“This place serves truly authentic Sichuan-style skewers — the flavors are rich, spicy, and exactly how they should be. All the ingredients are incredibly fresh and well-prepared. My personal favorites are the beef tongue, pork brain, chicken heart, beef tripe, and the tender beef slices — each one cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The service is exceptionally warm and attentive, making the whole dining experience very enjoyable and memorable.“

“I really like the soup. Lots of options to put in the hotpot, and the beef is super cheap at night. The spicy beef tallow broth hit the right spot for me, which is great because I don’t find most spicy options satisfying. I also like the fried buns.

If I could ask for one thing though, I would like if there were more option for single people. The prices were definitely made with groups in mind but I would love to go here alone. Otherwise I’m very satisfied.

The broth was legit amazing and way better than all the other local pho joints and came with a decent amount of meat (2x what's shown in my photo - I already started eating before I remembered to take the photo). I'm a big eater and still struggled to eat 2/3 of it. In the end I had 1/3 of the gigantic large size left. The staff are all Vietnamese. The only drawback is that there's only paid street parking in the area.“

The mentaiko udon was definitely my favorite – super rich and flavorful, and the little pops of roe in every bite were so satisfying. The noodles were chewy and cooked just right.

The chawanmushi (steamed egg) was amazing too – silky smooth with shrimp and salmon roe on top, which added a nice depth of flavor. So comforting when it’s warm!

The agedashi tofu had a great texture – they used firm tofu with a crispy outside and soft center, and the savory sauce brought everything together.

We also had the eel sushi roll, which was perfectly balanced – not too sweet, and the eel had a nice charred flavor.

And big shout-out to the staff – super kind and attentive. The whole dining experience felt cozy and welcoming. Definitely coming back!“

“We made a reservation for dinner on Apr 22nd because we went the weekend before and it was 1 1/2 hour wait. The food was really good but small portions. We booked for 5:30pm and left at 8pm and not by choice. We took our 7 year old. His food came within about 20-30 minutes. While we got our miso, edamame and salad one at a time, It took over an hour to get our BBQ meat, and longer to get our bowls of rice. 2 1/2 hours to get our bill (with me stopping someone to ask for the bill). Our son was super excited to cook meat but was getting upset with all the waiting. Quite honestly, the 2 adults with him were too. But I would give it a try again because the food was good“

Soft crab burger, Crab portion Was much smaller than shown in the photos. A little bit to Oceany for my liking also. However, the onion rings and the salmon, fish and chips were excellent, Especially the salmon, which was very lightly battered just like I like it. Also, the tartar sauce is excellent! Service is average, our food came, and we were not checked on during our stay, but the staff did come by and clear a few plates and dropped off a couple of napkins after I requested them. The restaurant is located on the Barge, which is nice, but I feel that the interior needs a little bit of an upgrade - seems a little bit worn.“

“The best Japanese sushi you can get in Richmond. The service is a bit rushed because bookings are only for 1.5hr but if you come as two it'll feel a little less rushed. They're only open for dinner on a select few days so make sure you plan and book ahead“
