“All was good, and reasonably fast. I enjoy when a sushi restaurant has some interesting vegetarian rolls. Asparagus roll was more substantial than most sushi places. And the honeymoon roll with tempura yam inside and mango & avocado on top was nice! It was a bit quiet with not much background music for atmosphere which was a little disconcerting being the only ones there at the time but this may not have been their usual volume maybe?“
“The best food ever, I’m Literally addicted to the chicken teriyaki noodle dish, a bit expensive, after tip, but worth every penny. Good amount of noodles and chicken, carrots and broccoli, no fillers like cabbage or bean sprouts and stuff like that, it’s 10/10 quality. And the teriyaki sauce is the best iv ever had.“
“Best sushi I’ve ever had. The fish was very fresh. Served beautifully! I have tried every place and this is by far the best. One time I visited the owner greeted me. I told him how much I enjoyed the rice green tea they serve here, he told me it’s a special blend he gets from his home town and he even sent me home with a small amount so that I could enjoy it at home as well! They originally offered table service but when Covid hit they only did take out and until now in September 2023 they still only do takeout orders. There are two tables for use in the dining room (good for up to 4 seating each) but there is no dining service available. This is a family-owned business (father-daughter). Friendly daughter who took our orders. We were the first one in when they opened for the day. When we originally came here first on Sunday they were closed. The business is closed on Sundays. Their business hours in Yelp needs updating. Open Mon-Sat 11:00a to 7:00p.I ordered the California Roll Bento Box. What would normally come in a bento box was served in a styrofoam box. It's okay since they are now just take out. Everything was delicious... the beef, salad, tempura except for the California Roll, it was not fresh and the kind you would get premade from a grocery store. “Sushi Wara is our favourite sushi restaurant in the mid Island! The staff are super friendly, helpful and will give free treats if you are a regular customer. The food is delicious and fresh and the prices are good. We definitely recommend it!“
