“We had our Christmas party here. Chicken dinner with a vegetarian option. The food was fine as was the service. I was surprised that a dingle glass of wine was as expensive as it was as the legion has always been famous for reasonable drink prices. Still, this is a nice location.“

“My experience is pretty good. I was greeted by a pink haired little lady who greeted me with a smile and was so excellent at quick conversation. I wish I got her name, but I’m pretty sure it was Micaela, because I heard a server calling her that. Our server, I believe was Jamie, was exemplary at quickly giving us our food while multitasking all of his other tables. The only thing I could complain about was the prices of the food, but the food was so. Dang. Good. I think overall the staff is what makes the experience and this time; I think the staff made the experience not only great but perfect. Amazing atmosphere as well, definitely come here for a good photo with your friends.“

“If you’ve never checked out the John B pub you don’t know what you’re missing. It is a staple of the local community. They have great happy hour prices rate selection and absolute massive bar. Never had a bad experience here out of all the times and during the summertime, we have lots of great events.“

They always had tax and deposit included in the prices. Suddenly their prices have been changed to not have tax and deposit. I am not sure why this was done. It was always better to know the price you see is the price you pay. I think this was a poorly thought out decision.“

“This is thee place to eat when in Deep Cove! The food, drinks, location and casual ambience are outstanding. You can dine inside or out on the patio on a sunny day. Her recommendations were right on point and we loved everything we had. Kudos to management for running such an awesome restaurant. “Had an amazing lunch today at Sapperton District Taphouse. I ordered the House Salad with cajun chicken and my daughter had the Kung Pao Noodle Bowl. We both loved our meals! We also tried the Moscow Mule they have on tap and a pint of the Vertical Winter Ale from Tree (drank that too fast to take a pic, so good). We felt very comfortable the whole time. Lots of covid restrictions in place and we especially liked that our utensils came individually packed and sanitized. We found out this place is entirely locally owned and they have a cold beer & wine store inside!! We took home some Rock Creek Cider on our way out. We will definitely be coming back soon.“

“I went Tuesday for the tacos and it was so good! Candy, my server, was very sweet and checked in often but without a hovering feeling. I stayed for a while because I was enjoying the atmosphere so much. More of a pub vibe than any other restaurant in the area.“

“The waitress Paige was so nice and professional with us. We came to have happy hour lunch and the food was great, the service was spectacular and we left full and happy with our experience. Paige got us a high chair for our little baby girl and was on top of refills and checking in with us. I really want to thank her and the team for how well they did today!“

“Typical pub style venue, with what I think are somebofbthe best wings in Burnaby, i.e. large, crispy outside, juicy inside (not those small wings many other places offer). For entertainment they have a pool table andbdart s that get well used. Also have Wednesday Trivia night, and Karaoke Thursday, Saturday and Sunday nights. If you want a decent pub night out with some entertainment, I would recommend!“

“Top tier semi hidden bar! It's a bit of a time capsule to an older-Van style, unpretentious sports-bar roadhouse type place. The location is unusual, sort of at the basement of an apartment complex on a road you've never been to before, situated on an urban residential cul-de-sac, giving the bar a sheen of surreality.

With many pool tables, lots of tables, two big screens for 2 different games to watch, and good prices for beer, I'd be here all the time if it was local to me.

Special mention for the food: had the chef's special lasanga last night and it was so good ordered a second dinner to try!

“Today our family celebrated three birthdays and decided to do it at Browns Socialhouse. It was the best decision. The food was delicious, and the service from Sam and his coworkers was excellent. One of us is allergic to shellfish, and they prepared her food with all the necessary care to avoid cross-contamination. All 14 of us left very satisfied and will definitely be back.“

“July 26/25 I arranged to have a birthday party for my son - in- law 69th birthday unfortunately, he died Easter Monday. But we honoured his wishes and went forward with the party, at the elk's club.
We had around 100 people there and the compassion, kindness and accommodation were awesome! A huge thank you to Joe Edan for giving us this spot. And huge thank you to Tabitha and the other bar tender ( his name has slipped my mind ) for their amazing service.
This would not have been a success, without the team work of the staff at the Elk Club!!!

“All our foods were spicy, steak, nachos, westhouse bowl and chicken strips. Only problem was that. We really felt the chef is of Indian origin. They had Cajun spice ... the service was really good. We were not so satisfied of the taste and they gave us a discount card for our next visit.“
