“God atmosphere, servers were great took a bit of time getting a menu but was early on the evening maybe they were just getting warmed up. Food was extremely tasty and well prepared, everything looked fresh. Greek salad was lacking a little salt, commercial tomatoes just don't have the flavour it needs. Only other comment would be the lamb chops, at $10 a pop minimum $20, as tasty as they were that's just not reasonable price. They were good but not $20 good for 2 small chops“
“This place is fantastic! We had the ocean tasting menu and it was a flavour burst in every course. The best part was the selection of fun cocktails to open the meal. We also opted for a wine pairing to enhance our meal. The service is amazing and the attention to the small details made the evening delightful. The black forest cake was good. I wasn't a fan of the ceasar salad dressing. Service was a bit slow as there was only one server. All around first experience. I would go again.“
“I went there with my cousin and his wife for lunch. They came from Toronto. We found that the decoration, lighting and ambiance were sweet and lovely. I drank three pints of beer. “Victoria the server - you were PHENOMENAL - I’ve been to a LOT of pubs and this is my first time @ pioneer for my friends moms birthday even though I live a 5 min walk away. You gave 100% service. This woman needs a RAISE ! So friendly, understanding when we had 4 tabs for a table and keeping track of what we were spending and what our “mom” had to drink for her birthday. Barra 41 is the bar attached to Minerva's Greek restaurant (which has been around forever) and serves the same great quality food from it's kitchen. All the food & beer on tap is good, and you can also order from the restaurant menu. The atmosphere & service of this bar takes Barra the next levrl. Highly recommended and worth the trip to karisdale. Happy hour specials are offered daily from 3 - 5 PM.“
