“We visited this location a few weeks ago. My 6 year old nice dropped her bubble tea and broke the cup. She was sad, the manager walked over and offered to replace her drink complimentary. We appreciated this gesture as this was a special get together to spend some quality time with my sister and nieces! Thank you:)“
“We went through the drive-thru yesterday, and wound up cracking up, while being thoroughly impressed with the level of service we received.
The gentleman whoseemed to be solely working the drive-thru gave us such good service that I felt compelled to make sure that his company is aware of his invaulability to their company, so I contacted them directly, and here I post ,now. He leaned down to give both driver and passenger eye contact and address us both, got our order correct and timely, and cleverly made us laugh.
We drove away thinking how rare that is, and how few people take pride in their people skills, yet it is readily evident when people in customer service roles hate their job.
As someone who has experienced customer service roles in varying sectors, it is difficult to convey that you don't hate the job, the pay, feeling like an irrelevant cog in a system, etc. But, how refreshing it feels to be looked in the eye, and treated like a human worthy of being looked in the eye, listened to, and then utilizing those listening skills to make us crack up, not only while we were in the drive-thru , but as we drove away.
Anyway, Starbucks generally hires well. And in this case, they hired exceptionally well.
So, 👍. Thanks for the positive experience.“
“Today I went through the drive-thru to grab myself a coffee as I have had a really tough day and week finding out I needed to put one of my dogs down. As I pulled up to the window, the woman serving me could tell I was upset and had been crying. She asked if I was ok and I broke down to her. Her empathy and compassion was beyond amazing, and she even asked to see a picture of my baby boy that I am letting go of.
She then handed me my coffee and refused payment saying “I can see how loved your baby is, please take the coffee, you deserve it”. I was so in awe of her kindness, it made me cry even more! Thank you to this young woman who made my crappy day, brighter.“
