“Best pub/brewery in Nanaimo. Service is incredible as is the food. The best part is the Longwood has been brewing their own beer since before anyone knew what a microbrewery even was. Their beers are more traditional European flair than the trendy stuff most places make. They have the best Ale out slide of England and you have a choice of classy dinning upstairs or pub style pubery downstairs. Try the #ale.“

“Finally, a bar that understands the importance of a properly sized lime wedge! 🍋🟩 Too many establishments are out here cutting limes into microscopic slivers like they’re trying to make a single lime last until 2037. These wedges are the perfect size—generous, practical, and actually give you enough juice for your drink.

“On September 1st 2023 My friend and I went for lunch and sat out on the patio. The food was terrific and our waitress was amazing. We were reluctant to go there, but we decided to take a chance, and we are so glad that we did. This jewel of a pub will be our go to for our outings. I can't say enough about the great service we received. Thank you so much, it was a real treat.“

“Tried the new weekend brunch menu. It was huge portions! Best prices in town on food and drinks! I had the potato pancakes which are very hard to find anywhere these days. They were crispy and generously covered in bacon. I tried a bite of my dining partners french toast. Best I've had anywhere. I'll be going back next weekend to order that.“

“We had an amazing experience at Lighthouse, and Jing was absolutely fantastic! She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The service was excellent, and Jing went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our time.
Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and exceptional service. Jing is a wonderful ambassador for Lighthouse and truly made our visit memorable. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!“

“Brown Socialhouse in Nanaimo has been one of my go-to spots for the last 3 years, and it’s one of those places I always end up coming back to. We pretty much order the same thing every time—the Loaded Chicken Nachos, the Southwest Blackened Chicken Bowl, and the #28 Dragon Bowl—and they’ve never let us down. The portions are great, everything comes out fresh, and the nachos are honestly hard to beat. We usually grab a couple of drinks too, which always go well with the food.
What stands out the most, though, is the staff. Everyone is always friendly and welcoming, and the service has been consistently great every time we’ve visited. The atmosphere is lively but still relaxed, which makes it an easy place to spend a couple of hours with friends. Definitely one of my favourite spots in town.“

“Stopped in here while we were staying at Living Forest Campground. Outstanding Pizzas! We had the Shrimp Scampi and the Ultimate Hawaiian. As good or better than most pizza places. We will be back next time we are in the area. Service was excellent. Friendly and attentive. Well done!!“

“I love the Jingle Pot Pub. The food and drinks are pretty average but the service goes way beyond average. Sherry is a fantastic server and an integral part of this establishment. She always greets us with a warm welcome and provides outstanding service. My husband comes with his hockey buddies and I go with my girlfriend. We all love Sherry. She has a great sense of humor and an incredible memory. I highly recommend visiting for a great atmosphere!“

“We are from Alberta and found Milton street pubic house kind of by accident, turns out it was one of the best restaurants my husband and I have been to. Such great food, amazing service you will not be disappointed. When we are back in the area again, we will definitely be stopping in there.“
