselves when this pleasant young man with a huge friendly smile came up and asked if we needed help. (I assumed he was a server.) He said we could sit where we wanted and we chose a nice corner table and sat down. We laughed and told the waitress about our day. (Another whole story). Needless to say, the wine was very good and reasonably priced, the food was tasty and served quickly and the young man who had seated us came over and was actually the manager! Our server had told him of our ridiculous day and he actually came and talked to us and thoroughly added positivity to our evening of a very long and crazy day. Carter is excellent at his job and our server said they all think he's just the best. So I stand corrected on my previous thoughts of Browns. Carter and his staff changed my mind completely and instead of going to Cactus Club I will most definitely stop here instead. And currently, their Happy hour menu has changed and is now half price wine from 3-5 every day! We will try that next time for sure!“

“Our overall experience was amazing. We came after 9pm and it was all full. The host Mohit was super nice and accommodating. We didn’t have to wait much even though it was super busy. Band was good and service was also nice. Would love to come back.“

“I accidentally ordered from this location thinking that it was the Port Moody location. I called back to let them know before they make it. Unfortunately they had already made it. They took care of the bill and understood that I had made an honest mistake. The manager Micheal was very understanding. It shows how well they take care of their costumers.“

“Had an amazing lunch today at Sapperton District Taphouse. I ordered the House Salad with cajun chicken and my daughter had the Kung Pao Noodle Bowl. We both loved our meals! We also tried the Moscow Mule they have on tap and a pint of the Vertical Winter Ale from Tree (drank that too fast to take a pic, so good). We felt very comfortable the whole time. Lots of covid restrictions in place and we especially liked that our utensils came individually packed and sanitized. We found out this place is entirely locally owned and they have a cold beer & wine store inside!! We took home some Rock Creek Cider on our way out. We will definitely be coming back soon.“

Her recommendations were right on point and we loved everything we had. Kudos to management for running such an awesome restaurant. We like to give special thanks to Josie for making our dining experience a one for the books. She is an extraordinary human being we feel lucky to have met her. “Food at Jolly Mac's is consistently very good. service is always friendly. One issue is that I have been shopping at the Liquor Store for 17 years. They always had tax and deposit included in the prices. Suddenly their prices have been changed to not have tax and deposit. I am not sure why this was done. It was always better to know the price you see is the price you pay. I think this was a poorly thought out decision.“

“Great place, really good food and service, plenty of options to eat and drink. Service was really good from Tim the bartender as the 3 of us sat at the bar be a use the place was packed.

There were reserved sections that were not getting used due to waitress shortage (2 on shift) so to not stretch the staff too thin, about 4 tables (not much) so as we could not find anywhere to sit, we chose the bar.

Had a great time, and we plan on coming back soon.“

“We had our Christmas party here. Chicken dinner with a vegetarian option. The food was fine as was the service. I was surprised that a dingle glass of wine was as expensive as it was as the legion has always been famous for reasonable drink prices. Still, this is a nice location.“

I don’t come very often to this pub, but when I do it’s always a good time. But the reason I’m leaving this review; my server tonight, Jessica, best server I’ve had in a HOT MINUTE. She had me laughing the entire time, and what I really appreciated about her was her ability to just be herself. It’s so rare to meet a person in the bar industry whos not just working you for tips. 45/10 would recommend anyone to visit this place, especially if you happen to get a seat in her section 🤩“

“We had a great experience at this location. Our server was absolutely amazing and I wish I could find my receipt that showed her name. She was very informative on all of our food and drink selections.
We had the pizza selection, the table was full of pizza and it was the best choice. Wildfire and great crust with a good amount of toppings. You could easily share the pizza with a friend or eat it yourself. We did decide to have dessert as it was house made and not brought in by bulk. Cheese cake, wow! Simply devine. I'm allergic to the topping it came with and the chef was kind enough to make me a topping I could eat, that's above and beyond service. I highly recommend the pizza and cheese cake.
Great selection of beer, there is something for all tastes. Pop and cocktails available along with mocktails.
It has a really comfortable atmosphere but very Bar like. there is a patio but we arrived in a rain filled night so had to sit inside. It's clean and inviting.
Great location in new Westminster, if you're taking the SkyTrain it's right next to a station, Columbia I believe. If you're driving there is some parking out front. If not there is public pay parking a few blocks away.“

“Cat, Jeff, Elise and Sierra are great. Food is good, shared kitchen with limited menu with OSF. Drinks are cheap and good environment. Trivia on Wednesday’s with Graham is fun, and music bingo on Tuesday’s of fun too. Great little place. Highly recommend.“

“This is my go to pub/place to have an event with friends. I have been going here for years and I absolutely love it. The last few times I have gone however, it feels off or weird. The older bald bouncer guy is kinda rude and kept my friends waiting at the entrance for over 30 minutes, until I arrive and pointed out clearly free tables. It was almost like a weird power trip over these girls who were there to celebrate a birthday. I also had a previous experience with an incredibly rude manager. Other than that the rest of the staff is absolutely amazing and always contributes to us having an amazing time. Some staff need to chill out a bit though, because they change the energy of an otherwise amazing place. The food is great for pub food and the drinks are great. Whenever I get the bill I'm always shocked how affordable it is compared to other bars (which I love). Overall good place with mostly amazing staff.“

“We had a family dinner on May 30. Made a reservation, as we were 7 and had one person with mobility issues. Things were bumpy at the start as our table wasn't ready. Duty manager was visible on the floor and proactively apologized, which was appreciated. Our server Luc, was amazing, flexible and understood our requirements he was so efficient and on top of things. 10 Stars for Luc!“

“We had a great experience at Browns Socialhouse! I especially enjoyed the Alfredo Blackened Chicken — it was rich, creamy, and packed with flavour. The chicken was perfectly cooked and paired so well with the pasta. Definitely a must-try!

We also tried a couple of appetizers, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable.

“Worth the annual membership of $25.whixh provides you access to the bar and amenities whenever you are looking to host a private event or just invite some friends out for a quiet game of pool. A great spot for a drink if you're looking fo somewhere off the map, or diffent from you're usual Columbia Street pub crawl. However, you can only access with a member's invitation or your own membership. Karaoke, pool, darts, shuffleboard, meat draws an bingo are some of the perks and events to enjoy here.“
