“Good food good music good vibes! Grilled chicken bahn mi sandwich, spicy beef noodle pho, seafood pho, grilled shrimp vermicelli with vegetarian spring roll, chicken salad roll and shrimp salad roll plus avocado smoothie and caramel flan were the best! Very nice ambiance, we loved the jazz music in the background and the wash rooms were so clean! The servers were nice as well. Thank you Mr. Pho! Travelling from Vancouver to PoCo was so worth it! “Stumbled upon Solar Pho on my adventures today and had a wonderful meal at this lovely Vietnamese restaurant.

They have happy hour from 2pm - 530pm for their p.9 pho steak, brisket and beef balls (pho tai, nam, bo vien) for $11.95 + tax and tip. Amazing price for eating out nowadays. Their regular price for the bowl of pho is $16.50.

Service was excellent and the pho came out very quickly. The broth was flavorful, noodles were perfect. They also have a great variety of condiments. There menu is quite extensive and there are a decent amount of vegetarian options.“

“I’ve been searching for a place that makes good Miến măng vịt (noodle soup featuring glass noodles, duck and bamboo shoots) here in Surrey after Pho An had closed its doors. And let me tell you that this place knocked it out of the park. Broth was full of umami and the duck was extremely tenderrrrrr! We also tried the Squid Noodle soup which was also a home run.

“I drive all the way from Abbotsford for EMW, it is my absolute favourite! I always order the beef stir fry with only broccoli and the owner always makes it special as well as comes out to greet me. I HIGHLY suggest you give this place a try! You’ll be hooked. Love love love!“

“When i walked into this restaurant with my family we notice the great smell of Vietnamese food I orderd the pho tai bo vein ( steak and beef balls ) it was amazing needles to say 😋 the broth was the best ive had in a long time , very authentic using traditional ingredients ( shallots, ginger, cinnamon staraneas beef bones and much more ) im definitely going to come back here and try more dishes on their menu.“

“This is strictly a take out place. We got two different bahn mi sandwiches and the sugarcane juice. So good. A lot of people came for pickups, so i'll order ahead next time. But the bread was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The meat and ingredients were fresh and well balanced. The place was clean and they sold frozen food too.“

“My favorite place to get Pho, it's my go to spot for lunch when I'm craving soup.

The staff is friendly and welcoming, and most importantly they are fast. The food is consistent and it tastes exactly like the way it should be made.

The Vietnamese Sub is also great! And though they take longer I know that it's always freshly made.

“Very good quality Bahnmi and excellent juice selection. Recommend the Smoked Duck Bahnmi, or red pork. Do be aware that the Bahnmi tends to be on the spicier side here and we would have liked a heads up first before ordering. The cold meat Bahnmi is not spicy at all.

“What a great hidden gem inside an office building near Royal Columbian Area. The Banh MI bun was the best I've had by far also the portion is quite big. I ordered a spicy lemon grass chicken banh mi, chicken was perfectly flavored, veggies are fresh with also the picked mix, the spice is perfect not lingering but achieved by what seemed like a perfectly placed amount of pepper or a spice pepper blend? Also perhaps the owners/staff were really friendly, with fast service. I would definitely recommend people give it a try great bahn mi, would definitely come back again just for it. Vietnamese coffee is good too, just too sweet for my palate.“

“Very nice owner. My son bought a sandwich but didn't realized that there is peanut sauce in it which he is mildly allergic for and didn't ask about it prior ordering. The owner lady made him an extra sandwich without it for free of charge. Sandwiches are pretty tasty and crunchy, would definitely return.“

“We were visiting BC for a few days and stopped in after a long day out and about. The front and inside are pretty nondescript though the food was inexpensive and delicious. We asked for water and the person who brought it out said in a deadpan voice that it’s the purest water in BC. It was great-tasting water indeed and apparently he used to have a side business selling BC water to Los Angeles. The pho and grilled pork/vermicelli/egg roll combo were perfect.“

“I came back again after so many years. The bowl is big with reasonable price compared to other Pho place.
The server speaking Vietnamese was very nice and gentle with us. She offered us if we want to soak the bean sprouts with hot water (which is something very popular in Vietnam, but very rare here in Canada => that makes me reminisce of the time I ate Pho back home in Vietnam).
The Pho broth tasted good, special Pho has so many meat types inside which I really enjoy!

“Hands down one of the best Vietnamese meals I’ve ever had! The pho was incredibly flavorful — rich broth, tender meat, and fresh herbs that made every spoonful perfect. I also tried the banh mi, and it was the ideal mix of crunchy, savory, and spicy. You can tell the food is made with care and love. The staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. Fast service, clean space, and seriously amazing food. This place is a hidden gem — I’ll be recommending it to everyone!“

“Wow! Best pho I've ever had. They use two tender beef ribs along with high quality meat. The noodles are cooked perfectly, no overcooked and the texture was amazing. The broth is real beef soup, no weird herbs to mask the taste. Super Wow!“

“Update: May. 27, 2025:
3rd time back, this time for lunch with a friend, shared a couple more items:
Salad Rolls (Ham & Shrimp, 2pce) $10.99, DF Noodle with Lemongrass Chicken (or Beef) & Vegetable $18.75 and DF Chicken Dumpling (8pce) $11.99.

The dumplings have good flavour but don’t come with a dipping sauce, there is sarracha, hoisin and chili oil on the table.
The noodles were just ok, sauce isn’t super flavourful and heavy on the thickener.
Peanut sauce with the salad rolls was ok but I’ve had better.

May. 2, 2025:
Lunch today was our first visit as it has been recommended by locals and our previous go-to closed due to retirement.
We’re happy to be adding Super Pho into our rotation as pricing, portion sizing and flavour is very good.

We ordered our usual to do a comparison:
B5 Noodles w/rare beef steak, well done flank (L $15.99) and E5 Vermicelli w/lemongrass pork and spring rolls ($18.50).
Hubby who usually orders large, found the large phó too filling for him. The lemongrass in my vermicelli bowl was more flavourful than our previous go-to….and it came with 2 rolls instead of 1 for the same price at the former.
We were very impressed and look forward to trying more from their very large menu.

Located in a strip mall (Scott Town Plaza) with lots of parking .

I was surprised to see such a wide variety of different food items on the menu , like the spicy squid , which was to die for, you must definitely try this dish! The fried rice was better than a lot of chinese restaurants I have been to. The stir fried beef with rice noodle was amazing ! And the portions were huge!

They also have take out trays you can order that can feed a family of 20 , I swear . So if you’re looking to host a big event and want a variety of different foods , this is the place to go ! Aside from the food , the restaurant itself was very clean and inviting . The waitresses were really friendly and nice . I will definitely be back!“

“Hello there.. I had the salad rolls, the ones with rice wrapts, shrimp and noodles, and cilantro and they were excellent!!!, along with the tasty peanut sauce to go with it. I figured why not order the fried rolls and take them home. A wonderful snack for later on. This place is incredible with the food so fresh, you can experience the freshness when you walk into this lovely sit down restaurant. Service is great too! Keep up the good work Pho 99!!!!“

“Since I moved to north Coquitlam area I've been going to this location more than the Coquitlam center location which has been my favorite pho Resturaunt since high school era!

This location is as good. Never disappoints. Food and service are great and the people running it are lovely

“I've come to this restaurant many times and have been pleased with the food, the service and the atmosphere. Here, I came with my elderly parents (who are particular about their food). They were v. happy with the authenticity of the food.

Mum had Pho with rare-steak, dad had Lemongrass Pork & Chicken with an egg on top; I had a beef-stew with rice AND - a old-styole Vietnamese drip-coffee. Everything was yummy and everyone had a great time.

As I said before - I've been here many times and will certainly be revisiting again. I highly recommend this restaurant as a good place to eat and share with friends/family (without the fru-fru frills).“
