“Edo has some delicious noodles, and are my favourite to get on the menu. Had some sushi as well the other day, not my normal go to but was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Not perfect but definitely delicious, since I often get sad half crumbling sushi from their other locations. The ramen noodles I had were so filling and perfect, the staff were mostly friendly and patient but everytime I come in it feels like they’re judging customers, and don’t want to take our order. Besides that, the $3 Boba Summer Special is so good, sweet, and flavourful! The restaurant is also always very clean, neat, and if we weren’t always needing food on the go, it’s a really good place to eat in, and the wait time is worth it.“

“I had a wonderful dining experience at this Japanese restaurant. The quality of the ingredients truly stands out—everything was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. You can really taste the care and attention put into each dish. The staff were friendly, attentive, and very helpful. Special bravo to Jammy for the excellent service and warm hospitality, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance is very pleasant, with a beautiful Japanese-style atmosphere that adds to the overall dining experience. In terms of pricing, the cost is fair and reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food—it’s not outrageous at all. This restaurant clearly focuses on quality over quantity, so if you’re looking for large portions rather than refined, high-quality dishes, this may not be the place for you. However, if you appreciate fresh ingredients, great flavors, and a lovely atmosphere, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.“

“Everything was so good. Their fresh wasabi is a must try! Our total came to $250 for 2 adults and one child. Their pictured menu does not do justice for the actual food display! The food was a bit pricier than other sushi restaurants we been to, but the quality, display and taste is top notch!“

“I’d be happy to give this place 10 stars if it were possible! They had the best Korean food my husband and I have ever eaten and we spent most of our adult lives living (and eating) in and around New York City. A small restaurant with a fairly small but absolutely delicious menu and very helpful staff. Don’t miss it!“

“This was the best Japanese food I’ve ever eaten. I’ve eaten in some of the fanciest Japanese restaurants in some of the world’s biggest cities including Vegas, Vancouver, San Francisco, Toronto and more. This was absolutely the best out of all of them. The deep fried little crabs were amazing. The staff was wonderful and the owner was fantastic and so generous. Thank you for the great Father’s Day meal.“

“A very lovely place that I’m glad is in the downtown area. I haven’t tried all of their options, but their Onigiri is very well-prepared and the only thing I find myself eating if I need a quick lunch. Fairly priced, too, making going there often affordable.
Their imported items are amazing and vast in terms of what they have, along with having an array of great-tasting items. Their canned coffee is a personal favourite of mine. To mention, their staff is incredibly hospitable and helpful, and, at least from what I’ve personally experienced, have a stellar memory when it comes to regulars. Can’t recommend this place enough 🥳“

“We ordered delivery and WOW—hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had! If it’s this incredible delivered to your door, I can only imagine how amazing it must be dining in at the restaurant.
Here’s what we ordered:
- Salmon sashimi & salmon sushi: The fish was incredibly fresh, served at the perfect temperature, and melted in my mouth. Absolutely out of this world.
- Tuna tataki: Beautiful presentation and absolutely delicious.
- Salmon & avocado roll: 12/10. Flawless. Super fresh, with perfectly seasoned rice.
- Beef don: So good! The beef had a wonderful grilled flavor, was well seasoned, the portion was generous, and it arrived piping hot.
- Beef yakisoba: This was the least impressive dish of the order, but it was still very good. Generous portion, well seasoned, and it also arrived nice and hot.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend this place. I’ll definitely be ordering again, and next time I’d love to dine in and experience the restaurant in person!“

“I loved dining at this place. It was obviously full of regulars as we sometimes had to wait for a table. The staff were friendly and helpful. The menu included a good range of sushi and other Japanese dishes and, best of all, portions were not as enormous as seemed to be inevitable at other places we'd eaten at in Victoria. Compared to the UK (where we are from), prices were very reasonable.“

“Food taste was decent. Delicious and comforting.
What I love is the batter for tempura and yam . By far it is the best texture batter I ever tasted. Very light and super crispy.
The Tuna Tataki was simple and tasty. Tuna doesn’t have any foul or fishy smell to it.
The teriyaki is seasoned very well, I love the generous amount of sesame.
Will I go back? Absolutely yes.“

“Our chef (red coloured hat/ascot in the photos) was a REMARKABLE addition to our evening. He knocked it out of the park with the banter. I will definitely be saying this with certainty: Ever single person at a restaurant has an even higher bar to stand next to now that I know hospitality isn’t actually dead. I have been in this industry for 12 years, I’m blown away. VERY impressed. You hosted 2 groups of strangers like we were your best friends. The steak was cooked perfectly!!!!! Thank you thank you thank you! I WILL be back!!!“

The special baked rolls are the absolute best sushi roll either of us have ever tasted, like shockingly delicious. We literally think about their sushi rolls and keep mentioning it to eachother for days after we eat here, every time!“

“Just tried the new Edo Japan and had a great experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. Staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. Definitely recommend the teriyaki meals and sushi. Looking forward to coming back again!“
