“Delicious food prepared in Cheffy’s own kitchen, good selection of British food, very convenient when cooking isn’t an option, great variety, inexpensive (the fewer visits to the supermarket, the more the savings), the menu changes each week and friendly, helpful staff. Hint: Their delicious scones, with a different variety every week, are very popular and sell out quickly, so it’s a good idea to order them early in the week. 🥮“

“We took my parents to Butchart Gardens to enjoy their Holiday Tea. Immediately we were hospitably greeted by a gentleman offering to hang our coats and welcomed us into the dining room. Our server Lauren was most gracious and patient as she explained the menu to us. (My parents are elderly and sometimes take a little longer to do things). We were served tea and a beautiful tiered tray of sandwiches, scones and sweets. The room was extremely calm, the music added to a relaxing atmosphere. In every way, we had a most enjoyable experience at Butchart Gardens Dining Room. We will definitely visit again.“

“It was a wonderful experience as it always is unfortunately, we did not realize that the menu had changed and therefore it was only a brunch menu so we were a bit disappointed because we were looking forward to the mushroom ravioli, which is our favourite nonetheless breakfast. Brunch was good as usual. The staff are amazing. The ambiance is incredible. The view is stunning, even though it was pouring rain.“

“I frequently choose this restaurant. Love the outdoor summer dining. It’s like dining in a tree house. Staff are lovely and the food is always delicious. In winter, it’s cozy. Beautifully decorated.“

“Truffle fries were nice, sushi was good, chicken wings were tasty. Seafood chowder, however, was too thick and had an off taste. Service was good. View was pleasant. Unfortunately, we were seated among a number of other groups, and it was quite loud. We struggled to understand each other.“

“We did a private event for 38 people at this restaurant and it was exceptional! I would highly recommend this venue for a small wedding, corporate event or private celebration. Ellie (event planner) and Grant were fantastic and helping to make sure that every little detail was taken care of from the canapies, to the drink selection and food. Everything was exactly as we had dreamed it would be. The food was excellent, the servers were exceptional and Ellie made planning so easy. The flowers at the venue were beautiful and we appreciate Grant making the effort to assist us with planning our entertainment and having the Bluetooth speaker available. Everyone enjoyed the evening immensely.

Thank you so much for making our 30th anniversary so memorable! I have tons of beautiful, colourful photos… But can not share because there are people in the photos. We had the patio in the evening with the fire going and they had the buffet set up inside …everything was amazing. They even had a large bouquet of fresh flowers in the bathroom.“

“This place showed huge empathy when my mom was in the area for surgery & my dad kept coming in for coffee, meals etc. Not only did they remember my dad, they were kind, supportive & always asking him how he was & mom too! Above and beyond barely touches it, I can’t thank those working here enough!“

“We were grateful they were able able to fit in our group of 7 in on a busy Saturday night! The decor is beautiful and the drinks were excellent. However, parents should be aware that this isn’t a very kid-friendly setup. There are no highchairs, and since there is no kids' menu, we had to order off the main menu for our toddler.

Paying $17 for chicken tenders plus $4 for fries ($21 total) just to feed a small child is pretty wild. The food tasted good, but the value just wasn't there for a family outing. Also, vegetarian options are very limited. Great spot for a date night or drinks with friends, but I wouldn’t recommend it for those with little ones in tow.“
