“We recently dined in March restaurant in May 2025. The food and ambiance were excellent, and we were pleasantly surprised with the discovery of this restaurant in Victoria. Please note that this is not your typical Chinese restaurant that serves the run-of the mill dishes for a quick turn-around; instead, this restaurant serves authentic Cantonese cuisines. The chef is passionate about his cooking -- they use the freshest produce and ensure that customers enjoy the pure and natural taste of the dishes. The restaurant is tastefully decorated; it is devoid of the 'loud' Chinese lanterns or traditional writings -- and this reflects the owners' attention to detail. Dining in March is a delightful and satisfying culinary experience. Highly recommended!“

“Our first time. I thought it was 10% off for take out. Ordered dinner for 3. Beef and broccoli was great need more beef. Sweet and sour pork very tasty but small portion. BBQ fried rice I enjoyed partner preferred another type. Chowmein was fine but bland. Reasonably priced.“

“The BEST Asian food ever in downtown Victoria. Not only are their prices reasonable, but it’s delicious, the owners are very nice and I always have a wonderful experience there. I highly recommend their honey buns. Sooo delicious!

“We went to Beijing Bistro for our Friday before the wedding rehearsal dinner, so they hosted a large group of 2 tables. They did a fabulous job of making sure we were taken care of, and the food was amazing. Can't wait to go back to my new favorite Chinese Food place here in Victoria!“

The staff here are also super friendly and always willing to provide a great service to their guests the owner she is also very nice and welcomes her guess with open arms. “The service and food were exceptionally good. We were a very large group and they accommodated us all. Our dishes and drinks came very quickly and our server, Gary, was the life of the party and was so warm and friendly. We were all laughing and vibing. Every dish was delicious and cooked perfectly. We ordered the Peking duck, seafood chow mein, Shanghai noodles, sweet and sour chicken balls, Szechuan green beans, gai lan, ginger beef, wonton soup, shrimp egg foo yung and salt and pepper squid. It’s hard to say what my favourite dish was because everything was so tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant, it’s a great place to go with friends.“

I just want to this place for the first time ever for lunch. Staff was friendly didn’t take long to get my food and it tasted great and fresh.

The veggies are fresh , cashew chicken and sweet and sour chicken were great , we asked for extra bean Sprouts on the chow mein and they loaded it up, didn't just put a few on top like others. It was one of the best Asian dinner I have ever had. Thank you!“

“We had a Chinese Christmas celebration at Golden City today. We were about 180 people and they still made room for others who came for lunch. There were over 10 courses which were all delicious - hot and fresh. There was a set up for music and people from our group sang Christmas carols and Chinese songs at a karaoke mic. The service was excellent. The price was reasonable. It was fun all round.“

“Oldie but goodie place that offers simple western food and chinese food. We went here for Chinese food and it didn't fail. We're asian and we're happy that they have the needed condiments on the table. I asked for the chili and she happily provided. We went at 11:45am and all tables were occupied for lunch. Servings were big at a lesser price. Worth the walk from Tillicum Centre.
