“During holidays and festivals, if you're planning to sample local delicacies with your family, Kirin Seafood Restaurant is an unmissable choice. The atmosphere here, with the whole family gathered around the table enjoying each dish, is sure to leave a lasting impression. The ingredients, whether from the sea or land, are incredibly fresh and delicious. The typical dishes from Hong Kong and various provinces are unforgettable. Parking is convenient, with both indoor and outdoor options. While the bill might be a bit high, the delicious food and the warm, harmonious family atmosphere make it all worthwhile!“

“I was close by and came here for takeout. They have 20% discount for dine in before 11am and 10% discount for take out.
Food is good, I like it very much.
The restaurant looks clean not very worn.
Servers are quite abrupt and feel like they are rushing you but they are not rude.“

“Great Chinese seafood restaurant in East side of Vancouver. Quality is consistently good. Parking is available in front of restaurant. Ease to wheel in for the seniors.
Make sure you call to make reservations, it fills up early with long lineup which is the best indicator of good food around the world either Chinese or Western food.
You definitely will enjoy the food, guaranteed but you will be much poorer when you walk out“

“Great little cantonese eatery. This place is as close as you can get to matching Hongkong street stall food taste. I especially like their breakfast menu where the various options are affortably priced. I suggest you get there well before lunch time in order to get a parking spot and a table.“

“I wanted to introduce this restaurant today. Didn’t expect to find a place like this in a neighborhood mainly known for its gyms, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The menu is a mix of Cantonese stir-fry dishes and classic cha chaan teng items, plenty of variety.
What caught my attention today was their claypot rice. The restaurant itself is comfortabl e and spacious. The food quality is good, the portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable.
I ordered the chicken claypot rice with lily bulbs, wood ear mushrooms, and shiitake. The flavor was decent, though not exceptional. My only suggestion is to increase a bit the oil or water at the bottom to create a larger, more complete layer of crispy rice. The crispy bits were there, but a bigger, more solid crust would make it perfect.
The set also included a traditional Cantonese slow-boiled soup and Hong Kong-style milk tea. The milk tea was good, and the soup was excellent, full of ingredients like pork bones, chicken feet, dried tangerine peel, and peanuts. Very authentic.
For a small additional charge, you can add Hong Kong-style French toast as dessert. It was quite good, but deep fried it Longer would make it my ideal version.
Overall, it was a solid meal, and I’ll definitely return to try more of their dishes.“

“Busy busy place. Went there for dim dim as a large group. Reservations a must as there is always long line ups. Food was hot and portions were generous. We missed the special pricing as it was a holiday so it didn't apply. Still good value.“

The rice is crispy on the outside and so flavourful with their customized sauce and meats! Just make sure to order it right away since it takes about 30 minutes to make.“

“Friendly family run breakfast noodle shop located in the food court attached to T&T in Surrey.
The prices here are very decent and the front counter team is very friendly. They usually have a decent sized line of people - so be prepared to wait a little bit.
It’s good to satisfy a morning noodle craving.“

“May Rice Roll & Congee Chinese Restaurant is a solid 4-star neighbourhood spot for a simple Chinese breakfast or lunch. The rice rolls and congee were fairly average, but it’s a good option when you’re craving something mild and comforting. The owner/server was very kind and welcoming, which added to the experience. Overall, it’s a cozy local place with a steady stream of regulars—nothing fancy, but dependable and relaxed.“

“Been coming here since their grand opening in 90s. I went there as a young kid in high school and still go there now. They literally watched me grow up and our family constantly go there almost every week for a take out or dine in. Prices were uber cheap with plenty of lunch specials that were giant proportions, but now as with all other restaurants prices have gone up. Their sets used to be around $30 for 3 entrees plus a free soup, rice and a free crab. Yes we are talking the 90s and my family of 3 can eat for 3 - 4 days as leftovers. But I still go there out of loyalty and remembered tastes and food is same as before. I took 1 star off the food because I think the food has gone a bit bland...is it my old age taste buds or did they change chefs?“

“The rice noodle rolls are freshly made, but you can really taste the rice batter, which gives them a slightly unusual flavor that might not appeal to everyone. Overall, they’re just okay — not bad, but not great either. The Chinese donut isn’t the traditional Cantonese style; it’s more like a piece of fried bread, so I wouldn’t recommend it.
The egg and minced beef congee, however, is smooth, tasty, and well-balanced in flavor. It’s definitely the highlight of the meal and worth a try. Prices are quite reasonable, making it a decent spot to stop by for a comforting bowl of congee.“

“Still enjoy coming to this location. It’s spacious, easy parking, and the window seats have a nice view, which is always a plus.
The food is pretty consistent—nothing over the top, but solid overall—and service is reliable. I used to really like their signature desserts, especially the LV bag–shaped one that was super popular, but it seems they don’t offer it anymore.
Compared to other dim sum places, their plating stands out a bit more and feels less generic than the usual plain white plates. Flavour-wise, it’s about average, but as a chain in Vancouver, you know what you’re getting and the quality is fairly dependable.“

“Copa Cafe is my go-to when I live nearby and don’t feel like cooking—huge menu with everything from HK-style breakfasts to sizzling plates and sandwiches, so you can always find something casual and comforting.
Location-wise, it’s super convenient for Coquitlam residents, with long opening hours that make it an easy choice for casual meals or late breakfasts. Service is straightforward and efficient, and they clearly know many customers by face.
One practical tip: they have a membership program that gives you 10% off, which adds up quickly if you come often. Just note that starting December, the annual membership fee is increasing from $18 to $20 — still very reasonable if you’re a regular.
Overall, Copa Cafe isn’t fancy, but it’s reliable, comfortable, and exactly the kind of place you’re glad to have close to home when you don’t want to cook.“

“Another solo weekend dim sum brunch, I was in the metro town area, that’s why I picked this one. Haven’t been here for a while, I remember they are not bad. I’m glad that they are still that way.
Food is pretty good similar to the level in Richmond and Hong Kong, may be a little bit below, but still pretty good.
Everything came out hot, Sui mai is pretty good, the BBQ pork rice rolls were good as well.
Service was ok, typical Chinese restaurant service level.
Decor is a bit dated. But overall presentable.“

“Havent been to this place since I was a teenager and it definitely lives up to the positive memories.
Great lunch combos with huge portions that are big enough to share, or save for later. The vegetarian potstickers and black bean spareribs were a a standout.“
